  • Caught video of a tornado touching near the small town of Dover, AR, just north of Russellville, causing minor damage. I didn't have my regular camera setup so this was all shot on my iPhone 12!

    It's great to watch a chaser video where the chaser doesn't sound like a drunk teenager yelling at his friends. Thanks, and great video!

    Great shots! One of the best this year of a tornado developing! Its still shocking to me even to this day after seeing countless tornados how quickly some rotation in the clouds turns into a tornado.

    Nice to hear a professional speak rather than screaming: 'Tornado on the ground" as if they were a pre-pubescent boy. Outstanding job covering this severe weather outbreak.

    The fact that the smartphones now have h.d. and clear vision makes it worthwhile. It's feels more like your actually with the stormchasers and home vids.

    At the 0:51 mark to the right of the screen looks to be another tornado and if you look carefully you can see a debris cloud from it too lasted like 15ish seconds

      Heard a scientist researching tornado formation ask chasers to try to get that circulation you mentioned on video more to help better understand tornado activity. Apparently, that smaller circulation you saw is common and most often spinning anti cyclonic or opposite the larger tornado. They are very interesting!

    Great video. I live just north of Conway and was watching this storm. North Arkansas rewards the brave and lucky chasers who show up and score, often by taking the lone opportunity available like you had here (as it was also for the trio up on Hwy 65). Full respect, well deserved score.

    On March 6th tornado sirens in Clarksville AR, one siren about 50 yards from my home, went off & on every 5 min. for a solid hour for a tornado being tracked by dopler radar that was headed straight for the small town of Lamar approx 5 miles east on Hwy-64. It never did touch down and simply disappeared. Both my dogs reacted as usual. 150lb Lab/Pit mix Butler hid under my desk shaking like a leaf while 20lb Baby Girl bared fang & claw trying to murder the sound that was pissing her off.

    • @MaxOlsonChasing
      @MaxOlsonChasing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah sirens are a very outdated warning source and shouldn't be relied on, usually they can only be heard outdoors and within a couple miles of its location.

    Great job getting that shot! Between the road network, terrain, and storm speed we couldn’t quite catch up to it in time to see the tornado. We got to see one of the first few cycles and then some awesome structure but probably should have positioned north of I-40 in hindsight lol
