People wont learn and their code will be extremely weak and easy to exploit. I agree it’s a great tool, I use it for complex math in my games, but people really need to start learning the language as well.

@isightstrue good video but you can't really put ai to creative work, it just drains the human out of it and replaces it, I've seen many companies use ai instead lf cgi now, or even 2d animation.
I think AI can easily be used to learn Luau, and give simple scripts which you can then analyze yourself and learn and get inspired from. Too many people use it as a way out of actually thinking about what they are making. I'm sure I'd still be considered a beginner scripter, but I'm pretty confident with enough time I can still get something better than whatever slop a kid with AI can make, since AI isn't really good at fixing its own issues and forces the user to actually have knowledge of the script to be able to fix and change it.
Game Developer Students here, Depending too much on ai is not worth it , because i ask one of my freinds that depending alots on ai for his games for 1 years to write a lua script that basically if you touched a part then the part change the transparency for 1 second without using ai, and he write this local part = script.Parent local player = game.Players part.Touched:Connect(function(hit) if player then part.Transparency = 1 wait(1) part.Transparency= 0 end end 1 mistake is that he dosent use variable hit and that script is still working tho but 1 thing he make mistake is that, the if statement on that script is used for a variable that already exist which is yes, he use if statement on a variable is an service if im correct and also his game is pretty basic too even using ai, Sorry for bad english grammar
Like find a community of roblox devs that you can ask questions too, you're literally just using an A.I chatbot as a search engine, you'll get explained answers from people who actually have the capacity to understand what they're saying if you use an actual search engine.
People who are beginners at programming think AI is so good because they don’t have the experience and knowledge to understand how bad AI is. Ai is a generalist that can solve a common problem in minutes, that would have taken a complete beginner a day. I’m at the point where AI might solve something for me in 3 hours with many prompts, or I can just solve it myself in an hour or less for a real complex task.
personally I somewhat rely on ai *to learn* or as a tool. ai simply compiles information from the web and sometimes it can make mistakes (hell Roblox's own ai recommended me to use a fake service one day). what's best is to use a combination of documentations and ai when you're starting out and slowly moving to documentation only. (currently I barely use ai unless if it's a language im starting out in) (edit: I also double check if said code is correct or not through documentation)
No hate or anything but the thumbnail is somehwat clickbaity... blox fruits (game in thumbnail) doesnt use ai, not of the art is ai none of the code is ai and i know for certain none of the abilities in game are ai (you could argue they made an ai for the npcs but litteraly all games do that) . I havent played the game since december so maybe theres something going on in the game without me knowing but yeah good luck
It sucks to see what was once a highly respected and difficult thing (game development) be turned into yet another outlet for soul destroying slop. thanks roblox! thanks chatgpt!
Ai technically can’t help you with big stuff for example setting up core systems, such as kill streaks etc, it can’t do big things, simple things yes 🙌
AI cant replace any programming, AI usually lacks creativity. Even if the programmer isn't that good, AI cant replace what the programmer wants to make specifically, they can easily screw one thing up and ruin the entire project. Even if the code is made perfectly they cant match what the programmer had in mind (or get is as perfect) AI is used by experienced programmers to debug code, explain stuff and answer questions. not to replace the programmer. If that was the case then ai generated games would be easy to hack/exploit in, abuse bugs and more since AI focuses on the task, not perfecting it.
honestly ai isn't that bad, i learned luau completely from ai and devforum scripts just like you, and now i know it pretty good. for every beginner roblox creator: use ai wisely and don't create whole games with it, just test stuff.
funny thing is someone else made a skibidi toilet tower defense game because of toilet tower defense but it's far better, less cashgrabby, and isn't used wih ai (but then the game is not popular ofc because alll good games on roblox are not popular)
To be honest it feels better to code something that works by yourself without AI, with AI yeah i guese you got the code, but it doesn't feel as rewarding, plus if theres errors that are not caused by the code you wouldn't know how to fix it.
First, I don't think AI will replace scripters anytime soon because, for the most part, they just take in information from online and spit out a result that somewhaf matches what you wanted. However, as a scripter, I do, on occasion, use AI to fix small pieces of my code that I can't find the bugs in. So, I think that AIs main purpose will be in the following years, just helping developers fix the bugs in their code instead of making entire scripts from scratch. Edit: After watching, I fully agree that AI should just be used for assisting in coding. Also, I think if ChatGPT and things like it want to improve, they should update their information to stop using deprecated features.

I just had to ask how to make certain features for my roblox and it gave me detailed lua scripts and descritions of what they did. Hearing that you had to explain every bit of the studio makes me feel like i had it easy because it even told me where to put the scripts. No, i didnt make a game my laptop is broken. I was just doing it for fun bc i had a roblox game idea a couple of years ago. I wanted to see how the scripts for those functions would look. Then again this was not too long ago(like a week or so ago) so i guess it definitely had enough time to get that into its system.
8:30 this is so sad because chained together is actually a good fun game, but the AI thumbnail bro... 😭 the bills can't be this high y'all just hire an actual artist these AI thumbnails look horrible.
the paid version of chatgpt is like 10x stronger than the free version which might explain the errors youre receiving. r u using the free or paid version of chatgpt?
I use AI to help me fix and understand my scripting mistakes and either way currently most AI can’t even make a script to make a model run in a straight line most AI can’t do anything but helplessly make weak scripts for beginners that’s why i ONLY use it to understand my mistakes and it helps although in the future it will most likely be better and the model ai is easy to see if it’s AI or not but later it probably won’t be easy
AI is suppose to be an assistant tool not a replacement for scripting you still have to understand the basic of scripting in order to understand wat AI is giving you, I learn it the hard way
honestly there is nothing wrong with AI generated code, it still works well for the players and impossible to notice also you need a actual scripter to understand the AI code generation, i been a scripter for almost 5 years and around 2 years ago i started using AI chat GPT and im nearly 2X faster i still create all my code AI just helps me alot
ai is good if you need it to understand a lot more things about stuff and you don’t have the money to hire a developer to make the game or watch a 7 hour tutorial instead of reading and seeing the code that ai runs so ai is good for understanding how to code and to have more understanding of roblox studio just not for making full on games
I just started today with trying to make a tower defense game prototype so that I can understand scripting in Lua better, and yet I find myself asking the AI assistant simple questions such as: 'How do I get the inputs of a player?' and 'I keep getting errors when trying to edit camPos.X or camPos.Z'. Although the AI DOES give me quick, convenient answers so that I can try to write my own code using what the AI tells me, I'm split as to if this would be overusing AI to the point of it 'becoming a crutch', as another user (Vexmus) has put it. I don't want to just 'make a game with AI' (since that feels kinda cash-grabby and unauthentic), but I can't tell if asking for help a lot from AI would fall under the same category. (also, silly o'l me didn't even watch the last 2 minutes of the video. I'll keep pushing, and just kinda see where it goes.)
7:20 that’s not true, I started making a game and used AI for scripting since I have no idea, but I am working with a modeler and now we’re looking for a scripter because no matter how hard I try, some scripts aren’t possible to do only with AI, we need a scripter who understands it and can help us fix it and all.
wow.. so inspiring, but really, i have problems with making games too, programming is my passion and im good at it, but when i encounter a single unexpected error i give up. And i dont know why :(
If you encounter an error you can try fixing it. Whats the point if you dont try? And if you cant fix it, you can use AI (might not work) or look for devforum posts. AND if theres no devforum post, then create one yourself!! Dont give up. You got this. I believe in you!
Although ai gets better day by day doesn’t mean you should rely on it. Your game is pretty sloppy if ai made most of it ( considering u might publish it). Ai isn’t something you should use for coding whole games, if you want to make a game then learn how to make one by yourself, not copy most of it from ai. I’m not saying you can’t use outside sources like docs or the forum, and everyone should use ai ONLY for learning
OK. AI. IS. GOOD. IT HELPED TO SOLVE MEDICAL ISSUES. BUT THAT IS WHAT ITS FOR. ITS AN ASSISTANT, NOT A SLAVE. People should rly use ai how it was intended.
most modern programmers, and im not talking about roblox, use ai as a tool to help them code faster and solve problems in the same way every single programmer rips code from stackoverflow, adapt and get over it
Since Roblox’s Byfron sucks, I hope that roblox exploiting will make a resurgence so that people will actually learn to program again to combat exploiters. Either that or their game will go extinct, either is good.
dont worry because theres always a concept and theres always reality and for the game im making im just learning that. i have encountered tons of bugs, i have fixed them; i had to ditch the game and make a new one just to remove the bug, and i even had to scrap so many swords i had planned! but its ok at the end of it becuase now im almost done with my game and its coming on febuary 15th :)
i agree but not to the extent dont use ai in the game use it some stuff, you still need to match the variables after if you use ai making it from the ground up ai is bad and lazy he makes mistakes
-- Script to make a part bright local part = script.Parent -- Assuming the script is inside the part -- Set part material to Neon for a glowing effect part.Material = Enum.Material.Neon -- Set the part's color to something bright part.BrickColor = BrickColor.new("Bright yellow") -- You can change the color to any you want -- Optional: Set the part's emissive properties for a glowing effect part.SurfaceLight.Enabled = true part.SurfaceLight.Brightness = 10 -- Adjust brightness value to your liking

5:52 i haven't watched the full video but wdym by "unfortunately"? if ai can't do animations, then thats a good thing, animators are struggling enough
just in the context of using ai to help with things.
@isightstrue good video but you can't really put ai to creative work, it just drains the human out of it and replaces it, I've seen many companies use ai instead lf cgi now, or even 2d animation.
the alvinblox part is so relatable I remember watching the tutorials and the information just flying right over my head
This video inspired me to make a classic obby game.
Game Developer Students here, Depending too much on ai is not worth it , because i ask one of my freinds that depending alots on ai for his games for 1 years to write a lua script that basically if you touched a part then the part change the transparency for 1 second without using ai, and he write this
local part = script.Parent
local player = game.Players
part.Touched:Connect(function(hit)
if player then
part.Transparency = 1
wait(1)
part.Transparency= 0
end
end
1 mistake is that he dosent use variable hit and that script is still working tho but 1 thing he make mistake is that, the if statement on that script is used for a variable that already exist which is yes, he use if statement on a variable is an service if im correct and also his game is pretty basic too even using ai, Sorry for bad english grammar
All of the dialogue in Jujutsu Fruit is Ai generated some textures for items too. And the move descriptions.
Roblox has build in ai that can interfere with your roblox studio place its an beta option you can turn on for free called ai assistant.
You shouldve used the built in AI assistant for roblox studio, it literally does everything for you
this feels like rage bait :/
@@SupremeCalamitasReborn tbh youre right, bro was yapping the whole video
If i asked it to make a move it could?
@Toayoo idk, only thing I know is that it could create the scripts for you and put them in the right folders
i use it as a tool for answering questions, or for fixing an error and explaining the changes, then manually writing the difference once i understand
this thumbnails fire
what if instead of chizeled it was rizzeled
ur the KreekCraft clips guy
AHHHH I'M ON FIRE!!!!!!
*Balls*
8 hours ago is crazy
No hate or anything but the thumbnail is somehwat clickbaity... blox fruits (game in thumbnail) doesnt use ai, not of the art is ai none of the code is ai and i know for certain none of the abilities in game are ai (you could argue they made an ai for the npcs but litteraly all games do that) . I havent played the game since december so maybe theres something going on in the game without me knowing but yeah good luck
The thumbnail is just to spread awareness to the Roblox community.
There is nothing ai generated rn, don't worry dawg.
I mean blox fruit is a slop too so..
@@GrassToucher54 it really only became slop around 2023 before the game was really good
@@Wephymundo real
It sucks to see what was once a highly respected and difficult thing (game development) be turned into yet another outlet for soul destroying slop. thanks roblox! thanks chatgpt!
Ai technically can’t help you with big stuff for example setting up core systems, such as kill streaks etc, it can’t do big things, simple things yes 🙌
Whats the name of the game you're playing in the bg?
backrooms drift, microwave dinner
AI cant replace any programming, AI usually lacks creativity. Even if the programmer isn't that good, AI cant replace what the programmer wants to make specifically, they can easily screw one thing up and ruin the entire project. Even if the code is made perfectly they cant match what the programmer had in mind (or get is as perfect) AI is used by experienced programmers to debug code, explain stuff and answer questions. not to replace the programmer. If that was the case then ai generated games would be easy to hack/exploit in, abuse bugs and more since AI focuses on the task, not perfecting it.
honestly ai isn't that bad, i learned luau completely from ai and devforum scripts just like you, and now i know it pretty good.
for every beginner roblox creator: use ai wisely and don't create whole games with it, just test stuff.
did you use documentation as well? ai can get some things wrong.
As an full stack dev, I can understand you XD
And yes AI is highly overrated
use the web option, it gets coding IQ from the roblox studio pages and other stuff
funny thing is someone else made a skibidi toilet tower defense game because of toilet tower defense but it's far better, less cashgrabby, and isn't used wih ai
(but then the game is not popular ofc because alll good games on roblox are not popular)
Roblox Studio has their own ai assistant
I'm drawing all of my art for my game, and yes I'm having ai help with some scripts, however I'm also reading the dev forum which honestly helps more
To be honest it feels better to code something that works by yourself without AI, with AI yeah i guese you got the code, but it doesn't feel as rewarding, plus if theres errors that are not caused by the code you wouldn't know how to fix it.
Also fun fact most of the badass experience tycoons take place in the same universe
W music! We like a lot of the same things!
-Conversation Piece - The Amazing Digital Circus (Gooseworx)
-Garlem Romp - ONE (Cheesy Hfj)
-Menu Select Theme - One of he Zelda games
-More ONE Music
-Field of Hopes and Dreams - Deltarune - (Toby Fox)
-Blocky's Tortueture Machine 🧊💥🔁
Etc..
For the last time, Chatgpt is not the only thing around here, there are alternatives of Models out there
Man i clicked for the blox fruits thumbnail and stayed for the dev speech
Ai is great in general concept the reason why many hate Ai is cuz humans are using them for bad reasons
ai should be used to ASSIST you in making games.
Addicted to simulator games? I sorry to hear you are suffering from something like that and I hope you get better someday
Hey isight , SpongeBob pro from last vid, nice vid. Keep going and you will win the algorithm. 9.7/10
Omg hiii that devlog was me! Your game looks great so far, love the gacha system 🫶
enjoyed the devlog btw :)
Friendliness
No wonder why u have 800 subscribers in 2 months it’s because u told them u were the one that helped.
AI is suppose to be an assistant tool not a replacement for scripting
you still have to understand the basic of scripting in order to understand wat AI is giving you, I learn it the hard way
"March 2007 - Before I was born...."
Good lord. In 2007, I'd already been married for three years....
honestly there is nothing wrong with AI generated code, it still works well for the players and impossible to notice also you need a actual scripter to understand the AI code generation, i been a scripter for almost 5 years and around 2 years ago i started using AI chat GPT and im nearly 2X faster i still create all my code AI just helps me alot
very sheye&j[ thank yi7stsets mwjamamamamama friedndi bendonrrne HAAAA
👍
ai is good if you need it to understand a lot more things about stuff and you don’t have the money to hire a developer to make the game or watch a 7 hour tutorial instead of reading and seeing the code that ai runs so ai is good for understanding how to code and to have more understanding of roblox studio just not for making full on games
Fun fact: I’m actually a tester for badass experiences
(not that i really test much though)
7:20 that’s not true, I started making a game and used AI for scripting since I have no idea, but I am working with a modeler and now we’re looking for a scripter because no matter how hard I try, some scripts aren’t possible to do only with AI, we need a scripter who understands it and can help us fix it and all.
Dont worry about it, people tend to play real good games instead of fillers....right?
one problem, babies.
I learned coding from books courses and tutorials. Never knew ai could make code till now lol.
A non osc youtuber in the osc? New subscriber. Also good video lol
Print money to pay ur 1 trillion dollar dept is insane
I remember playing those badass style games, ngl
wow.. so inspiring, but really, i have problems with making games too, programming is my passion and im good at it, but when i encounter a single unexpected error i give up. And i dont know why :(
If you encounter an error you can try fixing it. Whats the point if you dont try? And if you cant fix it, you can use AI (might not work) or look for devforum posts. AND if theres no devforum post, then create one yourself!! Dont give up. You got this. I believe in you!
@wasnexhere ty man appriciate it :)
1:15 IS THAT AN HFJONE SOUNDTRACK IN THE BACKGROUND???? THIS SOUNDTRACK FROM HFJONE IS MY FAVORITE
People should rly use ai how it was intended.
i joined in 2017, too
i got hooked on fps games in 2019 or 2020 and never looked back. pvp or fps is my bread.
most modern programmers, and im not talking about roblox, use ai as a tool to help them code faster and solve problems in the same way every single programmer rips code from stackoverflow, adapt and get over it
Dead internet theory...
Since Roblox’s Byfron sucks, I hope that roblox exploiting will make a resurgence so that people will actually learn to program again to combat exploiters. Either that or their game will go extinct, either is good.
i only use it because i’m genuinely incapable of learning new things💔
"god just dropped another update that will change the world" got me LOL
If I ever see a game with an AI thumbnail I just assume it’s some slop simulator clicker game
Dang bro i am about to make an simulator game with ai tysm for your help lol
It's so real to say that you get burned out from videos
he is back in studio!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
AI didn't exist until 2020? Really now? Are we forgetting Evie Cleverbot, or early 2019 models like Inferkit, Talk to Transformer and AI Dungeon?
i was 12
Mandatory “erm actually” 🤓 comment
Its not a good idea to use it for everything tho but i think for new coders it could teach them abit but i just hope they dont use it forever
9:50 he grooving
Really good video by the way!
I would NEVER use ai to make my game. Actually, I would never use AI!
dont worry because theres always a concept and theres always reality and for the game im making im just learning that. i have encountered tons of bugs, i have fixed them; i had to ditch the game and make a new one just to remove the bug, and i even had to scrap so many swords i had planned! but its ok at the end of it becuase now im almost done with my game and its coming on febuary 15th :)
i agree but not to the extent dont use ai in the game use it some stuff, you still need to match the variables after if you use ai making it from the ground up ai is bad and lazy he makes mistakes
-- Script to make a part bright
local part = script.Parent -- Assuming the script is inside the part
-- Set part material to Neon for a glowing effect
part.Material = Enum.Material.Neon
-- Set the part's color to something bright
part.BrickColor = BrickColor.new("Bright yellow") -- You can change the color to any you want
-- Optional: Set the part's emissive properties for a glowing effect
part.SurfaceLight.Enabled = true
part.SurfaceLight.Brightness = 10 -- Adjust brightness value to your liking
clearly ai generated
people already judge me for using ai and trying to research on youtube for tutorials and read docuents like i have no choice
yooooo is that backrooms drift???
When im going to get a computer im just going to make a free model game or a showcase game(im actually very good at building with btools)
the first ai was made in 1956
HOLY SMITHEREENS! IS THAT HFJONE MUSIC?!?!?!
Remember , all the good looking maps are not made by ai
this video is such a underrated one too
