Some people have been misinterpreting Nas for nearly 25 years now with his message. He's never changed. Whether its from Ether or Nastradamus to his Nasir album. He's always been about shedding this corporeal BS that gets everybody down, that gets people killing each other over nothing. He lived through the lives ruined by the east coast west coast shit, then he called out JayZ and Mobb Deep for their manipulation and fueling the fire (we can see how Jayz never really change with all the lives he's ruined as a billionare slumlord/gentrifier), But so many people saw Nas and his 100% positivity and realism since day 1 and just couldn't believe it, they always thought he had some hidden motives or was getting people to disappear, they saw him spread love to Tupac as if Nas was going to get him killed. No man, Nas has been legit since day 1. This King's Disease trilogy has been the wax seal for me.

He is a bit preachy sometimes, but I can look past all that. His beats are sometimes slightly unorthodox, however his lyricism is almost second to none.
I have been listening and feeling him for decades. He is most definitely a master of his art.

Hit Boy has lit a fire underneath his ass. This is CLASSIC NAS that Ive been missing. And though he had albums with moments of greatness it feels like this body of work picks up where It Was Written ended.

Nas just dropped a modern day classic. It's the 2022's It Was Written with a sprinkle of The Lost Tapes. 🔥

I’d love to just read these lyrics. Reading lyrics hit different. If it’s raps like this, you’ll really see the genius of it. Read the lyrics of lets say Glorilla, and well…

Very reminiscent of Lupe Fiasco's - The Game
I am the one that they march with
Through the back alleys and the black markets
The Oval offices, crack-houses, and apartments
Through the mazes of the queens
I am the blood of this city
    Its gas, water, and electricity
I'm its gym, and its math, and its history
    The gunshots in the class
And you can't pass if you're missin', G

Thank you. Your commentary interprets ... translates?... important music and lyrics to me, an outsider who wants to know more about music and culture.
