George and Timmy the dog have disappeared! Could they have been kidnapped? And why has someone has broken into Kirin Cottage with whilst their Aunt and Uncle are away? The Famous five are sure there is a connection - but how can they solve the mystery when there is only three of them? Does their new friend ragamuffin Jo hold the key to the puzzle?
It is abridged by Derek Webb and Phil Evans with a 65 minute running time, the story still works well with enough tension and drama. These shorter dramatizations are ideal for 'reading' in a single sitting and are great for relaxing bedtime, or car journeys with kids. Recorded/released by Hodder Children's Audiobooks, performed by Nick McArdle, Josephine Thurley, Jan Francis, John Baddeley and Judy Bennett; with Henry Marsh as Julian, Jack Shute as Dick, Scarlett Strallen as George, and Ellie Bevan as Anne.
This is shared from a recording of a cassette tape, so lots of old-fashioned tape noises, but still listenable and an enjoyable telling for childhood nostalgia and relaxation or for excitement in new generation of imaginative listeners.

I cannot find an UNABRIDGED audio version of this volume anywhere for free...for me, it's always a great tragedy and woeful feeling of loss to me when a book that would normally allow me to wallow in enjoyment for 4-5 hours gets truncated to a (in my personal opinion) measly ONE HOUR or so. 😢😭
That is not everyone's view, I know, but it's such a disappointing sense of loss when all you can find is the abridged, short version...💔😞

Do you have more of the Hodder versions? Those were the ones I experienced as a child and I personally think they are the best out of them all. The narrator instantly takes me back all those years! Thank you for uploading this!
