I loved your vinted experiences, I don't have a printer at home and I found vinted staff to be incompetent as I needed a QR code so I could print the label at my local parcel shop, but someone called Abdul message me and said they can't help with it, there is millions of people who don't have a printer at home and on hermes now (Evri) they print at the parcelshop with a QR code given by Evri but on vinted you don't have the choice, I told the staff at vinted is there one competent person who works there that can organise that sellers and buyers should have the choice of printing at home or the parcel shop. In stead of sending ridiculous emails stating you can't help. Anna
Thank you. I think it’s very much pot luck on who you get to speak to at Vinted. I’ve had one that was awful and one that was really good. They do need to sort the whole printer thing out though. My husband started using it recently and a couple of people chose Yodel as the delivery company and he just got emailed a barcode to show shop staff, so didn’t need a printer. Mind you, our nearest drop off point for Yodel was 6 or 7 miles away 😳
@@karonwostenholme6533 for most of the postage methods I think you need a printer as there are barcodes and QR codes that need to be printed, but I believe for yodel you don’t need one. You may want to check that first though.
Thank you for this really helpful video. Like you, I love the sustainability side of Vinted. I am going to have a go at selling after hearing your experience and tips.
Ahhhh thank you. Do let me know how you get on. I’ve even got my husband using it now and he sold a pair of barely worn Nike trainers within minutes of putting them up for sale. Good luck with it x
Very helpful video - just joined Vinted and successful sold a wedding hat and matching bag successfully with the money clearing today. However, I accepted an offer last Saturday and have not heard another thing. I will persevere with it though as so much easier than eBay to sell. Good luck with your channel.
Thanks Penny. Glad you are enjoying Vinted 😊 sometimes even though you accept an offer, people change their mind and not tell you. I just message them to find out if they still want it or not. Good luck with it x
I’d agree. You can get some lovely items on here, but I do think it is a better platform for lower end items. And yes, some people contact you with an alternative price that can sometimes be quite low, but I just decline them. I usually find though that they offer about a third less than the advertised price.
I buy and sell on Vinted, couple of occasions where buyers have bought items, claimed a fault (ie a hole in seam that wasn't there when shipped) and bullied me for a refund but refused to send back as its a low cost item versus the postage, I find it super stressful when that happens but otherwise good.
@Allashuwa Beatz It’s a difficult situation. If you’re confident that there was not an issue with the item before you sent it, then stand your ground and advise that unless the item is returned to you then no refund will be given. Vinted state that the cost of returning the item is with the buyer so I would say that Vinted would back the seller on that case.
@Allashuwa Beatz Hi Hun! I’m also looking to start selling on Vinted very soon ( was looking for advice tutorials & saw yr post re: bullying/false reports etc from clients. I'm a photographer too so, what I will do is to always take GOOD detailed photos of my intended items to sell AND also a photo of my parcel with label etc at the drop of place ( post office/Hermes shop etc) to proove it was sent too! ( protection against those saying didnt recieve it etc}? … Hope this was helpful x
thank you for the useful video Im really new and I would like to know the coverage of countries eg when I sell from vinted belgium the items are shown to UK? also can I use the same account for selling from two different countries? perhaps you could address these issues in new video
I've just started so this is so helpful!, but when I look at my page as a customer there isn't a buy it now button? I have set delivery to custom royal mail as I'm quite remote where I am so drop off is extremely hard.
Thank you. I’m glad it’s helped you. Have you added your payment details to your account yet? That’s the only thing that I can think of that would stop you from seeing the Buy Now button x
just wondering if scamming is quite frequent on vinted? bought three products the other day, two of them seem to be trustworthy with many 5 star ratings however one hasnt ever sold a product yet and doesnt seem too talkative so it just makes me nervous. what do i do if i get scammed?
If you think you’ve been scammed and the item doesn’t arrive, then you can contact Vinted and they will advise on what you can do. They are able to cancel the order and refund you. The seller has 5 days to send it after which time it’ll be automatically cancelled if they’ve not reported it as being sent. Some people just aren’t very talkative. If it helps, I’ve never been scammed on Vinted x
Listed 6 items the other day and plenty of favourite messages but no sales yet. However a message came through saying my postage was set at £00 tbh am a little lost now 😳
Could it be that you haven’t set the parcel size? Mind you, it shouldn’t normally let you upload an item without selecting the parcel size. Might be worth contacting Vinted for help x
I think there are some postal methods that give an option to not use a printer. Might be worth setting up an account and using their chat facility to ask x
Can I ask when u purchase few items like I have on majority it says waiting for seller to send item then below the tracking information however on 2 of them it says waiting for seller to send but no tracking number yet there is on another buyer’s that’s not sent it yet is that ok and normal would really appreciate ur input thank you as new to it
I think it depends on how it’s being delivered, ie yodel or Royal Mail or Evri. I’d say if it gives a tracking number it’s been sent. Hope that helps x
Great video I love vinted i am English speaking, live in Spain and vinted automatically translates enabling you to buy and sell throughout Europe. I love the security of buyer pick up points. I have only had great experiences both buying and selling. I have just tried to sell a book but the app won't accept the ISBN number. Any advise greatly appreciated.
I believe so yes. Once it is in your possession and you’ve said it’s ok, it’s then your responsibility. It’s not like a shop where you can return it if something happens to it. When I’ve had an issue with something I’ve bought from Vinted in the past, Vinted weren’t good at helping me resolve it. It’s between you and the seller.

to get around it you can buy items from the same seller but message them beforehand to see if they will do a discount on what you’ve bought them. That’ll then help to reduce the overall cost. Or you can make an offer on the item instead of paying full price.
Hi. When you click on ‘buy now’ it tells you all the fees before you confirm the purchase. If you don’t like what you see then you can just exit the screen 😊
I don’t recommend it as a buyer. They make you pay a “Buyer Protection Fee” that is non existent. All of their replies are automatic - no customer care. Please be aware.
It’s definitely something to be aware of but I have had responses from actual people there before. One was really helpful and resolved my issue quickly. The other wasn’t so great. It’s a bit hit and miss on their customer service but the buyer protection fee is how they make their money.
It's a licence for scammer to sell rubbish. There is no comeback on the sellers. They can keep selling the same old junk over and over until some poor sop doesn't report the fault because you only get 2 days....
Following, in my experience anyway, is about choosing to keep track of your favourite sellers. If you have a seller whom you’ve bought from before, or whose wardrobe you really rate and find inspiring, then follow them. I believe you will be able to see more of their items for sale on your dashboard / Home Screen when you log into Vinted x
