Folgaria - Vicenza's Closest Ski Resort

Kicking off the 2021/2022 ski season at Folgaria, the closest ski resort to Vicenza. I have to say, I was impressed! After an entire 18 months without skiing via a chairlift - it's great to be back! Tell me your thoughts and where to ski next in the comments below!

Probably the coolest and nearest ski resort near Vicenza. They told me that's the Ski Tour dei Forti, which I never tried. It seems also a cool tour in MTB in summer. Good to know history of the World War II and how United States was military displaced in that area.

I love the Alpe Cimbra ski area - Folgaria, Lavarone! At the moment I am an intermediate skier but want to work on this in the coming 2024/25 season. I love the many winding wide slopes that twist through the trees. Folgaria is the training centre of the male US SKI TEAM. I feel I shouldn’t really be promoting it, as I don’t want the masses to arrive. Folgaria really is a hidden gem!! Especially for those who love to ski in a very friendly and chilled resort! Also it is just a stones throw away from Verona… what’s not to like :)

What time of the year (month) did you go? The slopes are empty

Folgaria is pretty empty mid week outside of any of the Italian holidays including Carnival (I made that mistake) but saying that, even that was quiet compared to more popular resorts in Europe.
