@@justinthyme2666 Man, I did have tested it, but I discovered Dreadnought is my stuff. Then I went for the Martin Dreadnought Junior, but both are amazing!
Both are great guitars, now we ear more bottom and deeper bass in the LL and it's exactly what we can expect from her Dreadnought shape . The LS more clear here but in higher frequencies and again it's what we should expect but basses are really good for her size. Now it's belong to us to decide what we prefer. For me it's the LS because it's a smaller body and i prefer a different sound with my takamine who is already a Dreadnought. Thanks a lot for the really good playing and recording sound. It's a really perfect video. 🙏👍😏
After trying both extensively, I settled on the LS16 as it seemed to be more articulate for fingerpicking. Don't regret the decision one bit. I'm using Elixir Nanoweb 12-53 strings.
Nice comparison. To my ears, the ll16 has too much basses, which overlapses the other frequencies. Lot of projection too, which made it ideal for street playing, in a noisy environement. The ls16 has less projection and a perfect balance, which made it ideal for home playing and recording.
I have a Yamaha LS16M. It's a beautiful guitar with a lovely sound. It's a mid-range guitar price-wise that sounds much more expensive than it is. It's a classy instrument that I like as much as my pro-series Takamine. It was so much better than any other guitar I tried in that price range. I haven't played the LL16, though, but its sounds great in this test. It just depends on whether you want an OM or a dreadnought-sized guitar. The OM will sound more crystaline and focused while the dreadnought will be louder and more powerful.
Great comparison, Thank You, I have been looking at these, and was on the fence. A huge difference between the two. I wish I could get both. It depends on your musical focus. I am ordering an LL since I have an FS 3.
I can pick one blindfolded and ear plugged. Either of them fits my playing style. Although the LS 16 sounds brighter, The LL 16 still is clear on finger picking.
I'm 6' 2" and pretty thin. The LL16 just feels better snugged against me and besides, I already one one. If I had the extra cash, I would condider an LS also. They both are top class!
I've played the LL16ARE for some time now. Bought it 2nd hand here in Australia. It's the sunburst model like in the video and I love it's sound and build quality. I've put it up against Martin HD28s and it holds it's own very well. Do Yamaha still make this model?
Hi, would love to know your thoughts and preference on either the Yamaha LL16, Taylor 110e or Martin DX2e. I mainly am playing rock covers (strumming). Cheers
La única diferencia es el tamaño. La ls es más pequeña. Por lo demás, los materiales son los mismos. Tapa de abeto maciza, aros y fondo de palisandro macizo, mástil de 5 piezas y diapasón de ébano.
tested LL16 and LL TA and fgx830 LL TA is more interesting for live game, for friends scoring effects and good rich sound, although LL TA is all the same as LL16 only without effects and active pickup, but the sound LL16 for me is better richer, fuller, and inconnected version for me, too, LL 16 sounds better, but a little disgusting, and LLTA for me for some reason the upper frequencies for some reason not very clear, soapy, fgc830, timbre weak guitar, but in the connected state due to the equalizer or parametric middlesounds better to me than LL TA, LL 16 full sound, but more for blues style, folk, for rock music in the connected state fgx830 c is more controlled by the equalizer. if for sound recording through a microphone I would recommend LL 16 or LS 16, for playing at a concert fgx830 c is probably more practical
Fgx830 is the sound that different then these? I like Mike daws style playing and I’m trying to find a guitar for a decent price and I keep hearing Yamaha just not sure which one?
Well I hear the LS overall much better than the larger LL. Much more articulate and emotive. Sure the LL has more bass- but the tone is just sort of even and blocky. LS all the way.
That is perfect. No words, same example, different nuances and attack. Bravo, c'est du très bon travail !
Great comparison vid! This is really one of the two best I've seen on these models. TYVM!
Great demo. Both sound wonderful. I like the warmth of the LL the clarity of the LS. If I had to pick one. LL dreadnought every time
Incredible sound!
I'm getting this LS16 for sure.
Did you ever get one?
@@justinthyme2666 Man, I did have tested it, but I discovered Dreadnought is my stuff. Then I went for the Martin Dreadnought Junior, but both are amazing!
@@eudanielramos I actually played a dread Jr the other day for the first time. It did have a really nice tone and feel to it.
@@justinthyme2666 Yes, the Dread Jr is really great, I'm loving it! Soon I'll post some videos with it on my channel. 😉
This is a really proper comparison, great work!
best comparison demo ever. thank you
The LL16 seemed a bit warmer and articulate. Yamaha just simply isn't given enough credit by some for the fantastic, quality instruments they produce.
To me LS sounds more precise articulate and more balanced. I would definitely go with LS but both guitars are great instruments 👍
@@post.sonitum Somehow the LS16 seemed warmer and more articulate
Great comparison. A great addition to this woud be adding the lj16 to the comparison. 🙏
I love the sound of that LL!
I like the crispy sound of the LS. I've always love the dreadnought but starting to appreciate the LS size.

Yes correct👍

Terima kasih, secara singkat saya sependapat dengan LS16

The LL 16 still is clear on finger picking.
The LS has more clarity for fingerstyle and the LL more balance and depth for strumming. Both nice guitars.
I'll take one of each thank you very much...

What was the piece the guitarist played at the beginning of the video?
Both are great guitars but it seems to my ears that the ll16 has more projection. Great comparison.
제가 청년때 LL16 한동안 사용했었는데 지금도 소리를 못잊어요 ㅎ
Is there much of a size difference when playing them? Thank you.
Great playing !
Do they have the same thickness and playability on the neck? Great comparison!
Thank you very much, that was helpful
Which do you recommend, ll16 or ls16, for solo guitar?

Does LL16 has either Rosewood or mahogany back and sides?
There is only Rosewood in LL16.
