Took a trip to north wales last week an found a few charcoal burners and a massive load of Orange chanterelles, was absoultely delighted to find them on my walk as ive always wanted to see them in the wild since I learned about them. You are very right they do taste delicious!
We've been enjoying several chanterelle species the past two weeks here in Croatia. Charcoal burners, too. Thank you for your informative and inspiring videos!
In Norway it's probably still several weeks until it's likely to start growing chanterelles and other edible mushrooms(those I know). I'm so looking forwards to the season starting, and hoping for good mushroom weather with enough rain.
first parasols in berlin made an excellent schnitzel next to the dryads saddle and chicken of the woods tacos early this month, it's gonna be a good season.
Hey Marlow and the team. Thanks again for the insightful video! I always love to watch when I see a video pop up on my subscriptions. Besides, I am interested in joining one of your foraging courses this summer, in the month of August. I am Gloucestershire based. Might I have to join a Herefordshire course in order to have you as my guide, (not that I wouldn’t be delighted with other fantastic, knowledgeable members of your team, but I feel most acquainted with you Marlow, mostly through these TH-cam videos! Haha!) Well, once again, thank you and I hope to see more videos this coming summer from you and the team up and down the country! PD Maybe a nice idea for your channel could be a ‘forage abroad’ series. I’d love to have you over here in Asturias, Northern Spain, and explore the wonderful abundance of nature we have here, too; biospheres, nature reserves and the like! 🎉 I also signed up to your newsletter yesterday, Owen. Have a great week!
Hi Owen I mostly run the Herefordshire courses now, though I sometimes get to other venues. Best to phone the office if you want to be sure and ask which courses I've been assigned to ;)
Dude! Did you clip your hair by yourself? 🤣 I see you have a wedding ring. Maybe ask your wife to check your head before going outside! Lol! 🤣🤣🤣 I have to play! It's all good! 😂🤷🏻♀️
The two biggest mushroom killers look like fresh field mushrooms when growing. The Destroying Angel and the Death Cap. So unless you Really know your subject (it takes years) don’t pick mushrooms. You need to warn people- a photo in a book doesn’t help!!!
For public info: The Death Cap (Amanita palloides) Destroying Angel (Amanita verna) BOTH Deadly and always the Uk consumer pick to eat. 70% mortality if eaten. The have white gills where as field mushroom don’t. BUT to the public the just look fresher. 🤨

Hello! From.Jacksboro, Texas!
Hello :)
Afternoon Marlow, thank you very much for all your great info! I have these little perishes in our Scottish Highland, are they rare?
No, they’re more common than people think as they are often mis id’das cibarius :)
Would love to have this book but the wild food uk site wont ship to Ireland and Amazon doesnt have it :(
use www.summerfieldbooks.com they ship our book worlwide :)
Superb video thank you 🍄👍🏼
Under oaks in NY…
picking only this mushroom. Super simple to find. I hope in the future VR glasses will be able to visually detect them
To be honest, I think that would detract from the fun of it. Identifying and learning about mushrooms and plants is one of the best bits!
Hi, could you tell me if this is the chicken of the woods ?
? no these are chanterelles :)

My wife cut my hair just before this video! :)

More for me!
You're new here, aren't you.
They look nothing like field mushrooms.. They have white gills for a start. Please watch the rest of my vids x
