I can't believe i had never heard the piano piece at the end until now. I dont play any instruments, but sometimes i really enjoy how a masterpiece like this is broken down!
Sad thing is the ending is missing the rhythm guitar and a whole riff in itself that goes along with the riff that plays in this video, if you have all the elements it's even more beautiful
That chorus riff connected with me in a weird way. Like I just heard it in a random Guitar Hero gameplay and it like called me to actually pay attention to the song. Its amazing
Open up this video in one window, and the drum track in the other. Start the drum track, and riiiiiiiiight before it hits 3 sec, press play on this one. I got lucky enough that right now (my first try), they are playing in perfect harmony. It's a pretty cool sound with just syn and the rev
@@komodocoon4735 the rhythm part alone probably requires a good year of dedicated noodling to get fluent and effortless with it, if starting with basic Enter Sandman Guitar Center level of competence. This is based on how long it took me to play the 'I'm The One' rhythm part. Then the solo is more work. I think 3 years is possible with dedication. Gates is really fantastic.
@@guyincognito320 I'm the one is easy work bruh even the Nightmare solo a good guitar player can probably learn in about 20 minutes but shi gotta put in the work first 💪
Except if you buy that you won't be playing it the way the band plays it. Those tab books all sound right but if you watch the artist play it it's rarely the same.
James Butler yes! i agree, because learning it by ear, and watching syn play it, and then look at the tab books, its in a totally different position. like nightmare especially, and critical acclaim. i havent actually bought the books, but just looking at previews i can tell most of the book is going to be like that. the only transcriber team that i think get it 100% is jordan baker and ryan.. they did dream theater tab books since 2005's octavarium, and all of dethklok's stuff, and disturbed's indestructible.. i trust these guys.
The best tip anyone can give you is just to practice, I'm teaching myself and the best way to do it is just to sit down for an hour or so a day and just play, if you are finding that you don't want to sit there and play, you've got the wrong instrument.
This is the actual guitar track from the Album. This is Syn playing. This isn't a cover. But good tabs can usually be found on ultimateguitar or songsterr.
The intro whammy bar shit is so strange to learn, all the tabs/videos are of the live version I came up with G5, B5 harmonics almost together, then 7B and 5B, and finally G5 again. The 7B and 5B you start with the whammy bar already slightly pushed down.
where the 12 and 10 are on the e string, play 5 3 on the a string then drop to the e string and play 3 5 6 5 3 0 0 3 5 6 5 3 0 then repeat. its a lot easier than going 12 10 3 5 6 3 what ever
depends on how long/consistently you play, Ive been playing for about 8 months. and I am only having troubles with the lick at 0:45 and the 2:05 - 2:08 and 2:20 onwards parts of the solo
It's just the base note and the another note a whole step below that which he bends up to meet the base note that's why it sounds so insanely epic and crunchy if that made any sense
Hey i've always to be a guitarist and from what you said in your comment ,you've seem to know what your talking about.Do you have any tips you could give me?
1. Those bends before the solo sound so much cooler by themselves, holy shit. 2. I had no idea the breakdown (3:52) was so sloppy. I guess it's easily overlooked in context

that moment when you can jam to the guitar track as much as the full song.

Such a beautiful ending he captures the feel perfectly

90% Of the people that watch this can / want to play guitar. :D
deotten2 this is very true.. lol, im probably going to transcribe this by ear
True. I came here to figure out that dive bomb at the begininng
andrei260902 oh lol.. io dont have a whammy, so i dont have to worry about that.. just hit the D chord
+oldGnRrocks1 I don't have one either , but Imma get a floyd rose guitar for Christmas (and no, i am not a 5 years old that belives in santa clause)
andrei260902 you cant figure it out if you dont have one lol... syn himself doesnt even know what he did, now he just improvises
Synyster Gates is just brutal on the guitar

Loving that delay effect in the chorus riff

Practice my friends and you will be able to play this. I am practicing this. :D
the part at 0:32 is seriously harder to play than the solo for me
The main riff with open 3,5,6 on the low e string is so easy, but it hurts my freakin elbow after a while
no, fast palm muting open d then 3,5,6 part, aka the core riff
It took me 2 months to play this perfectly, but not so perfectly
4:45 the best part actually
all hail to the king
thumbs up if you started to play guitar and realized it will take you years till you're that good!!
0:25 - 0:32 sick delay, perfect execution, Syn you are a God \m/
You can find the Avenged Sevenfold City of Evil Tab Book at Guitar Center just thought some of you might want to know

that would look messy
What a Great Guitarist honestly he is so very (Unique).
I love the chorus with just a guitar :)
Favorite part is 4:23 - 5:11

Because those people don't believe in fairytails, so they're going to hell.
lol xD I know right

Deal with it
Because this jerkoff uploaded it in mono
But it's only Syn's guitar, so it would be only in one side

Awesome solos synyster does 🎸
how are you getting just guitar tracks? you are my hero
