Really appreciate the kind words and advice (especially on how to keep my body pain free!), I hope to be doing this till I cant anymore. If you want to check out the new range and support the mission we're on... www.b2badventures.com.au/ Big Love. Stay safe out there. Az
Az, have you ever brought GHEE along with you? If you or others don't know, it's butter that's been cooked down to remove the water, making it a type of clarified butter & can be heated at a much higher temperature, it's delicious & doesn't need to be refrigerated, making it great for your trips. Great great for cooking potatoes, fish, rice, lobster, eggs or whatever you'd add butter to. Another good episode, thanks for sharing! 😊
I am 75 and spent over a year over 6 times exploring Australia as a backpacker in the period 2003 -2008. Well worth the investment!. Castaway, book by Lucy Irwin from thr 1980ies, was my favourite escape for many years. Watched the film on Youyube later. Forever an escapist!!!!
The happiest I have ever been wqs when I was living off the land. It's a great feeling of accomplishment, and everyday there is something to do, so u r never bored. This summer, I can't wait. Getting the boat ready and will be on te water for 2 weeks to a month. Bringing MREs on the days I can't catch my food for the day, fresh water, clothes and a tablet with preloaded movies and shows and that it. Great vibes. Love the channel, I subbed
I’m 35 and my back has been bothering me for the past 2 weeks. So I’m very thankful for the advice, I will start doing those immediately. Especially the glute stretches. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out the correct way to stretch them until I saw you do it. They are extremely tight so that’s gonna help a lot. Thanks brother 🤙🏼
Thanks for the tips on back and body health. Have fished the NT, seakayaked lots of Australia, sailed, hiked and camped. Now in my early 60s, I started to notice a little twinge or two in the back and all sorts of crankyness in the body, especially in the morning. I don't plan on giving up my passion just yet, have a few trips in mind along the Kimberley coast and out to a couple of QLD offshore islands (in a power boat). I already have a few exercises for the old bod, but yours look great, especially the dead hang and neck stretches. Love your channels az always.
As a 50 year old, I have suffered with a lower back problem for years - I would have episodes where I and my physio at the time believed that a disc was pressed against the sciatic nerve/slipped disc. It is only in the past couple of years that I have gotten on top of it through a sports physio. Transpires it was not a bulging disc, just glute muscles tensing up and spasming - quite often after spending time on the water or in the garden. Rolling out on a tennis ball (glutes and hip area) has been a god send - really painful if done right but followed by instant relief, a total game changer. Anyone over the age of 40 is likely to show bulging discs on a scan but that does not mean they are the cause of the pain. More often than not it will be muscles spasms. I also hang - good for all joints.
I absolutely love your videos, the random knowledge you & Strick pass on is great! Topics on the sea and marine life all the way to stretches and different types of rope knots 😅
Heather Ross-White here, last comment ( @ChowdaHead )..get over yourself mate , I'm 75 and this guy Az is one of the best . Self sufficiently, homestead , me too , have lived off roadkill, foraged produce and a small farm ...what Az does for nature conservation and con̈ecting with Papua New Guineans is excellent . Great to see young 'uns , meeting up spreading the word ..on a par with Les, Bushtucker man, and Les Stroud
I busted a spinal disc when i was 30. For several years my only relief was hanging buy my arms from the pergola rafters daily. It works. Over 10 years of this my back somehow slowly healed and now its like it never happened. Be patient, stretch daily and you can get better.
Hey friend, I'm Brazilian and I follow all your videos like a Netflix series! I would like to thank you for the content and the learning I gained from watching your videos. Thank you for the work of putting a subtitle in Portuguese, know that I am grateful! Continue with the series and be careful when doing it! he takes care of himself. satisfaction!
As a 50 year old native born Florida Man I can totally relate to your back problems. Mine has hurt for the last 30 years because I've worked hard. Thanks for sharing this adventure. Good stuff. Hopefully I'll get to fish in Northern Australia someday, it's a dream.
So cool you think to share things like your stretching routine…hope we get to see you enjoying those mud crabs, thx for sharing your fish & potatoes 🤤 keep em comin, never miss!!❤️🇨🇦
When your back starts going. Take anti inflammatory. Works wonders for me when we travel overseas dragging suitcases and sleeping in different beds. Changed my life. Used to get chronic back pain.
I always add tablespoon celery salt 1 tablespoon black pepper 1 tablespoon pink salt 1 tablespoon of paprika. Best seasoner and tastes wonderful...just mix it altogether in sealed container
56 tree surgeon blacksmith labourer doorman , never had a single problem with my back , the secret is reverse sit ups , lay on your front raise up as far as you can , no one does this exercise , its the best for your back muscles (( your filet stakes lol)
About back pain.. I accidentally discovered how to completely ELIMINATE all back pain and joint pain. After decades of lower back pain and in my 50s. I just happened to watch a show called FAT SICK AND NEARLY DEAD.. So I experimented juicing for several days. But then I really wanted to chew on solids so I strictly ate salads. In just 10 days ALL my Back Pain and arthritis pain DISAPPEARED VANISHED! I went on to eat only plants and cannot explain how FRIKIN AMAZING I felt in such a short time. 5 yrs later have not looked back!!!!
I'm 65 and 6 years ago I had health problems that I didn't think I would be still around now. I discovered keto and carnivor and are now thriving. 3 trips along the east coast of the cape this year on a motorcycle living on oysters and dried beef.all my long standing pains gone.Az you have the animals and the plants, why not try a few months ether way.
@@dadbosworth6838 And what's the common food you both avoided? Carbs.. Carbs are the culprit. Totally agree, plants and meat can be eaten in harmnony together

@@MagicMayers Well it impressed the ladies well enough back then. Never slept alone so it had it's benefits. Looking back less hassle sleeping alone and less blown back not impressing the ladies. I will be dead soon and if anything it was all good memories.
@KegstandOG I dunno how old you are but the body is really good at healing itself when we let it. Good memories are really all we get to hang onto. Cherish them. I hope your back doesn't give you anymore trouble. Take care brother.
This is a message to the whole b2b gang. Love your shows and have seen all episodes. I would like to make a proposal. I love fishing and eating fish but I find the damage done by barbed hooks is excessive and hard to watch. Would you consider using and promoting barbless hooks on your adventures? I don’t think I’m alone regarding the negatives and damage to the fish especially if it’s catch and release. Please give it some thought. The viewers and the fish will thank you and love you for it.
If it's catch and release it should be barbless. Harder to keep on but that's it's own challenge. Canadians manage to catch fish with barbless hooks so it's not unreasonable. Still, it's not clear if fish experience pain. At least we know things like oysters, mussels etc. don't have the infrastructure in their nervous system to feel pain.
