- “Fuller House” actress Lori Loughlin tells Kathie Lee Gifford and guest co-host Jennifer Nettles that she was initially asked to be on the Hallmark series “When Calls the Heart” for one day. Now she says “it’s looking good” that the she’ll still be around for season 5!

paul loiseau--Probably, while molesters and rapists are walking the streets after serving only 6 mos. to a year---and many don't serve any time. But lets concentrate on this woman and her two daughters and make jokes that are not funny.

dexm--you are so right. This has all gone too far now and I just see it now as cruel.
@ C W I have to say, regardless of what people think about her or this story one way or the other, I'm not sure exactly why her bail needed to be set at *1 million dollars.* That is an OBSCENE amount of money for bail over an offense like this. There are far worse offenses past and present which not only allowed for bail, but also set the bail amount far lower than this.
This case obviously does not reflect well upon Lori, but I think it's weird to say the least that something like this is making as much noise as it is (or at least was).
dexm--yes it is an obscene amount of money for bail and the reason being is that she is a celebrity and has money and the judge was being racist against people with money. She is not a flight risk! And, yes, worse offenses have gotten less.
@ CW The only way I could reasonably see having bail be set so high would be for someone with known or suspected ties to organized crime or someone deemed a flight risk....obviously neither one applies. It is indeed a strange situation.
I don't know this, and am only wondering out loud, but I wonder if either the judge or prosecutor(s) had a particular axe to grind with her or her family for some reason.
dexm2010--maybe the judge and prosecutors hate rich people or "Hollywood" people? Who knows? And could get more money out of them? Maybe they thought the public would come against them, too, on social media and the news.

It will take time for people to get over this scandal and even then, no one will ever be able to look at her the same way.

I believe that her arrest was for essentially, tax fraud. She and her husband - as well as the others in this case, wrote off the money they spent as charitable contributions to a foundation that grants scholarships to underprivileged kids.
Lori Loughlin started working early in life. Her father worked for New York Telephone Co. and her mother was a Homemaker. She came from a Christian family. Her father allowed her to pursue modeling at 11, when she was unexpectedly handed a contract while accompanying a friend and friend's mother to a modeling studio, but her father told her that she had to score excellent grades in school if she did that. Later she went on to receive critical applause as Rebecca in Full House--the show badged several awards. She received awards as a child star--always working hard. Later she became a star of Hallmark movies and series.
