  • i have rearranged the clips of my osram xenarc comparison between Nightbreaker unlimited and cool blue intense.
first i went with the nightbreaker because of the 70% more light as they claim and the better visibility in night and rainy conditions. the result was really disappointing as the movie shows.
i changed the bulbs into the cbi version from osram. there is a big difference. both D1S lamps are purchased from amazon because of the originality.
    filmed with iphone 6
    Winner: CBI

I was also in doubt about which one's to take. But after long reading i went for CBI cause it's much whiter than UNB. Also CBI original temperature is 4850k but it can go to 5500k depending on lens and transformators. Also most important thing is how clean the lenses are. But in fact CBI is much whiter than UNB and they both give 3200lumens of light

Thanks for the video. I m going to change my Nightbreaker unlimited for the cool blue intense because the nightbreaker are very very disappointing!!! There is No more light and its a yellowish light

I just installed a pair of CBI D2S's in my D3 Audi S8. The light output is a lot whiter than the original 4300k bulbs.

Have you tried the Osram nightbreaker laser yet.? Hope it will beat the CBI

Hey... bescheidene Frage...

Did you end up keeping the CBI, liking them better than the Nightbreakers? How's the visibility in the rain? Any regrets about the CBIs?

I had the NBU and replaced them with the CBI. The NBU are so yellow they look absolutely horrible. I didn't regret my decision.

Are the Nightbreakers as yellow has halogens? The only thing keeping me from going CBI is all I've read about how CBIs are horrible in the rain, especially on a black road.

+ThingsDemystified No they are not that yellow. the light is white but it's kinda yellowish. When it's raining very heavy even with the NBU it looks like you have no lights on. The CBI are not that bad in rain as people say. you know how the Internet works :-) rumors are spread very fast.

Well, I was reading user reviews, so it wasn't hearsay. But if you say that the Nightbreakers aren't much better, then I guess I just need to see if I'm willing to pay extra for whiter light. I hear the OEM color is less fatiguing. Have you noticed any difference?

      @RikiJasmin 8 ปีที่แล้ว

+ThingsDemystified I actually didn't notice a difference. But Im a lorry driver for almost 20 years now. So that isn't really a problem for me. I guess you have to try both out :-)

Because the light shutter kicks up on the right hand side, depending on what side you drive on in you country, if you drive on the left then the lights with kick up to the left, as it will do the same if you drive on the right hand side of the road, it so you don't blind oncoming vehicles and to see the road signs better, in America they have more of a flat beam.

Ehrlich?

How to get cheated by the camera, Xenar Coolblue = 2800lumen, Nightbreaker = 3200, SIMPLY.
Coolblue are OEM osrams tainted on blue, like Sivlerstars on silver… omg.
