i think we can all agree that this movie would've been 10x better if it had been fully animated instead of the 'iconic character in real life' crap we've seen a thousand times. a good example of this is the peanuts movie.
Agree! At least, it will be pretty to look at unlike the ugly 3D in the movie. Would be more interresting too if it was just about Harold and his friends exploring his world. No need for a villain, just a simple story about friendship and imagination would be fun 🙂
Poor Zooey Deschanel. She’s officially reached the “woman of a certain age” phase of her career and is forced to be in bad movies like this. She still looks incredible and has a good presence on screen, so to see her in bad roles in the present is…discouraging 🙃
Honestly, the most culturally relevant things about Harold and the Purple Crayon was that it was the inspiration to name a character from the Captain Underpants series.
With this movie being worse, it makes Alvin and the chipmunks movies (except the third one), better or just average

It sort of makes sense that have Zooey playing the piano in the movie being that she is also a musician. She is one half of the duo She & Him.
