Despite what life was like in my day, I never really wanted to see people not having a good time: even if the women wanted no part of me. Ultimately men did show up for that event. And the looks on the sisters' faces were priceless. None of them were staring down into their drinks. They really seemed to be having a good time and that men, black men included, were there and participating. Now all that may sound contradictory. Nevertheless, it is what it is.

This actually happens often. I remember a group that I frequent that's organized for young black professionals to network had a singles mixer on Valentine's day. They had to cancel bc there were no men signing up.
Nothing new under the sun. This has been happening for decades. A group of friends went on a black singles cruise in the late 90's. Was a ship full on women, very few BM. I warned them that BM were not going to show, I opted out.

Men did show up,,,, eventually. It wasn't a lot of them. I would say maybe 20 Brothas may have showed up. Even still it just shows how men are beginning to understand that it's just not worth the hassle nor the headache in dealing with MOST black women.

Another video was made where this guy was on a date and the woman he was with brought her friend on the date she STILL expected him to pay for both of them, and she was crazy enough to tell him that she already had a man once he heard that he got an Uber split the bill and left them both to pay for the rest bill they ordered.
