  • Ramakrishna was the Guru of Swami Vivekananda who traveled America and Europe spreading the truth of all Religions and exposing the West to Hinduism in all its forms. Ramakrishna often comes up in Nisargadatta Maharaj's talks. Ramakrishna spoke often of the "I" or sense of "I" that is so prevalent in Maharaj's talks and in Ramana Maharshi's "Self Inquiry". This is the original Gospel of Ramakrishna by Swami Abhedananda published in 1907. There is a later version published in 1942.

      Thomas was the only who questioned and used his intelligence. The rest of the disciples were very mediocre people, cowards (Peter), idiots.
      Additionally, the New Testament stories are very incomplete or false at best. The picture of Jesus as painted by the Church and organized Christianity is utterly false. It is a total distortion and perversion of who Jesus must have been.

    It is an inherent caracteristic of the ego to divide and separate, it is quite obvious in this text. I am listening it, paused at 27th min and it is really hard to listen to this constant "oh he was so perfect, so divine, so magnificent, perfect in every way, so unsullied, untouchable by sin, etc etc". This constant "raising to an unreachable pedestal" is in the root against the idea of the ABSOLUTE INCLUSION of God and His Creation. "Oh Ramakrishna was so perfect in every way were you will certainly fail miserably every time and dont even try it" kind of way. While all the awoken ones professed the utmost unity of Being, the text that talk about them try its hardest to raise the teachers so high up that you have not a chance of ever reaching nowhere near. Perfect oneness excludes no one. The all inclusive is One.
    Don take this rant as an attack on Ramakrishna, it is the way of narrating it so out of place with the core idea that is the perfect union of the Creation of God.

      Sri Ramakrishna is indeed a special case. In his Advaita sadhana ,with just the preliminary instructions of his Guru Totapuri, Ramakrishna went into Nirvikalpa Samadhi instantly and sat like that for three days. He was not a normal sadhaka, he was incarnation of God. It is your ego which is keeping you from accepting Sri Ramakrishna as he is.

    This four types of soul thing is I think a miss representation of the four souls. Through my realization my experience tells me they all four are equal. You can’t change your soul but they are all capable of god conciseness. I think what happened here is like a brilliant man not seeing the simple truth or like how can a super smart person understand an idiot. Just the philosophers like to think they are the best but actually he admits several times before this it is all equal so yeah it’s a hole gurus fall into. Damn I wish I could meet this man.

    I don't get it. Why pray or "Bhakti" when Brahman is me. Why pray to Jesus, Allah, Vishnu etc? Brahman lives in the substratum or foundation and manifests in the form of humans. The unmanifested form of Brahman can be experienced with self-enquiry. Then why waste time and energy praying to someone who is yourself in the unmanifest form?

I and you in manifested form are identifying with our egos and are not the same person. Again, if you are able to challenge non-duality then do. We are born with a 3d form with the space - time environment, so from birth we are directed to a dualistic nature....so its neccesary to worship in form and together long for self realization until you experience your true self....but instead if you directly the self, it can create false ego like only you are true and that will look selfish, but when you truly experience self the worship of form will automatically vanish and you will see everything as one without a second one

    • @RonJagannathanVA
      @RonJagannathanVA 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Akash11898 Interesting analysis. But I am positive - Just like a 3d form with space-time is created for the dualistic me. This false entity also creates an external god. Just like the ego which creates other forms along with body, mind, god etc. Years ago...actually almost 25 years ago - I spent 2 years in Western Siberia where dissolving god completely along with the ego was the real reason to experience Brahman. I am quite positive now that this is the case.
      That's why I am puzzled by many including Ramana Maharishi when he says absolute devotion can also get you to see the real self. This to me is a paradox, and just wrong. But who am I to question the great Ramana Maharishi.

    • @RonJagannathanVA
      @RonJagannathanVA 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      By the way....I am quite sure in Siberia 25 years ago, I discovered another path. The QM or Quantum Mechanical path to Brahman...this is done by convincing yourself experimentally that the world is an illusion via theory and practice using the double-slit experiment and quantum entanglement..etc..If you are absolutely convinced by experimental results...you can't believe in dualism or that the world is not an illusion. this is the "other" path. Reaching Brahman is also direct with very little practice of self-enquiry. So I am curious if other Quantum Physicists ever experienced Brahman this way. I might finish my book describing this method quite soon.

    It is time to stop worshiping any figures outside of us and find god in ourselves, recognise our true nature; that's what all the saints teach. They never wanted people to be at their feet but man makes religions to feel secure; others use religion and fear to control masses. Religions only divide and take us away from our inner truth. The One lives equally in everything that is and It has no name.

    • @nc01sadh
      @nc01sadh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Jean Francois... What did you really learn? Divinity is each and every thing. It is perfectly alright to worship a tree, a river, a stone or what have you. God can be found in the inanimate and the animate. He is with form and without form.
      So, you can have any form as a tool of worship. Because self realization cannot happen without loss of " I", the ego consciousness. You can choose the path of worship/ devotion to god to transmute " I" as a servant of the universal absolute aka "god".

    • @luxinvictus9018
      @luxinvictus9018 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's because she was only 5 when he was married to her, and he was already 23.
      By the time she turned 18 and came to live with him, he was already 36 and had adopted monkhood.
      There's nothing wrong with sex. Many yogis of the same tradition, like Sri Yukteshwar Giri and Lahiri Mahasya has families. It all depends in one's chosen path, and Ramakrishna chose that of celibacy.
      Also, it makes 'sense' when you realise this was 19th century India, and ramakrishna never took a wife himself. Rather, his parents decided to get him married because they wanted him to eventually start a family. Women at the time had short life expectancies, so it was common to get them betrothed at a young age. But they still did not go and live with their husband till they were adults, and in thia case ramakrishna was simply too far down his spiritual path.

    Idk... Bhagavan Ramana didn’t seem too impressed with Krishna followers 🤷🏻‍♂️
    Papaji tossed Krishna to the side, himself, after Bhagavan told him “a God who appears and disappears, is no real God...”
    So, perhaps a path to set one going... but not a path to get one THERE. To the goal. So... what’s the point? Toss Krishna aside NOW, and START with Bhagavan. This seems wiser.
    Can anyone show me a single saint, enlightened one or yogi, who started with Bhagavan and then left and reached the goal through Krishna? None.
    Yet the opposite seems to be the case with those who set aside the worship of forms, in favor of self inquiry. So?
    So, I’m not even going to hit “play”. Lol

      Correction accepted. The ego... what a wretched beast to tame.
      Complexity of details becomes... simple.
      The dying ego would say... “I regret my blindness. I regret my speech and behavior while stumbling blind...”
      The self... 😆... the Self... isn’t sorry at all. Isn’t smug or conceited in the lack of feeling sorry. No... it is simply... only peace that exists. Peace is life is contentment is joy is tranquility is Self is eternal... eternally is.
      And so?
      And so nothing 😇🙏🏻
      Love...
      Peace...
      Joy...
      We are we give we see we cannot see cannot be seen... we are I am... always... never created... never destroyed... only forgotten or ignored.
      Only slept through...
      only blinded from.
      But not so greatly in this moment 😇
      In this moment...
      Awareness is aware...
      Of ego.
      Awareness sees the thoughts, the ego, sees the feelings, sees the false sensation, the sensation individuality, the sensation of “I am ego, I am body, I am this thought.”
      Awareness sees these lies, this confusion becomes clarity... as the mind is ignored. Is funneled, is silenced.
      What is left?
      God.
      Self.
      Awareness.
      Consciousness.
      The state is true.
      The state is not a state, cannot be known with words, only existed as. And so...
      with endless thoughts and words, the mind drowns out the Self... only to be tossed aside, ignored. Shunned. We love it no longer. We hate it no longer. For we do not address it from the POV of the ego itself... but from the silent place at Gods feet... within.
      There we need nothing. For we have all, already. We exist...
      We are aware.

      I accept that you are upset. I accept that you have tried to make sense of the ignorance of my statement... by displaying ignorance of your own. There is no animosity.
      😇🙏🏻❤️
      If you ask after the story of my egos conditioning, I say, “Only an ego would ask that.”
      Yet I shall humor it still... to dispel ignorance and share the love I exist in, now, even this moment 😇🙏🏻❤️
      The ego and body were raised and conditioned in the USA, as staunch, highly devoted, genuine Christians. Not what you see on tv lol
      And so, Christ is a most effective guru when understood... and indeed, much ignorance was dispelled in me, and various shiny
      , powerful “religious” experiences were had. The power and self of God met... felt... known... only to slowly vanish when the mind rose again from prayer and worship and devotion.
      In fighting in the church, disillusionment... cynical ego and pain body flare and grow as they are fed, and misery and suffering grow and grow... for 2 decades. Until... the damm breaks, and waking, realizing self and God... begins to occur in stages and steps... each time, less of the ego, less of the mind survive the encounter. WHAT JOY!!!
      And so... we accept.
