I hate nasus. My first ranked game in a long while and i got laned against him, i should have known not to let him farm at level 1. Come level 6, ganking him is too risky we just left him on top. And just pushed other lanes. We won that game not pushing where he was.
They knew xerath would not be destroyed but he could be oneshoted in lategamr
over the time, Nasus probably gained enough stacks to one shot Renekton.
But he was 0/35/0 because he kept feeding renekton and renekton one shotted him instead :p

It really hit me hard when Renekton carried his dying brother to ascension. The selflessness he showed Nasus, knowing that he should surely be dead when his brother ascended but would die without it, made me feel the love between them. Renekton was willing to die so that he may live. When they were rewarded the power of the sun disc, and both ascended, the rush of emotion brought me tears. This is the most beautiful lore of Shurima. Thank you for the story Necrit.
And in the end, it would be better if he left him to die, given his inaction in post-shurima (Shurima after her fall)

Honestly, they should make it a Netflix series. Have each episode be varying lengths, and have them all focus on different stories. Like, not just each episode is a different champion, they can have stories where champions team up, or fight against each other and so on. Hell, they don't even need to have a champion there, I'd totally be down for seeing episodes that just focused on how life in Noxus or Piltover was, from the perspective of a random civilian. There's so many possibilities honestly!

+ejnar krog Nah i think that's always been his weapon, the problem would be that a human pre-ascension renekton would have a model way too different than renekton's current crocodile-man model so it's very unlikely that skin will ever happen

All of this happened because Azir decided to hide the Christmas present of freedom for years, even though he promised it to Xerath even before he was emperor. Xerath was very angry when he didn't get it the first year when Azir was an emperor, and it continued until he decided to "kill" Azir and Ascend himself. Despite finally getting his present, he felt it was too late as everything was already set to motion and his plan couldn't be stopped. :/
John Doan but how couldnt he stop his plan? He could just not kill azir and let him ascend. Azir did what he promised and because of xeraths betrayal the people he tried to free died.

OMG this story is from the Indian Mythology! The Hindu story of 2 vanur (monkey men) brothers Bali and Sugreev.
Bali was the king and Sugreev was the younger brother.
Both were chasing a demon that ran into a cave and Bali said he would go in and if he didn’t come out until dawn, Sugreev should seal the cave and become king.
When inside, the demon manipulated Bali’s voice to make it sound like he had died and so the younger brother sealed the cave with a rock.
Then Bali returned after killing the demon later seeking vengeance for his younger brother was now king and he felt that his younger brother Sugreev had purposely sealed the cave.
I am so happy to see that Riot is taking inspiration from our Hindu Mythology... Someone on Reddit had recently mentioned that the story of Eclipse Kayle and Coven Morgana is very similar to that of demon brothers Rahu and Ketu from our Mythology.

If anyone ever wondered: The way the brothers were in warfare, officer and soldier, is basically how the Greeks viewed Athena and Ares. Nasus being the strategist officer is Athena, and Renekton being the great soldier is Ares

This story is so sad because they were brothers and that they loved each other so much one would give up everything for the other when they both ascended.the worst part was seeing that xerath ruined everything.what couldve been an amazing rakan-xayah duo turned into a terrible fight between brothers
Basically the whole lore narrows down to: while Nasus avoids contact, farming his Q, Renekton roams mid, gets shot a bunch but manages to jump onto Xerath then getting back top lane to fuck up his brother.

i'd like to see if any of the other ascended will become champions. it probably won't happen for a while after azir last year and taliyah release and all this lore updates presently.
+Reggie land Azir was released almost two years ago already. But considering Taliyah just released (who is also from Shurima) it'll take a while for a Shuriman champion in general.

I always expected, that you have to be able to JOIN the army before being able to join one. Intellect and talent is all well and good. But actual experience is the thing too. And I wouldn't really like to fight in battle, when my general is still fighting hormones.
Let's presume, you can join army in 18 (which is disputable but it's the current norm). What time span are we talking about between, goint to college and becoming leader of an army 4 years or so?
Even if you'd start as an officer (let's say as a platoon commander) due to virtue of birth or learning, becoming a general so fast is... this is like jumping from office cubicle to goddamn president (even if regarding "general" in wider terms then actual military rank in RL). The timeframe is almost as ridiculous as a notion of being able to win a battle without loosing single soldier. Wow, not even the likes of Napolen, Sun Tzu and Yi have nothing on this guy and those rose as quickly as they've did because of perilous times for their respective nations, which CONCIDERABLY sped the process (just for comparison, Patton became brigadier general in 1941 and he was officer since 1911 so he even fought in WWI)
Just to be clear I understand artistic license or even the possibility of unreliable narrator and I like Shurima lore so far, but this is just pushing it to teenage fanfic Garry Stu levels of what the hell.

I think Nasus should’ve thrown himself with Xerath instead of Renekton because he would’ve been able to keep his mind invulnerable since he was so well educated. Renekton could’ve thrown Xerath into the tomb and Nasus could’ve followed to ensure he didn’t escape
