So sorry to see the GT500 motor blown up like that, but you knew pushing on the limits on the bottom end, just didn't know when. But looking forward to the comeback better, badder, stronger than than ever.
So was it the internals that gave out or did the block have a failure? Currently debating weather to just get a gen3 5.2L block or sleeving my gen2 coyote for a 1300ish hp build
@@gen1c8rs88 thank you. Just wanting to gauge how much I can wind up my stock Whippled 10R80 GT up. Only has conservative tune at 620Wheel HP would love to go to 750WHP on pump gas but don't want it blowing up.
Sorry for the engine failure, but considering the extreme number of hard passes on a stock engine. Unfortunately as you know. They do blow up. It's the expensive side of drag racing, but it will be interesting seeing the guru of Mustang builds start with a new and improved 5.2 bullet. From watching your videos and seeing what you're able to achieve with basically a stock GT500. Your new built replacement engine should be Off The Chart. Awesome PBD !!! You gotta give it to ford that's a bad bitch to handle the abuse it's had on it hell of a motor and of course the tuner you guys are great been waiting on this video 👍
The price you pay to learn the limited . This thing went way wsy longer then anyone expect . 1300hp on a stock block . Insane . I'm sure you guy's learn alot for your costumers. Awesome work guy's I know I know the ls guys will say dumb shit but .....
A factory Engine is not going hold up in racing continuous and some modifications that's any hotrod factory sport car you must pull the engine out start their replace parts now you are leaving factory specs . Again its not Motor its a engine a motor run on a source other that is on and an engine runs over source of his own .
I still do not understand why you guys push the GT500 I personally would live it as is. Its fast sure not as fast as the NSX stock or the 911 Turbo S but that Ford engine is edgy. I seen people run cams and bam. It is all in the tune. That tune has to be spot on. I rather just maybe pour E85 and tune and that is it maybe maybe a cam but that is it.
I'm not 100 percent but he was probably saying yeah to the 172 mph and had a late reaction to it I don't know but if he did celebrate the engine blowing up yeah I'm not sure why he would.
So what power was it making so everyone knows what the "danger zone" is? 1200-1300bhp?
Just over 1300rwhp
@@PalmBeachDyno Jesus
It’s all in the tune…..that’s why this car has lived so long at these power levels, unlike some other TH-cam cars.
@@PalmBeachDyno Think it could have been from too low fuel level possibly making it go lean?

Been patiently waiting for some content. Sorry to hear about the motor. Anxious to see the new set up.

Bummer. I was wondering why I didn’t see the GT500 anymore on the weekend. Good meeting you there.

Good excuse for rebuilding, learning new things about it while apart & turn that into knowledge & parts we can all use, upgrade & purchase from PBD 💪

That's a great video, really enjoyed the extended coverage.

Hell of a run so far with the gt500. I’m very impressed it lasted this long at that power. The next build should be epic
Great video thanks for the work to bring use along.

Sad to see the GT500 engine blow up like this, looking forward to seeing it comeback more powerful than ever. 😎

Awesome video Good luck on your new engine for your Shelby I'm sure it's going to be awesome 👍

I mean 1,300hp out of a factory built Ford engine, whoever the Ford person was that built that one should be proud.
Agreed!
What would you recommend?
I have a 2022 GT500, I want to keep it with stock parts but maybe a tune or pulley?
Dam been keeping up with it since the 9.95 sec pass was a pretty good engine wish i was there to see its last.

If you're blowing stuff up and breaking parts you know you're racing.

Done got that magic smoke out of it.
Sounds like a insane MPR build around the corner 🤫🤫
Cool. What’s the HP rating on a stock 5.0 bottom end ? Probably similar. Either way I standby my statement that this is the true golden age of ICE
About 1000hp for a SBE Gen 3 Coyote
Thump nail looks like a bad ass burnout
Yeah that would have been nice 😭
Man I was there and seen this and was horrified when I seen all the smoke!
I see you Kaylee Curran. 😋
So that hole can't be patched?🤔
It was bound to happen. Still doesn't change my opinion of the car!
