I love the half step down approach of this unplugged version. I would have even gone one full key down to C, it would do wonders to the vocal range

I am glad that Bono remembered how to sing ;)

Edge obviously loves acoustic guitar as well as electric and I believe we are fortunate that he shares this version as he loves it for us to enjoy. It’s a gorgeous “riff” there near the end.

It’s amazing he can get the same echoing rhythms on acoustic when everyone always thought it was electronically generated. I love the acoustic version of Vertigo he did on banjo for example. I didn’t like that song before I heard it on banjo. I didn’t fully appreciate the melody before it was stripped down

About time they readjusted the set last night, I think U2 made a huge first in tour history, Pride was done in acoustic style for the first time in tour!, And what Adam said about Pride being played at the end of the shows in December, False!!!!.

Edge said due to complexity and expense of the production there is very limited room for flexibilty...i.e that 4 song section that breaks up Ab is the only window they have to bring in tunes from other albums..a wealth of material from all their other albums they can draw from....

@@habibhussain825 I really thought they would play the entire Rattle & Hum section seeing how much I love the new version of All I Want Is You on Songs of Surrender. If they think of playing that song again at the Sphere, put I Still Haven't Found & All I Want Is You in a medley together. That would pretty much work like you did in Popmart. MLK & Pride I think may stick around from time to time from what's happening in Israel and Gaza!.

Serious question. What's wrong with Bono? I vaguely recall that he had a biking accident in NYC a decade ago that effed up his hands, but what happened to his voice? He looks healthy but his voice is gone.

Loving hearing comments about vocals from someone’s cellphone 100 feet away. Knowing the shitty recording quality he sounded good. Why don’t you listen to some of the soundboard recordings or wait for an official release.

He’s just old. I can’t think of a single rock singer in history who hasn’t lost range by their 60’s, and Bono never really got it trained to begin with. It’s inevitable, really.

@@ryyyan4795 Bono's only 63; that is not old. And my original comment was not a reference to his range as much as it was about the lack of power and breath control. I can easily rattle off singers even older than Bono that sound as good as ever - Don Henley, Peter Gabriel, Billy Joel, Simon LeBon, Annie Lennox, Ann Wilson, to name a few. It's a bit jarring to hear him warbling softly today compared to the strident belts of his youth.

He talks about having open heart surgery in his book. I was shocked to hear that. Then it made sense that he seemed different to me. At the Joshua Tree tour, my friend and I turned to each other and said we thought something was wrong. He sounded great but was standing in one place most of the show. We were used to him running and jumping around crazy. We didn’t know he had major surgery before that tour

first of all, yeah he did train it, and second, your comment is shitty and dismissive, and you've clearly not heard enough.@@ryyyan4795

If more people sing instead of recorded the sphere would be even crazier….
