It is so incredible that you have the whole family involved in this project and that they actually WANT to be involved. Y’all are making memories that will last your kids their whole lives. Well done, sir
I gotta mention, I love cars especially from the 50s and 60s. I'm not a mechanic, but after seeing a couple of videos of people restoring vintage automobiles I realize I would've loved to learn a thing or two about it. For me this is all such a wholesome video, having all the family involved, and bringing a car from the dead, cleaning it up and back on the road like that was simply terrific.. I wish you all the best and I hope your son follows your passion to restore and fix cars and becomes a mechanic or something. Much respect, and greetings from a Cuban in Florida.
You guys are awesome. I'm not having the best time in life right now. But watching you, ralphie and the family just have fun and rebuild cars together puts a smile on my face. Sending you my support from the UK, never change a thing! 😊
@Sleeperdude has the best 👌 and coolest videos on TH-cam and I have been watching sleeper dude's channel for about 8 months now and I have learnt some new things about different types of cars and I hope that I can be able to meet Josh and his kids and wife and I have been dreaming about meeting them in the future.
So great to see the whole family working, joking , laughing and learning together, making good memories. Great parents showing your kids how to work , enjoy being together. It is not the destination but the journey.
Love seeing your whole family involved with your old cars your kids will remember all these times with such affection well done looking forward to what comes next
I really love your 60's cars. At my age the 50's, 60's, and early to mid 70's cars are my favs. Not saying I'm old but I knew dirt when it was still a stone. Never understood why all the auto makers made square body cars in the 80's. Maybe the design engineer s of that era grew up playing with Legos and it became ingrained that everything had to be made like a cube. 😂
I love how you keep your kids involved in projects/hobbies, that don't involve video games, or other thongs that keep kids inside! That old Dart is an awesome car. Sure miss how cars used to have 'style' to them! Ya'll are blessed!
I just came across your video and it brought me back with my brothers helping my Dad cleaning the station wagon, good memories back in the 60’s. It is so refreshing to see your beautiful kids sharing as a family.God bless you all.

Years ago we had a 1978 Volarie wagon with a slant six. Best motor in ever made. They even used them in some farm machinery because they were so dependable.
I fixed the floor pan in a pickup buy power washing, wire wheeling, rust converting. Then got rabbit cage wire covered the holes and fiber glassed over it. Worked great!
The back drivers door on my 61 Buick got stuck right after I bought it 2 yrs ago. After watching today's video, I decided to have another go at it. I pushed the button on the handle and tugged as hard as I could, and it finally opened. Thanks for the inspiration.
I really enjoy your videos. Very relaxing to watch. We always did everything as a family like you guys. I had three sons now 43, 40 and 38 who are all mechanical. Out of 8 grandkids only one is mechanical. My 9 year old grandson Raiden. I had a really good mechanical mentor growing up that owned a Conoco gas station not far from my house. This was when there were gas wars selling regular for 25 cents. The guy thought I was a pest at first but then he realized I wanted to learn all about being a mechanic so he started showing me how to do repairs hands on. His name was Don Crandall. A very patient guy who let me learn by making mistakes. He also taught me patience. He would say that car could care less if you are mad, sad or glad so why worry about it. I live by that to this day. I rebuilt my first engine at age 14. Ground the valves, Knurled the guides and honed the cylinders myself. Put it together and bam it started right up and ran. Keep up the good work. Thanks
That floor pan reminds me of my dad's Ford Coupe with a rumble seat. Floor had rotted away and we braced ourselves on the back of the front seat. Road beneath us going past at a terrifying speed. I was only 3 or 4 at the time. Scarred me for life LOL. Regards from South Africa
Josh, greetings from NC. Thank you for all your car videos but more importantly, thanks to you and your wife for showing everyone how to be awesome parents. America really needs these kind of family values right now. You should be very proud of yourselves and your children. You two are raising some great kids.
It looks so sweet going down the road!! I just love old cars with metal dashes. They hold up so nice unlike the padded ones. Great episode Sleeperdude family💕
You folks are GREAT!!! I watch your shows and always laugh and feel better about life in general. Your children are all so well behaved and ready to help with work. Mr. & Mrs. you two have wonderful family and are doing an outstanding job raising these kids!!
It is fun to watch you and the whole family tackling all the different projects, showing the ads, dealing with all the animals, you bring something that nobody else can. Would like to see the turbo coupe and Fairmont again to see where you are at, and even the F100. The stuff growing on that car looked like it had been out to sea too long, I've seen boats with less. The name to the song you sang is "Going thru the big D" Mark Chesnut. Good job!
I must be crazy. I'm watching you wash that wagon when I should be outside washing my wagon. Still very satisfying because all wagons matter. Save them all.
You must be a happiest man on the Earth..! Nice place to live, gorgeous family, many nice old cars and plenty of cute animals!!! I am not envious man ,but feel something like this now!!!
I think one of my favorite types of your videos is the clean up videos. Always amazing to see what is underneath all that dust, rust, mold and lichen. And the interiors always look so much better. Keep up the great work you’re doing!
Love the way your family join in and help you without complaining keep up the great work may the Lord keep you and your family in His hands God Bless Love watching the videos
The old girl cleaned up well, she ain't no peach but with a new floor, other metalwork and other things she'll be a great family truckster. The Dart is one of my favorite vehicles in the Sleeper fleet!
Yuppers another great video as usual. The ole girl cleaned up pretty good. She's a keeper. Ya don't see alot of the ole wagons anymore. Glad your saving her. She deserves a big family an y'all are the perfect match for the ole girl. She definitely made it to a perfect home. Keep the videos coming. Every video makes it hard to wait for the next. I believe I said it before an I'll say it again...one of my top 5 TH-cam channels! Keep on Motoring brother!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Your videos are always the best Josh I always enjoy watching them. That old wagon sounds great going down the road, wish I could take a ride in it with Y'all. Best wishes to you and your family including the animals. Stay safe out there.
I love the banter between all of you when you're cleaning up an old car! Reminds me of my family and I when I was a kid in the 60's! Thanks for the memories!!!
I'm not a big fan of darts, but this model being a station wagon I would drive this car with pride. I just love the look of it. The body lines and the back gate and Windows look great. The roof rack looks great. Just need some body work and then a repaint. If I find me one to restore I would go really old school and do a two tone paint job on it. Keep up the great work and content.
If I may suggest, when mounting tires/casings on freshly painted wheels, mount with the wheels upside down so the mounting bar doesn't scrape the paint off of the outer rim. Also, it would be a lot quieter with floorboards. Lol
Awesome job Josh ! I love watching years of grunge and grime being blasted into oblivion with a pressure washer! Instead of a new floorpan could you make your own with sheet metal? Props to Mrs. Sleeperdude for dispatching that snake like Steve Irwin! Thanks again for posting such great content.
With those Flintstone holes in the floor does that classify this car as Flex Fuel or Hybrid? Love it please keep up the wagon projects, you just don't see them anymore. Love the video as always and give Rookie our love.
Great work on the station wagon. Fine family effort all around. I was happy to finally see that headliner get removed and the vehicle go for a test drive. Love the goats and that potbelly pig too. Much respect to Mrs. Sleeperdude for corraling that snake.
Amazing how sold that frame is on that car. The Lichen growing on it happens to any vehicle left in one place too long so 30 years you have lichen growing until it moves out of a semi damp area. Real great clean up job. As always an entertaining video.
Love your videos bringing these old cars back to life with the family helping is awsome.god bless rocky too lol.people need to see the closeness of family too.i remember me back in the day making old cars run again.peace to you and your family..
I thought the pressure washer was gonna take that quarter panel clear off... another great video... thanks Josh, Tosh, and kids.. and goats... and dogs, and snakes ... lol
This is a very cool way to raise a family. Involving everyone and teaching them they can accomplish things with some effort and using their minds for more than video games. (Gives me flashbacks of growing up on a farm in the 50's) Well done!
Really enjoy the show very neat watching all the Moss and algae being cleaned out for the car big difference love your family and all your animals beautiful place to live thank you for the great show I appreciate it
Glad to see the old cars revived and usable again. I had a 66 Dart 2dr. Cpe. with a 225 slant 6. That thing would lay rubber anywhere. Just held the brake, push down the gas pedal and smoke those 13's. You and your family have a great relationship together and your wife is a be autiful lady.
love to see all the family participation you are truly blessed with a great family.. and i dont know what prompted the use of the tiny hand but it cracks me up every time lol..
I so enjoy you guys!! It's great to see you give these old cars some love. My first car was a 64 Dart. I also love that 60 Rambler. Again, you guys make me laugh and you make it interesting to watch. Don't change a thing!
I personally would like to see you guys restore this one. Paint and all single stage acrylic enamel with Hardner. This is a great start for doing what you do best.
I sure do love these videos. You’ve converted me to a Dart wagon fan! And I’m 100% with you on the SNAKE 🐍 thing. I was yelling at the TV for Tosh to leave it be! OMG. When I was in my 20’s, I went fishing with two buddies and after I walked away from the car, they found a dead snake that was chopped in half. They thought it would be hilarious to place it just under the rocker of the drivers door so I would see the head next to my foot when we were leaving. Sure enough, their plan worked and I about had a heart attack and literally must have jumped 10 feet backwards. Of course they both thought it was just the funniest thing ever. I was not amused and since they were rolling on the ground laughing, I got in the car and left them there. They had to walk back about 3 miles to the campsite! I had the last laugh! That was almost 40 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday! 😊
The dots represent the high point on the tire. It should be oriented 180 across from the valve stem. The DOT numbers indicate the location of the factory they were built in, the size code. And the last 4 digits indicate the week and the year. For instance, 1222 would indicate the tire was built in the 12th week of 2022. Get you a pop up camper and take a road trip.
Yeah it did clean up very well and I have whosh my car 🚗 on Saturday and I have been watching sleeper dude's channel for three months now and I love ❤ what Josh does with his kids drive the cars 🚗 in the yard and I think that Ralphy does love ❤ working with his dad and I have seen Ralphy driving the car 🚗 into the yard from the start of the drive way 😀 😄 😅 and he is very good and very funny as well as Josh
We had a 1965 Dart Station wagon. Lived on a dirt road so we had mud grip tires on the rear. My mother was fearless in that thing. Go through anything. Carried us all over Texas, New Mexico and Colorado with 3 kids and a tent. I thought ours had the 225 engine but I could be wrong. Wasn’t much for speed but could climb Colorado mountains to Elk hunt. Very fond memories of that silly car
That metal on your floor looks like what I've heard called Tennessee v seal. A common metal roof material but not really thick enough for floorplan use. As always, thanks for a great video on a neat car. I love the early compacts!
I really hope you go all the way with this one. You never see red interiors like that anymore. Lastly I vote that should be Mrs. Sleeperdudes official car, a mother driving her kids around in the station wagon pure Americana!
Glad to see you wearing a 😷 When I was a kid we had an upholstery business my mom went to School to learn the trade I sew myself. All you gotta do is keep track of the order of the bars for the headliner. You take paper and make a template and measure alot but it's not that hard to make them headliners the visors are the hardest. You just trim off the couple inches of extra hanging head liner material after you stretch it and contact cement it in place. Get you a cheap industrial sewing machine. Same thing with the seats take the seat apart with a razor blade pop all the stitches and Trace the panels onto your new vinyl or cloth. It's not as hard as you would think I've been watching what y'all can do you could do it easily.
You guys should try the David frieburger comet wash some time, it really seems to take the rust away and allow the older paint to come through! This was awesome to watch I can’t believe how well the ol dart cleaned up!
Great Video Josh. Always enjoy them and get a laugh or two. In Australia we had the slant sixes in our early Valiants. The best engines were the 265 Hemi straight 6 with triple Webber carburettors. The Valiant AP5 or AP6 Safari Wagons were cool, they are equivalent to your Dodge Dart.
You are a rarity in these days. You actually include your children that is admirable. And sorry lacking in society nowadays. You are a wonderful father keep up the good work
Awesome video as always!! Always love seeing family working together And having fun. Wheel's look really good!! Can't go wrong with red! Such a cool car! Yeah I love my harbor freight mounting tire machine. It's paid for it's self over and over!!
Enjoyed this video no end...you hit all my OCD spots..love the cleaning inside and out..most satisfactory..lol And on the floor those are old fashioned ceiling tiles..you would see them on ceilings of old stores..great job..
This car deserves a little fresh paint. I took classes on how to paint a car myself. Something you and your family can learn to do together, that would be COOL!
between you and mortske, I am slowly learning that engines dont HAVE to have 8 cylinders. still my preference, but i am learning! good job once again buddy.
Sweet. She is almost a goin-to-town car. Who needs floorboards? That is extra ventilation, and you get a firsthand look at what you ran over. LOL. Love seeing the whole family working on these projects with you.
Great video Josh, the old girl is GREAT! She really cleaned up well, love that front seat. When you get the new floor pans and quarter panels installed that is going to be one really nice rare little ride! Great how you always get everyone involved. Rocky and the rest of the animals. I even saw the old rooster walking on set when you guys got out the vienna's!
It is so incredible that you have the whole family involved in this project and that they actually WANT to be involved. Y’all are making memories that will last your kids their whole lives. Well done, sir

Yeah I have always been scared to death of them I’m not sure why
And love how you include your whole family in these videos, Awesome buddy
Thank you I am blessed
The old wagons have always been cool IMO
I agree
That’s such a good car. All it’s issues, still runs fine. I do enjoy that you make it all a family project.
Thank you I am blessed
The dots represent the high point on the tire. It should be oriented 180 across from the valve stem. The DOT numbers indicate the location of the factory they were built in, the size code. And the last 4 digits indicate the week and the year. For instance, 1222 would indicate the tire was built in the 12th week of 2022.
Get you a pop up camper and take a road trip.
Ok thanks for the info
You line the dot up with the valve stem radial tires with steel belts should not have run out unless
The tire is defective
This is a kid after my own heart. I love classic cars, and this car was old when I was young. Keep it up. 👍🏾
Thank you
I absolutely love this video not to mention the car as well and thank you so very much for saving it, as I always say long live long roofs👍

That’s awesome
That metal on your floor looks like what I've heard called Tennessee v seal. A common metal roof material but not really thick enough for floorplan use. As always, thanks for a great video on a neat car. I love the early compacts!
Thank you
I really hope you go all the way with this one. You never see red interiors like that anymore. Lastly I vote that should be Mrs. Sleeperdudes official car, a mother driving her kids around in the station wagon pure Americana!
Good idea
Really enjoy your videos you are truly blessed what a lovely family God Bless 💟💟💟💟
Thank you I appreciate it
💟💟💟💟💟
Awesome thank you
You guys should try the David frieburger comet wash some time, it really seems to take the rust away and allow the older paint to come through! This was awesome to watch I can’t believe how well the ol dart cleaned up!
Ok we might try that thank you
Looks amazing with the painted wheels , makes car look 100 times better
I agree thank you
I was questioning the wheels at first but I’ll admit, they work. Looks good on the old girl.
Thank you
Looks like a really great life! God bless you all!
I am blessed thank you
Great Video Josh.
That’s awesome thank you
You are a rarity in these days. You actually include your children that is admirable. And sorry lacking in society nowadays. You are a wonderful father keep up the good work
Thank you I try
Thank you really appreciate it
Awesome video as always!! Always love seeing family working together And having fun. Wheel's look really good!! Can't go wrong with red! Such a cool car! Yeah I love my harbor freight mounting tire machine. It's paid for it's self over and over!!
Thank you yes it has
Enjoyed this video no end...you hit all my OCD spots..love the cleaning inside and out..most satisfactory..lol
And on the floor those are old fashioned ceiling tiles..you would see them on ceilings of old stores..great job..
Awesome thank you
Love the way the casings came out! Nice red to compliment the patina, I wanna see a new exhaust put on this one for sure
Yes thank you
This car deserves a little fresh paint. I took classes on how to paint a car myself. Something you and your family can learn to do together, that would be COOL!
between you and mortske, I am slowly learning that engines dont HAVE to have 8 cylinders. still my preference, but i am learning! good job once again buddy.
Thank you
Sweet. She is almost a goin-to-town car. Who needs floorboards? That is extra ventilation, and you get a firsthand look at what you ran over. LOL. Love seeing the whole family working on these projects with you.
Yes exactly thank you
Great video Josh, the old girl is GREAT! She really cleaned up well, love that front seat. When you get the new floor pans and quarter panels installed that is going to be one really nice rare little ride! Great how you always get everyone involved. Rocky and the rest of the animals. I even saw the old rooster walking on set when you guys got out the vienna's!
Thank you, I think it will
Finally getting a chance to watch this. That is by far my favorite car that you guys have done. Gonna have to get a tire machine like that.
Thanks man I got it from a good friend
