The pointer makes this video for me I love it! Love your process, I did something similar this week, and will be heading to scrapbook expo today for the weekend!
At Christmas I ran off all of my pictures for 2022 and pulled out the ones I had left for 2021. I sat down and found paper, embellishments and sketches for all of the layouts. I figured I had close to 120 pages to complete. My New Year's goal (haven't had one in years) was to complete a layout a day for the first 120 days. I typed up all of the layouts I needed to complete. When I have a bullet I can fill in, I get to work! Today I just finished layouts #95-98. Woot. When you have prepped for a goal or even just a crop, you can get so much done. The mess is worth the stress so you'll be super prepared at your Expo crop. Have fun. The Expo stopped coming to Denver in 2019 and it has been kind of pathetic for crops around here.
They stopped coming here for a few years and almost didn’t come back this year. I didn’t get much done but what I did get done was from layouts with ideas! But sounds like you are on a roll so great job!!! I need to get busy again!!
I learned from Laura Alberts to take tiny star and heart punches to crops. Sometimes they just add that little something that is missing on the layout. I also bought a sidekick and a trimmer that stays packed for crops & retreats. Now I no longer forget those items at home. I also wanted to thank you for the CM tool tote idea a few months back. I bought one and it is a game changer for me.
I’m fine with linking others! Share the love. Although TH-cam will probably not mind. I’m interested in the video by her too. Can you tell us what it’s called?
I was at a Thursday-Sunday crop last week. I wanted to use what I had on hand and not come home with unfinished pages. I did a little pre-planning and pulled papers for the pictures I wanted to scrap. I accomplished so much and I hope I do it again when I go in July.
First of all, I love your pointer!! 😂 So cute! Second, I enjoyed this video, I always like to see how people pack for crops and retreats. I found I do best with prepping page kits similar to how you did it - pictures, sketch and in a collection kit. I'm so much more productive when I already have my pictures edited and printed to size according to the sketch. I make notes if I have changed anything about the layout during my planning. I also recently just started trying to do my journaling ahead of time, too. That way my layouts are completely done, but I'm not always able to. In that case I bring them home and finish there. Hope you have fun and take pictures or a few video clips for us to see!
Thank you! I kinda “borrowed” that pointer from my son awhile ago 😂 I wasn’t as organized as I thought so I made a few notes and hope to be better planned for next time!!!
I’m going to Creating Keepsakes in Hillsboro this weekend! Can’t wait! I’m taking some SCT classes that I didn’t get to do because our power was out the whole weekend. I’m hoping to get them all finished.
I have never been to a crop but really want to go. Your packing has showed me what to take but I don’t have a clue as to what to expect. Is there any way you could take video or pictures when you get there to show how it is set up and the table space you get. Thanks for sharing
I’m sorry I read this too late but it really is just like scrapbooking at home only it’s in a big room with a lot of other crafters. Different crops offer different size table space. I would recommend going. Even if you have to go alone. The very first time I went alone I met my best friend there!! I hope this helps!!
Hello Heather. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed this video and seeing how you organized for the crop. What are the jackets you use to make your kits or store your collections?
I am going to do a video about what I store my collections in very soon. There are a few different brands and I’ve had a few requests for one! So stay tuned!
Thanks for sharing. I too have a back problem. Do you have a problem sitting in the seats at the crops and your back bothering you? Do you take a cushion and if so what kind? I'm going to a crop in May and trying to figure out what I should do so I'm not hurting so bad.
I wish I could help and I feel your pain. I’m sorry that you too have troubles. It’s so aweful. I don’t have any advice other than walking around here and there. Unfortunately I just took Advil all weekend. Oh but I also wore those back heat things and that helped. I believe I showed them in the video. But please let me know if you do find something that works better. And try to have fun! 🤞🙏❤️
Hi! Great video! Are your collection sleeves with pockets in the front "Totally Tiffany"? Or have you found a better brand? I've been wanting to get some of those and am interested in which brand you like best. Thank you!
I actually just made them myself. I cut white Cardstock to fit what I needed, used the We R Memory Keepers tag punch board and laminated them. Hope this helps! ❤️
Will you please do a layout share of the layouts you make at the crop? I love watching those
I love your organization and your pointer finger is the cutest.
I did one but there unfortunately isn’t much to see. I do also plan to start doing layout shares before I put them away!

Hope you had fun at the expo! And I kinda like the pointer too 😉

Can you link to this video?
@@bnrcastille If Heather does not mind me linking the video from Laura Alberts in this thread then I will be happy to try and find it for you.
@@JenniferPerryMyScraproom Apologies! I missed that it was someone else’s video.
Oh! I was looking for the CM tool tote idea you mentioned. 😃

Yay! So glad to hear you got a lot done! I hardly got anything done because I wasn’t as organized as I thought. But I had a great time!

@@heatherbalzer7753 it's an ongoing process of learning what works best for ourselves when going to day crops or retreats!
I know your going to have a great time! I will be watching for some fun pictures of you and your friends.
A little late commenting but hope you liked the pictures! 😉❤️
You are my soul sister/crafter.... oh dear! I hope you had fun with your crop!
Thank you! I had a lot of fun!

really helpful since i'll be going to a crop soon after quite a few years.
I’m glad I could help!! 😊❤️
Great video! I loved your pointer.🥰
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Heather, do you remember who makes that tree stencil? I have a lot of outdoor pictures to scrap too, It’s so cute!
I believe it is either an Echo Park stencil or a Carta Bella one. Let me know if you need more information.

Question- what kind of chair do you use at crops?

I think a couple might be her brand but I have been trying a few different ones and will have a video up shortly showing all about them!!
Heather what is the name of the plastic storages that you have your paper kits in and where did you get those from.
I have had quite a few questions about them so I’m working on a video showing my favorites! Stay tuned!!!
Kind of off subject, but can I ask where you got the white dividers you have between your stamp sets?
I actually just made them myself. I cut white Cardstock to fit what I needed, used the We R Memory Keepers tag punch board and laminated them. Hope this helps! ❤️
I like your content but you usually ramble on so much I skip most of the video or don't even click on them.
Thanks for the feedback
