    The $15 spring is a must-have. It greatly improves clutch feel and makes shifting far smoother.

      Did you purchase just the spring or did you buy the whole perch kit?

  • @Suprnova84

    Honestly, I love how stiff mine is. A few months ago i purchased a brand new 2017 with 200 miles and enjoy the feel so far.

      how is the transmission holding up?
      is it hard to daily?
      thankss

      @kozhyar3039 I daily mine with no problems, especially being in Chicago with bad winters. My only problem with the transmission is 2nd gear sucks it's so damn short. Lol, other than the she's perfect. Enjoy if things work out...

    This was my fist upgrade on my 16 GT. It's a must have! Thanks Steeda!

  • @Ryan-re7oj
    @Ryan-re7oj 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great upgrade! Immediate satisfaction! Plus you can do this without tools if you’re bendy. The spring only needs to compress a tiny bit in order to slip in and out.

  • @mrksts1
    @mrksts1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I installed just the spring a while back and cutch pedal effort actually goes up a little. You might think it would get easier with a lighter spring, but crawl under the dash, push the pedal in by hand and you will see what is going on. The spring assists in pushing the pedal down after a breakover point. That's the issue with the factory spring. It does too much pushing down for you and that results in vague pedal feel. It's not a lot more pedal effort with the Steeda, but clutch feel is world's better.

      Don't forget you get the perch too!! I don't make the prices but I can tell you that it is a very worthwhile upgrade.

    • @jodl73
      @jodl73 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      They also offer the spring only which costs $15. This is what most people get. As long as you're careful in removing the stock spring, you can reuse the stock perch.

      Send it back to Ford so they can use it in another Mustang. That's the American thing to do. DO NOT send it to Russia.

  • @gaivoron
    @gaivoron 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Got the whole assembly installed, definitely clutch pedal travel feels smoother, yet spring delete feels even better and not loose at the top of the pedal. Not sure if I should leave it with out the spring.

      I learned to drive stick on my 2016 and it only took me about 1500 miles or so to have perfectly smooth transitions from stop to 6th while still being pretty aggressive on the throttle. Maybe it's just because I learned on it and don't have that muscle memory, but I didn't find it nearly as difficult as people seem to be making it out to be.

    Do they make one for the Focus ST? The stock one is very stiff!

    • @Sahadi420
      @Sahadi420 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      this spring makes the stock clutch pedal of the mustang HARDER to press. The original helper spring gives like 85 lbs. of help..........this one is only 35 lbs of help. You install this spring so the clutch is harder to press, which lets you feel the clutch out a bit easier.

    • @Zerogivengarage

      It makes the pedal softer so you get a better feel of actual clutch engagement instead of just feeling the spring.

    Just installed Steeda spring and perch on my 15 GT. With all the rave reviews, I was actually disappointed. The pedal still feels vague and now there’s a loose deadspot at the top of the pedal travel. Gonna try just the spring on the factory perch to see if it feels better.

    So running the clutch without the spring that provides force in the direction that pushes the clutch pedal down is dangerous because without the spring pushing the pedal down, the clutch can not come all the way up...

    Just received mine for my 21 mustang gt. I have a question. The clutch pedal is fully up but when pressing down there's about an inch play at the top. The first inch I can push down with my finger. It always comes back up but was wondering if it's normal . I just installed it today and it's perched perfect with stock perch.
