I love your fabric, it's beautiful! Abd please stop saying that you are not good at sewing because you sre doing a great job. You know, this is exactly what a lot of designers do who are not trained. They come up with an idea and figure out how to do the things their own way. It's like musicians who play by ear, they don't read music but they learn songs by figuring them out by ear and that is also how they write. I'd say most famous singer so geriyers from the 70s did it thst way.. It's the same with sewing. Thanks for the video.❣️🔮
Please please show us how to make the bag with the divider in the middle?! I use tarot and oracle together....so knowing how to make a big momma bag for both sets of cards would be amazing.
I don't really follow a pattern for my bags and I haven't done a divided one in some time, but I'll see if I can put something together for that. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
I am in front of my singer sawing machine...not knowing what am I doing but these bags drive me crazy ! They are lovely and the materials you used are beautiful !!! Inspired!! Thanks and super 2020!!!!!🎊♾🎊🎀🙏🤗🌟
My first few bags were a bit if a disaster when I first sat down to try and figure out how to make one. I found making some practice ones first (with just whatever scrap fabric I had laying around) was really helpful. That allowed me to get more of a hang for it before I started working with my good fabric. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️
I’ve been quilting since 2004 and I am very comfortable around a sewing machine and making bags and this tutorial is pretty good! I would just suggest using fusible fleece (like felt you can iron on instead of using glue) and using a pin instead of glue when you hold the ribbon in before you stitch it, the only reason is that glue can really mess up the needle and make gummy. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you SO much for this video! 🥰 I'm in love with the result of the bag I made!! 🤩 Now I can show it of in my TH-cam video's 🤭I'll share the link to your video! Dawn! Thank you so much for this. I made my first bag tonight using your video 💜 I have literally no experience using a sewing machine but I pushed through haha. Best bag tutorial I have seen and I've made three bags since watching! I love the felt idea, as it's cheaper than batting, although I used a bit of fusible fabric glue instead. I made one with the stitching on the outside, not on purpose, but I found that I liked it better. I also made the flap with a bit of an envelope closure, as this also helped with the flap appearing larger than the bag body. Another note, directional fabric is not so good with this project. I have been making drawstring bags, but I like this way so much better for stacking the bags. Thank you so very much!!
Thank you so much, I am so glad you found it helpful and made some bags! I have found you do have to be careful with directional fabric, sometimes I get things upside down. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
@@nyx7014 I don't have a video, but when I put the stitching on the outside, this helped with the flap proportions. The other thing I did is to fold the flaps in at the corners a bit forming a a triangle. There is also a tutorial I found on TH-cam for making an eyeglass case that turns the fabric only once. I modified those instructions to fit my cards. I would link the video for you here, but I would need to have permission from Domichelle.
