    Two updates!
    1) Swaps are now being removed from Vinted (talked about 06:30-07:00) so may make the upload process a bit faster!
    2) Shipping labels can now be viewed within the app, particularly useful for print in store labels!

      @rebstriesit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're welcome and congrats on selling your first item! 🎉
      Once the buyer confirms delivery is all okay the money comes through instantly to your Vinted balance 🙂
      You can leave the balance there or you can "Withdraw" to your bank account - this can take 3-5 days (for me it's usually within a day) 🙂

      @@rebstriesit … what happens if the buyer does not confirm? x

    • @rebstriesit
      @rebstriesit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If they do not confirm, within 3 days of them receiving the parcel it will be marked as them automatically confirming (money is released and you get a 5* review 🙂)
      The only instance where you may not get the money is if a dispute is created by the buyer (for example, if an item was inaccurately described or hasn't arrived)

    Hey Rebs, thanks for the video - great content. Was wondering, how many items do you list a day?

    • @rebstriesit
      @rebstriesit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re welcome! I don’t list every day I must admit! When I did a large clear out I then list gradually, probably 2-3 items a day until they’re all listed… but it does really depend!
      If you’re getting started I would recommend listing a few at once (around 10) so when people click on your profile it’s not empty, but then just upload as works with your schedule :)

    hi, great video - plan to set up a vinted account the weekend so will use your referral link. i dont have a printer atm , should i therefore select *custom postage* ? many thanks :)

    • @rebstriesit
      @rebstriesit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re welcome! Glad it was helpful and hopefully uploading goes well and you sell some items!!
      If you don’t have a printer turn all other options off in settings and then input custom postage on each item (you can then send with whomever you like and use their print in store facilities (e.g. Hermes/Evri) or take to the post office). I wouldn’t recommend turning on Royal Mail as Vinted don’t always calculate this correctly.
      You won’t be able to turn off UPS as an option but it’s totally acceptable to write in the item description “NO UPS POSTAGE”. A number of successful sellers do this with no issues (and from my own experience with now over 200 sales I have yet to have someone want to use UPS!)
      Hope that helps!

    • @AfroCitrus
      @AfroCitrus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Harry, I would recommend using Royal Mail's online service only if you don't have a printer. They can collect the next day as long as you order and pay by 11:59pm or you can choose any day within 5 working days. They will collect unlimited parcels from you (or even from a safe place but only 1 parcel per day in this case) and they have an amazing service called "Bring My Label". This means that your label will be printed for your postman/woman to bring to you. When they come to collect, they scan the label(s), that sends an automatic proof of postage email to you, they hand you the label and you have to stick it on your parcel (doesn't apply to safe place collections). You can screenshot the email, cross out your personal details and send it to your buyers as a postage receipt.
      I've been using this service for 3 days and it is honestly just so much easier and simpler. I appreciate not having the time cost of having to walk back and forth to an Evri parcel shop too. Just make sure you turn off all other postage options (apart from UPS which can't be turned off) so they can't compare the Royal Mail price with Evri or Yodel which is always cheaper. I've been selling with only Royal Mail for 5 days and my items have been moving quickly so don't be deterred
      Always bear in mind that although there are people out there who want cheaper shipping, there are also people out there who are willing to pay a bit extra for a more reliable and trustworthy service with Royal Mail.

    • @rebstriesit
      @rebstriesit  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great advice thanks for sharing! I'll also add that Evri now have a print in store option as well as Yodel directly within the app and just have a barcode to scan

    Hi :) from Loughborough, would you recommend selling electronics on vinted? ✌🏽

    • @rebstriesit
      @rebstriesit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello 👋🏻! I've not personally sold electronics on vinted - generally if there isn't an explicit category for the type of electronic (e.g. video console has an explicit category but projector doesn't) then I would look to sell it on another site to ensure it can easily be found by buyers...
      Generally for most of my electronics I sell them on eBay with an auction option (for 10 days from a Thursday so it ends on a Sunday) and a buy it now option for 1.5x the price I would be happy for it to go for at auction. This garuntees a quick sale and I've found it easy although you do need to account for fees. If the item is larger and difficult to package I go for Gumtree/Facebook marketplace (which you can also use instead of eBay if active in your area!)
      I'll definitely have to try selling some electronics on Vinted when I next have some in a clear out!

    Hi Rebs iv really been struggling to sell anything more than £1 which is really putting me off using vinted

    • @rebstriesit
      @rebstriesit  ปีที่แล้ว

      Certain categories do struggle to sell for a good price quickly. What are you listing/selling?
      I find a lot of me is leaving the item listed and in due course people find it and want it. Certain brands (e.g. crew clothing, mint velvet, jigsaw) sell for good prices. I've found a few high street brands are often less (e.g. H&M, Primark, Next) probably because there is a lot listed!
      I've also found trousers more difficult to sell in general than tops/dresses so it could also be types of items?
      It may also be buyers are low balling you - I've often found if I don't accept an offer they were willing to pay original price or someone else will purchase it!
      I've heard depop is good for items that are in fashion and vintage items so it could be worth giving a go? :)

    • @rebstriesit

      I find people often follow me after purchasing something so they get alerts for new items - you don't need followers to sell items

    Why did'nt you discuss all labeling options? Isn't this the reason for making this video? Most dont' have a printer. You really need to practice Inpost then explain it to your audience.

    • @rebstriesit
      @rebstriesit  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I didn't go into detail on everything - I have used inpost before and it has worked well as you just need to scan a barcode. However, I prefer not to use it as it is further away and there aren't always lockers available / large enough lockers if a large parcel. It does work well if you don't have a printer though!
      Yodel also doesn't require a printer as you can just get the barcode scanned in store and I find Yodel better than inpost.
      Hopefully that is helpful!
