    Aaron, you are so right. People have different values. Two years ago we put up a cattle panel hoop. We were so excited to be able to grow vertically in the area we chose. As we were putting it up, our next door neighbor came over screaming that we were terrible neighbors and why would we do such a thing. We were so shocked. She didn't speak to us for months. We have a really good neighborhood where everyone is generally friendly. I had no idea that this would offend her. She really can't see it from her house as a lilac bush hides it. She can see it when she pulls in and out of her driveway. She gradually got over it but it did take almost a half a year. At that time she had lost her mother and found out her sister was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. So it may not be what you are doing but what that person is going through that determines their outburst. I said to my husband, "she must be going through some rough times" and sure enough I found out later about her mom and sister.

    Yay for painting the house! 1:06 they scrape spots that may peel or flake after the new paint is on. Then they put primer on any raw wood and repair any spots getting painted. They clean the surface by sanding & dusting. Caulk cracks and spackle holes. After everything is prepped, then it’s finally time to paint. If they spray the paint, be careful of the wind and where you park your vehicles. They look and sound like they know what they’re doing 👍🏻👍🏻 I was impressed that they even took down the window boxes! Good job!

    I value privacy. I have planted around 200 trees on the perimeter of my property to block my view of my neighbors. (3 acres ) One of my neighbors ( who lives next door ) has large parties outside and they play music on speakers The music is loud enough that the guests seem to shout to be heard. We are never informed of an upcoming party. I personally feel
    That they are extremely inconsiderate. Fortunately, we can stay in our house and not hear them. BUT there have been times when I was working in my yard and felt forced to abandon my project and retreat to my house I appreciate how you think
    Of your neighbors. Thank you.

    • @LULC0759
      @LULC0759 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I don’t think that many people realize we moved to the country or on acreage to have privacy. We just moved to 2.2 acres and there is a row of seven of our homes out here and as we were building some of the neighbors got a little irritated that I wanted to plant some privacy. I like was good we came out here to get away from people.😂

    Colorado 6b here, my husband bought a little mint plant in the produce section at the store, he only needed a few leaves…anyway, he kept watering the little plant, it got all leggy and sad looking, we potted it in a galvanized bucket with other little herbs just for fun, it took over the entire bucket by the end of summer. We left it out over the winter. Yesterday while prepping for Spring, I moved the bucket and the mint had spread out over the bucket edge and rooted in the ground below. I pulled the runners up from under the snow and they were green and growing! We had a week of -10F and several snow storms here and that mint survived it all. We don’t;t even use mint! Not sure if I will keep it up of respect or have to pull the entire thing and give it away-far away - so it does not take over my yard!

They have a square flange at the base where you can hold it in place with bricks, soil, or mulch. For most people who feel guilty about killing bad bugs; it's because it's hard to watch something struggle for it's life. These people are usually very empathetic people who feel the struggle as though it is their own. If it helps think of it like your helping Mother Nature with her checks and balances because one fly has the potential to become 10,000 flies. Then imagine those 10,000 flies in the house surrounding your children. Or just think of flies like you do spiders lol 😂. Love your show, you all remind me of family.

    I bought my first lungwort last year and boy did I place it wrong. It grew sooooo big and crowded my azaleas. So I moved it and it died. I was very sad and disappointed but this spring there are little babies popping up in its first home. Feeling blessed.

    My guess about Cheddar spraying is because of the other critters you mentioned that are coming around. He's letting them know that this is HIS property. It's totally natural, but still gross.

    I have a pink -a-blue lugwort. When I purchased it last year it had already bloomed. This year it bloomed and I'm definitely in love with the plant. It is gorgeous! Also, I just got a new kitty for the first time in 40 years. Kept hearing your cats meow on the video and I swear I thought it was my cat. LOL

    Maybe think of choosing an area by the pond for planting some Venus flytraps, and other
    smaller bug eating plants that would thrive on the continuual
    moisture. Maybe using a moss covered log for the Venus'.
    Would look nice.
    My Grandmother always planted some every few years in the big lake pond, with water using Irises. SO BEAUTIFUL 😊

    The genus name of Helleborus comes from Greek “helein” for injures or destroys and “bora” for food, which is a reference to the plant's leaves, stems and root being toxic and poisonous to humans if ingested

    You could start buying the things you need for renovating the house like windows, fixtures, cabinets, sinks, etc., and store them away. You have a barn and things will only be getting more expensive. Buy your high ticket items as they go on sale or clearance and you will save a lot of money when renovation time comes.
