Jerry Lee Lewis was a great pianist, singer/songwriter, performing and recording artist. He took blues, boogie woogie, country & western, and gospel music, and blended them together, and played like the piano keys were on fire and hot to the touch. He played the piano like no body's business. He had his own style unmatched by anyone. Though "Little Richard" Penniman and Antoine "Fats" Dominio were also great pianists in their own right, they also had their own style apart from Jerry Lee. It is sad to think that three greats from the same era of time that were pioneers and helped give birth to rock and roll music and contributed so much in the early days of the music are all gone now. They are solidified in music history and there will never be anyone like them again. And talk about wild, Jerry Lee was known as "the killer" for a very good reason. May all of them rest in peace. 🙏
J'ai eu l'occasion de voir Jerry Lee Lewis jouer en public en France; ça a été un grand moment. (mais il ne cassait plus les pianos). On a perdu un grand pianiste de rock.
