  • We needed a small washing machine for the 5th Wheel since where Melissa is staying they have no laundry facility at that campground. In this video we are trying it out here at the house for the first time. Not a bad little machine. I used my old camera to video this.

    I had an 85 year old aunt in a 3rd floor apartment that used one of these for 5 years. She put a drying rack in her bathtub. Did laundry while she walked to her job as a jazz singer in a Kansas City Plaza hotel lounge . What a great gal she was. Hope you like yours half as much as she did. Thanks for the video brought back a good memory. Becky

    Without sounding like a know-it-all but no-one is using this thing properly:
    You wash in the big tank.
    To rinse, transfer clothes to the spinner, spin.
    Then fill the spinner (cover the clothes) with water, that's why there's an inlet to the spun side, and do a short spin.
    Do this (probably twice more) until the water on your last rinse runs clear. Add softener to the last rinse water and finish with the long spin.
    Adding water as it's spinning isn't rinsing the clothes, it'll just get pumped straight out.
    Hope this helps x

      Actually if you want to use softener, you gonna have to use the wash tub, because if you don't, the softener will spin out of the clothes before it has time to absorb into the fabric.

      I use it differently- spin the clothes to get a lot of soap out as the washer empties, refill with clean water, then put the clothes back into the washer part for a few minutes so the agitator clears the soap out. Repeat before spinning for the final time.

    Hello there. I retired to the Dominican Republic and These machines are used everywhere because most can't afford regular machines. More and more people are in the last few years are getting regular machines but most still use these. Once you finish the wash after draining you REFILL the same side to rinse and fabric softener if desired. The smaller side (the right side) is for drying only. I hope that helps.

    I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the new machine I live in a country where traditional washing machines are outrageously expensive. We are a family of four and we use one like yours and a smaller one also. One important thing is if you fill the spinner up too much it will sometimes sling the clothes out. You will have to adjust your soap usage because it is not the same measurement as the soap manufactures recommendation. Oh and I love the spin cycle. We use a clothes line and our clothes are dry in about 15 minutes on good sunny days except for jeans

    You have quite a following. I'm surprised you didn't read the instructions first. There's a weight maximum for the wash, The spin maximum is about 1/3 of the wash size. Overloading will damage the machine. Most people spin out the soapy water in the spin side, then refill the washer, agitate again to rinse out more soap, then spin again to remove all the soap.

    These machines are the same as a conventional washer only they are done manually. Conventional washers have cycles, wash,spin,rinse, spin. The water inlet on the rinse side is to allow spurts of water to help rinse off as much of the soapy water as possible just like a bigger washing machine does. Once the clothes are done with the first spin, you fill up the wash tub again with clean water, and start the rinse cycle. Then you give the clothes the final spin, and get ready to hang to dry.

    That machine is so pretty! I actually just got one that is a smaller 13lb model and I chose it for it's style and the fact that it is manufactured in the United States (Best Choice.) Plus, that's the size I really needed in my space. I was leaning towards a larger 17lb Giantex (or sometimes called Costway) at first because it has good reviews, and it has a lint tray, along with the fact that it was only about $20 more. But the deep blue lids to the one I purchased was what I was going to look at every day so... I got mine for $79 on Google Express which offered a 20% discount for first time buyers. It linked to Best Choose Products, otherwise there would of been no discount if bought straight from them. I should receive it in a few days and can't wait. They can be found for under $100, in fact I got mine for $89 with free shipping from WaMart online. They go a great job. I also want to add, I used mine heavily and had farm grime too. Mine is a gravity drain which was a problem for me. Too heavy to lift into the bathtub. So I had to buy an aquarium pump to pump the water out of the washer. Then I have to let the rest of the water drain by gravity into a plastic tub. It's a nuisance. But I still use it.

      on amazon u can get a pull out clothes rack. its a bar about 18 inches long you attach it with super glue near your shower head on the wall. then you pull the bar directly out from the wall and 5 cords will stretch across the length of your bathtub and you attach a couple hooks on the far side to hook it onto. gives you 5 cords to hang stuff on.

    Wash once with soap. Drain. Then to rinse, wash again with just clear water. Then move to the other side and spin dry. ... My big washer, washes, drains, spins the dirty water out, fills again with clear water, agitates, drains, spin rinses, then spin dries, but I think you can get away without spinning the dirty water out and just agitating with clear water if your clothes are not construction dirty. If construction dirty I may rinse with clear water 2 times before I move it to the other side. 😉💝☀🌵 Did I tell you it hit 100f yesterday.

    No rinse??? Not good! I wouldn't want soap on my skin. Do a rinse cycle add some vinegar to the rinse cycle which Will remove the soap and acts as a fabric softener. I have been using vinegar in my laundry for years. 1/4 cup for large loads.

    • @flowerhour9539
      @flowerhour9539 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      And vinegar kills germs. All we need to clean anything...but companies that make cleaning products don't want us to know that😆

    maybe you could do a wash cycle with just clean water after the soap

    • @mel2000
      @mel2000 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A rinse cycle using soapy clothes in clean water will just slosh the clothes around in diluted soapy water, which will redeposit on the clothes. Best to run the soapy clothes under the faucet in a sink or tub so that the clothes can get 100% rinsed.

    After wash cycle drain and refill wash ur clothes with no soap for 5 minutes that will take soap out of clothes. Then move clothes over to the spin that's what I do and it really helps getting the soap out.

      Tiffany Jones I’ve had mine since March of this year, and it’s still going strong. I actually load it up, even wash my king size bed sheets and pillow cases. A lot of people barely fill them thinking it won’t wash properly but my clothes go in dirty and come out very clean and fresh.

      @@jamieboy116 I've had mine for a month now and it is the smartest home purchase I've made in a while. It is absolutely worth every penny. I've ordered a 2.6 cu ft. compact dryer to complement the Della.
      If anyone is looking for a rugged workhorse of a washing machine, this Della is it! I purchased mine directly from the distributor, OneBigOutlet.com for $132.97 Free Shipping & No Tax.
