I got mine today ls16R extremely happy excellent for laptapping guitar action is just right. Comes with elixirs polyweb strings. Engleman is not as hard as Sitka spruce but I'm happy with it. Guitar is a guitar it's the musicians that makes the sound he or she hears
Sound is good! But one thing made me worry about it's the factory set string action, I've watched this and some other demos on youtube that those demo players put the capo on the first fret after played for a while. Usually we will do that because the string is too high (or not really comfortable to play). Of course, I know we need to setup the guitar by the guitar technician after purchasing but that is another matter.
Hi - Alex here, the player in the video. Thanks for your message. In lots of videos for Peach I would do one piece plectrum style and one piece fingerstyle. I’d also do one capo and one without. I notice in this demo I’m matching the keys of the original songs, another thing I’d often do. So the first piece is Dreamin’ Man by Neil Young and the second is Such A Woman. Both are in the same keys as the original. IMO Yamaha are extremely consistent with QC but every guitar sold on the Peach site genuinely goes to the techs. There are four full time techs in there doing thorough setups, not just quick checks. They will even accommodate special requests from the buyer. I hope that helps and all the best 👍🏻
Hi there - the scale/string spacing/nut are the same, the body length is 16mm less and the body width is 35mm less. The body depth is pretty much the same. I hope that helps! Alex
