bobbi.brewtality He has just discovered that his wife is in love with another man, but he has to laugh (ridi pagliaccio) because he is a clown and he has to go on stage shortly.
I have seen other versions that people said, but this version still that more marked me ! The interpretation of Pavarotti seems more restrained gestures but he too expressed in the voice and in look, making the whole experience very true . And his voice seems to flow more naturally, making it seems easy and your rythm looks better to me.
When I hear and see other versions I get through it no problem but for some reason when I see this one at 1:53 I always burst into tears u see the pain in his face you hear the pain in his voice idk but I can't do it with out one tear
The Lyrics in English. Act! While in delirium, I no longer know what I say, or what I do! And yet it's necessary... make an effort! Bah! Are you not a man? You are a clown! Put on your costume, powder your face. The people pay, and they want to laugh. And if Harlequin shall steal your Columbina, laugh, clown, so the crowd will cheer! Turn your distress and tears into jest, your pain and sobbing into a funny face - Ah! Laugh, clown, at your broken love! Laugh at the grief that poisons your heart!

Bravo!

Can somebody explain me why he produces throaty voice? You can't hear this when listen to Caruso, Pertile, Gilli. WHY? If it's bad why it is tolerated?
Now that's an Italian Dramatic Tenor voice! I started as a baritone but now I am a full lyric tenor who is about to think about retraining towards the dramatic tenor voice who has agility from the lyric tenor and spinto tenor to the heldentenor repretoire if that's what nature may intend to do.
This tenor is a lyric tenor and one with a bad technique on top of that. Also, one can NOT train to be a dramatic tenor. One is either born with a genuine dramatic instrument or one is NOT born with a genuine dramatic instrument.
His larynx is VERY HIGH which stresses the vocal cords and will create permanent damage. His vibrato is uneven and super tight. It lack FREEDOM. It is very important to have a low larynx when singing classically! Also this voice is way too small for the actual role and even too small for this aria. I can dare to say this is actually a lyric leggero tenor which is an even smaller voice than a lyric tenor. This voice has no DEPH, nor squillo or size.
Ma a me sembra bravo.
Wow!!! One of the best performances I’ve ever seen!! Bravo!
Bravo, Maestro! I hadn't heard such a magnificent performance lately. Great tenors are few and far apart...!!!

+Камен Крайчев At which point did he produce a "throaty sound"?
After F- F sharp mostly, but the rest sounds not very good at all too. Not a matter of the voice but the projection of the tone.
well im not pitch perfect and nor do i have access to the score. Would be appreciated if you could give the time signature
+Камен Крайчев Well, he had a mic on. His voice isn't big nor has squillo...
