Nice yacht for those wanting races and excitement. Not for owners on a easy cruise around the world. Keep you vids short and sweet. If I want more information on a specific yacht , I can always contact the builder. Well done as usual Toby.
Not a bad design. Love the aft sitting area that reminds me of the old sailing ships. This would be a great ocean cruiser for an owner and paid crew. I would add a few perks to the forward master's cabin and better sitting at the helm stations. The non fixed keel makes it ideal for cruising. It needs an arc for the electronics and as a base for a rear canopy. I would also add electric winchews and a generator.
Although it looks/feels like a lifting keel version of the Alubat Cigale 16- it sure is sexy. I can't imagine the passage speeds that can be maintained on such a light bullet carrying such massive sails. I genuinely like the clean, undressed interior- function over looks- easy to maintain, obviously clean or needing attention. Space is almost too much and choppy forward berths (central keel box caused) almost require the clean simple approach. I'd be happy to travel the world in the Cigale 16 and this will never drop into my budget, but- like many, I'd love to Transpac it, Ocean race it and PHRF it against bigger boats (theoretical advantage boats) all day long. I think my very 1st investment would be to seal the stern lockers against water intrusion- I imagine that sugar scoop could get filled & quickly in tall, short seas!
Lovely boat, but please touch more things. Open hatches, show me the control systems, pan slowly across the busy bowsprit, explain the setup of the different fore sails. More on deck content is truly what I am asking for. I want to know what it is like so sail and not so much how showering is done.
@@victorvandyke9898 that's not what these videos are necessarily about. They're also to showcase new boats, touching and opening things includes that as well as giving an overall look of the vessel.
victor van dyke you are making a fair point. My income is nowhere near adequate to even dream of such a vessel, but I find running rigging especially interesting, since some of the solutions can be copied and made into actual modifications on many smaller boats, including my family’s (not so fast-)cruiser
Have a look at Elley Grey built for a couple to sail the world delivered in 2012 totally equiped even electric square sail for trade wind sailing , jaccusi under the after deck and a fraction of this price vat payed .
391/5000 Hmm ... I would be uncomfortable at the helm, especially at night. No relaxation, everything is open from all sides, there is little space. Half a step back and fell overboard. Or do they think that when rolling you will stand in one place? When rolling against the nose will be very difficult, because there is nothing to grasp. In general, a pleasure yacht, not for distant crossings. The only advantage is aluminum.

It's a coastal cruiser meant for going fast, having fun and beating your friends back to the marina. Note how minimal and lightweight everything is. Not a passagemaker but I would love to race her from San Diego to San Francisco.....that would be the dream of a lifetime.
Most of the boat's i have seen or been on, people on board, has to wear a harness !! When you are sailing at night, 2 people are on watch, on day 1!There is a spray hood you can put up, to take the worst weather. And you also will have sailing clothes on. I got a HH one, now 4 years old. That was what i could afford. Toby said this was the "race version" of the 2 Gulliver's. The first one was the cruise type. Look at the video "the philosophy of sailing" Hawaii and return solo. Most of the boat's i have seen on TH-cam sailing around the world, are not ultra expensive high end boats. Have a nice day 👋🌞
The outside the ship is wonderful, the look and the shape is top notch, but the inside is plastic and more plastic, they could make that honey-come plastic look like nice wood finish -a more proper look for a sail ship,- now in all white it looks so blank.-my personal opinion. TH
This boat is made for an italian...italians do interior design better than most...you are just stuck in the past, when all boats looked like dark wooden gentlemen's clubs...things change...roll with it.
Такие парусники необходимо бесплатно раздавать, чтобы компенсировать моральный ущерб за внешний вид, не говоря уже об интерьере!!! Уважаемые производители, данной лодки, парусники это не ваше направление, займитесь телегами!!!
What a pile of shit. Totally impractical for anything other than racing. Either build a supermaxi or a cruiser. You cannot have both. Money buys poor taste on a large scale.
Beautiful. Can’t wait to see some footage of her under way!
I absolutely love Aluminum construction boats. .. This Fast Cruiser is an amazing build. That orange wheel the trim tab ?
the saloon in the stern takes up some old projects by Finot such as the comet 13 plus and the Cigalle

That is one sexy boat. If I had the money this is what I'd buy. Thanks.

Just stunning.
No Galley?, or did I miss that?
Instant Classic
how much is it ??? that is always important to add

It's just a first look. A quick look if you will.
Clearly you like this yacht! Can you afford it? I bet not. So let Toby do his thing. If you want more information, contact the builder.

Please sometimes read the description !!
Many of the boat's Toby show's are also to sell the YW Magazine 👍
Have a nice day
2:47 Right in there, right in there. Good work. No open aft: bad design characteristic. Eye on the prize. One day you'll get it.
How much?
Wauw, I want one!!
so it is build for long distant and speed so tody how fast can it go ??????????????
ALUBAT CIGALE 18 ???
yes, reminded me as well.
That is exactly what this is.
Yeah the exterior is exactly the same... or very very similar... search for alubat cigale 18 and you'll see...
Same designer, mark lombard, he updated his old design for the cigale.
À quoi peut il bien servir ce voilier ?
the only thing that i can afford that is on this boat is that welcome floormat.
...if I just had those winning powerball numbers
Why is my mouth watering? Is that a thing?

@ no it aint
Agree that the cockpit is constrained and too spartan. Also agree that there’s not much to keep you from toppling over...
Very attractive outside, chip plastic look inside... wouldnt buy this one...
J'espère que le bateau est performant, car l'intérieur n'est vraiment pas très joli

white deck not hot enuf,,,under foooot...needed brown...
*Awful interior " design " . It looks like tourist class train carriage.*

Your opinion is okay. But this is a semi custom boat. So the owners has decided what they like 😊

Hideous!!! Definitely not for anything but racing.
Well, Charlie, some of us are racing even when we are cruising.
very confused layout

It's horrible.
