  • Evergreen Speedway, constructed in 1954, is the only NASCAR-sanctioned track in the state of Washington. With six different race track configurations, including a nationally renowned figure-8 track, Evergreen is a unique experience for fans and competitors alike. #nascarroots

Such a fun track, sure the amenities are outdated and need an overhaul but there is a mix of legit great racing with late models, street stocks (my favorite to watch there), legends and even winged sprints. The figure eight classes are just plain stupid fun to watch. I raced a hornet car for a couple years there and the culture in the pits/infield is fantastic. I bought a car with no idea what i was really doing setup wise and next thing I know there are 3-4 different racers and crew members helping me set my toe and even helping me cut springs over an off weekend to lower my car and get it in better shape to race. They dont do it anymore out of safety concerns but the winged sprint cars used to run the big track and it was insane, 18.59 on a 5/8th mile track and hitting around 160mph end of rhe straight at corner entry with only 8 or so degrees of bank is insane.
Edit: Link to a video of a winged sprint qualifying on the big track if anyone wants to see how absolutely nuts that was. th-cam.com/video/QPO3y_V-ZLY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BhBSoDnbCRyHRyaM
