the giant letters spelling GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS behind Joaquin should have been your first hint that it wasnt promo for a movie, and yes at that point that question was redundant to the point of absurdity and he had every right to call out a crappy interview question he had already answered a million times

The Joaquin Phoenix one was after the Golden Globes in 2020. I wouldn't be surprise if he was drunk. Also this was after his win for Joker. At this point Joker had been in the The Venice Film Festival, and the Toronto Film Festival. It had been in theaters since early October. I was working at a Regal Cinemas when this movie came out. I remember the added security surrounding this film due to the popularity in the incel community. Also, Joaquin Phoenix had already previously walked out of an interview where a reporter ask if this movie would cause more shootings. Seem like Mr. Phoenix has no tolerance for stupid questions.
The trans person who was asked about her private parts - I'm of two minds about that. As this video so clearly shows, you don't have to be trans to have hugely personal questions lobbed at you, so it really IS part of the game, like it or not. And, if you're enhancing your career by letting it be known that you're trans, people are even more curious.
OTOH, I don't want to be asked questions about my private parts, but my life is entirely private, except for the thousands of words of family and personal stories I've shared around the Interwebs. :)

Mila is Russian, well 1st generation American Russian, my wife is 2nd generation Italian American and speaks fluent Italian. Hell I thought her grandmother and mom didn't speak English for 2 years til I learned they only spoke Italian when I was around. 🤣

Many celebrities already know what these galas, award ceremonies, etc. are all about. Literally nothing. For all intent & purpose, it means very little in the long run.
There are some interviewers who ask questions that are way out of line or outright misogynistic. I think they do it to boost their ratings if it’s a TV interview or readership if it’s print or online. The more outrageous the question the more people they attract.
You do not have to promote a movie at a rewards press conference.
Phoniex is also a method actor, some he sometimes acts in public like someone he will be portraying in the future. That said he's pretty well known as a douche. Super big ego and full of himself. He's been on talk shows and and got annoyed the audience didn't clap enough for him. Or he tells the host "I tried watching this show but I fell asleep through it!"

Hi Kabir! Some of the interviewers were asking stupid or inappropriate questions and deserved to be slapped down. Does one normally inquire about another person's genitalia? How about asking if someone would rather be a fish or God? If anyone said fish, I would question their sanity, but then again, maybe they don't want the responsibility. If the question had been "goat" instead of "God", I guess it would depend on what kind of fish. It might be cool to be a great white shark, but being a minnow would suck imo.

I get tired of celebrities wanting all the fame and money and attention that comes with being a celebrity (because they put themselves in that position) but then they expect not to be bothered by certain things that are personal to them or whatever. you either put yourself out there or you don't. Um.... If you don't want to be bothered then don't put yourself out there and if you want all the money and fame and attention then answer their questions and then be done with it.
That one with Anne Hathaway sounds like the whole thing was staged because it created more hype for the movie and she used it to tie in/plug the movie in the interview. Just my thoughts, either way, it's very shameful for anyone to post those kind of pics of someone.

Boy, I wish Joan Rivers was still alive. I know she would’ve been very old because she was pretty old when she died. She was smart and funny. She had to put up with a lot more nonsense as a woman in comedy. She paved away for the female comedians of today
