couldn't agree more! i think it's because the chord progression! I don't know exactly the chords that are used in this music but it sounds so emotional, even better than the original one! i could listen to this for 10 hours
This is deffinatly music from a higher dimension/plane of existance... RDJ just knows how to access it, but the the hard part is then recreating what he has heard... what a genious...! Never heard this backwards. sublime
Really does capture my abstract thoughts. The thoughts I think of without really thinking, no words describe it because it's some unexplainable and unfortunately forgettable aura.
It feels so, different. Yet the same. The chords changing sounds much more stagnant in this version. I’ve been listening to this for so long, and so I notice all the little differences. Ending with the chord that once was the chord that started gives this effect and it feels much more caring and wholesome to me. The original feels like giving up, a final acceptance of the end. But this feels like it’s picking me back up. And every time how it slowly builds up and rests on the final chord, and then goes quiet all of the sudden and picks back up again, feels like the many times I emotionally get knocked over just to get stood back up by something or someone. Some of this is unexplainable and transcends my words here, but I tried to simplify it here.
a tiny corner of a tiny corner of a grain of sand on a universal beach we'll all wash up on, sojourners only, heads peeking out just momentarily -- blink and you'll miss it -- through the foam and the surf, through the pain and the beauty, through the morass, from dark to light to dark dark dark dark forever into her arms, the arms of charon, or is it kali? or allah, yahweh? buddha? was it hitler's embrace you longed for? he rests now on the beach, beneath a stark sun, jews his bedfellows, arm around you, his arm around your father, your mother, your mother's arms around you, around himself, around yourself, your arms around him as well -- our arms in which we all rest and to which we return. for we are our hands and we are also their holders, and that which is being held -- by Grace
@@ahmedjonsson9918 I just want to say a year later from when you posted this, I woke up, randomly turned on this song, and now I'm randomly picking out windows and imagining the same. Good luck to you.
Somehow it sounds even sadder to me when it's reversed
I feel like it's touching the depths of my soul
Really ? It's the opposite for me. The revearsed version looks more optimistic, but with a strange sensation of "end of the world"

Sounds just as beautiful in reverse as it does forward... This is my favourite Aphex Twin track too...
alive?

robert downey junior?
I'll be damned. RDJ is a musical genius. His tunes touch my heart. Whether his songs are played in reverse, slowed down, or sped up.
:)
Beautiful things like this really exist, they really do. (And I almost cannot believe it.)
:)
Ahh .... Still profound any way this track is spun . love and peace to all of you ❤️
Reversed version feels more like descending, while the original is more stable.
Beautiful

Is this what death sounds like? The obsidian void?
It is not at all an obsidian void, it is infinity.
even deeper!
I dont know where the uploader of this video is now, but i hope that they're doing okay
i think this is better than the original, its slightly happier

Look up the (slowed + reverb) edition with the pink clouds. That gives a different vibe to this record
