This isn’t always true. There are certain diagnoses that are more likely to come back and come back worse the more pregnancies you have. Not saying that is the case with Colleen’s, but you have an 80% of getting Hyperemesis Gravidarum once you have it. And it gets worse.

Every time after is easier because your body has been through it, it knows what its doing, etc. But I think the moral of the story is you can not predict what each pregnancy will be like and would she take it back

My mum said that my older sister was very hard and stressful because she was the first and my younger sister was very hard and she was very sick but me (the second) was very easy and she wasn’t even convinced she was pregnant and the labour was very quick and easy, but obviously it’s different for all women

Girl, I’m almost 37 weeks pregnant and I have had an almost perfect pregnancy. I’ve had little to no pain whatsoever, never threw up, no morning sickness, no constipation, pretty much nothing... my ankles and feet have been swollen for a few weeks now with the hot weather but I honestly can’t complain about anything. Just because 1 person had a horrible experience doesn’t mean you will :)

Just remember every pregnancy is different. Everyone’s body will respond differently. Their are lots of people who’s first time is terrible and the second isn’t anything like there first. Wish you the best of luck on whichever path you choose in the future 💕
Chances are low unless she gets on top of her mineral issue. I recognize the symptoms as a mineral analysis practitioner but she also has the issue where her toxins don’t go out and they each baby which is also no bueno. Adoption rocks I love that she wants to do it

Yeah I feel like this COULD be the case with her. She was so tiny and obviously not prepping her self for that big of a toll on her body. I'm assuming this is why most people show sooner after being pregnant before?
Now’s actually a perfect time to be pregnant. No touring, no planes. And now that you have Flynn, it will make pregnancy easier to get through because your focus is on him most of the time. You don’t know that the next pregnancy will be the same. I vote baby (also I’m trying to get pregnant). ❤️
I can imagine if she gets pregnant and ends up having complicated symptoms it would be worse to have to go to doctors appointments in this pandemic, and also alone. On top of that if the pre-partum depression comes back, she won't be able to go out and do things to try to alleviate those symptoms like going out to eat or hanging out with family ans friends.

I think she has to remember every pregnancy is different. It might be like her first or it might be easier but you cant compare every pregnancy to be the same
Yeah, and she was super tiny...and typically people who are skinnier during pregnancy tend to have a harder time so now that her hips have widened and her stomach is a bit more beefed up she should be better.

I’m wondering if prior to pregnancy she did exercises to strengthen her body and made diet changes if that would help her with anything. She’s got a small frame and maybe strengthening muscle in certain areas would help it be less painful? Just a thought! No matter what you are supported, Colleen!!

I think he's too young for it now. He doesn't completely understand word for word what Colleen and Erik say to him, so if she told him to not touch it, he probably wouldn't understand and do it anyway
I’m telling you. There is a reason after you have a baby that you forget all the pain and crap you went through. If you feel like it’s heavy on your heart to have another baby by pregnancy, then do it. You will not regret it. You can do this.
I feel like at least half of the extreme symptoms you had while pregnant were there/made worse by you probably being malnourished beforehand. Your body was just barely functioning for itself, and then it had to make a human and majorly struggled to keep up with maintaining growth and nutrients and such. I know you've mentioned that you have always had trouble gaining weight, and I think that lead to you really not being able to handle the stress on your body because, for lack of a better word, you were frail. The question is, now that you've done it once and potentially gotten to a healthier place, would it be significantly better? There's no way to be 100% sure, but I have a feeling it would be. It's all up to you though, and your health is priority!! I think you guys would make great adoptive parents too.
I was wondering the same too. This isn’t to blame Colleen at all because I totally struggle with terrible eating habits. But I can’t help but wonder if her poor diet also has to do with it? (And I mean Colleen herself admits to her less than healthy eating) I know it’s a struggle for me and I’m working everyday to adopt better eating, but I’m sure if I was to be pregnant right now, my body would struggle to find nutrients to give my baby.
Also the touring and doing shows would be so rough on the body. I was pregnant at the same time and I could do almost nothing without my pelvis being horrible so I couldn’t imagine jumping around on stage.
I know that every pregnancy is different for each woman, but I pray that your second will be less traumatic and more joyful. You had the strength to persevere through everything you had to go through to bring your precious son into the world. I can only hope that when the time is right for you, your second pregnancy will bring you nothing but more love that makes you think you’ll spontaneously combust. You are a strong woman!! Yes and right now would be forced to stay home, slow down, and rest because she can't tour. It might be the perfect time. But obviously it's her body and life, and I will watch and support her no matter what she chooses!
My first pregnancy i was miserable. I had prenatal depression and I literally hated every second of it. My second pregnancy I puked like 10+ times a day but seriously i was so happy I didn’t even care. Every pregnancy is different. But most of the list I feel like are pretty typical symptoms. I had a lot of those symptoms with both. But for me the prenatal depression was by far the worst symptom.

Now, I'm not a doctor, but my mom's first baby was nine pounds and the pregnancy was the most horrible thing EVER. Me (the next baby) was only seven pounds. Her skin was already stretched and her body was used to it so it wasn't as bad. She now has 4 kids.

hello everyone! Edit: I strongly believe that one reason colleens pregnancy was so terrible was because she was so skinny and so small (not in a bad way). If she got pregnant again, I think it might be easier bc she isn’t as small as she was before Flynn
sometimes with a first baby, nobody can prepare you for it, so can seen like a huge shock to the body and very uncomfortable. the brain has a fantastic way of forgetting and will use the desire for another to block out the bad parts. let's hope she has another bub xx
I have Type One Diabetes is pregnancy is SO HARD with this disease! Just remember all the pain and trials are temporary. Flynn will be there to remind you of the beautiful outcome you'll have. I have 3 kids and they are all perfectly healthy and happy. Something that helped me with the pain was seeing a chiropractor. There are chiropractors that specialize in pregnant women. I saw a chiropractor consistently with my 1st and 2nd but not with my 3rd (felt too busy). TERRIBLE IDEA! I had never been in so much pain during a pregnancy. I had no idea how much it was helping me until I decided to skip it. Like I couldn't get out of bed. Anyway, good luck, girl! You're strong and you got this!
I had my two sons exactly 11 months apart - January 5th & December 5th if same year. My pregnancies + deliveries were EXACT OPPOSITES. My first, I had several TERRIBLE issues & was high risk, emergency c section + bled out. I literally had EVERY symptom you had during pregnancy. I got pregnant 9 weeks later (& cried A LOT) & I didn’t get sick but one time, I wasn’t in pain 24/7 & my delivery was a BREEZE. 🖤 I’d do it over again 10000 times. My first pregnancy was so terrible I didn’t think I’d ever had more. Now I want all the babies. We’ve been struggling with infertility for 4 years now & waiting on what ever the good Lord gives us. 🖤

Yes! This was my thinking too. I’m not sure the world can handle her being pregnant again. It was miserable for all of us!!! lol!😝 They are amazing parents though & Flynn IS the coolest! They need more. At least 10 more.💗

Pregnancy and deliveries are all different! My first was my hardest, but not so hard that I didn't do it again. My second was easy and exactly by the book. I love and adore my two guys. No longer babies, about to be 21 and 17. The pregnancy is only short term, the life you bring into the world is worth everything! My guys are my world!!
My two pregnancies were night and day different. I was high risk from the start with my first and ended in an emergency c-section, and my second was so smooth sailing and could even have done a vbac if I had wanted, but I didn’t.

Hearing you talk about all of the horrible things you experienced when you were pregnant made my jaw drop, I didn’t hear you talk about several of those things when you were pregnant and I watched your vlog. This is just me asking not assuming anything, by any means. I know Flynn wasn’t planned for that long and you had to only “try” once from what I remember. Do you think if you made sure to have a healthyish/ vitamin filled/ protein filled new meal plan it would help prepare for another baby? Not saying you arent doing that now because I don’t see everything you eat haha. And I know that doesn’t solve every problem and pregnancy brings new symptoms and things. But I wonder if doing that and building up your immune system with vitamins and such would help? Or if you talked to a midwife/ prenatal doctor (if that’s what it’s called) for some tips to help also?? Just some questions I had out of curiosity. My sister is pregnant during this pandemic. And her boyfriend isn’t allowed at doctors appointments. He could only watch his baby over face time, it really sucks. I guess the only positive thing about this pandemic is that my sister has to work from home. So whenever she gets sick, she can lay down
i had a HORRENDOUS pregnancy with my first daughter, i'm 22 weeks with my second and it hasn't been bad at all. I puked for 7 months, lost 25lbs with my first. This time has been a breeze

I can imagine if she gets pregnant and ends up having complicated symptoms it would be worse to have to go to doctors appointments in this pandemic, and also alone. On top of that if the pre-partum depression comes back, she won't be able to go out and do things to try to alleviate those symptoms like going out to eat or hanging out with family ans friends.

Yeah, and she was super tiny...and typically people who are skinnier during pregnancy tend to have a harder time so now that her hips have widened and her stomach is a bit more beefed up she should be better.

I’m wondering if prior to pregnancy she did exercises to strengthen her body and made diet changes if that would help her with anything. She’s got a small frame and maybe strengthening muscle in certain areas would help it be less painful? Just a thought! No matter what you are supported, Colleen!!

I’m telling you. There is a reason after you have a baby that you forget all the pain and crap you went through. If you feel like it’s heavy on your heart to have another baby by pregnancy, then do it. You will not regret it. You can do this.
I feel like at least half of the extreme symptoms you had while pregnant were there/made worse by you probably being malnourished beforehand. Your body was just barely functioning for itself, and then it had to make a human and majorly struggled to keep up with maintaining growth and nutrients and such. I know you've mentioned that you have always had trouble gaining weight, and I think that lead to you really not being able to handle the stress on your body because, for lack of a better word, you were frail. The question is, now that you've done it once and potentially gotten to a healthier place, would it be significantly better? There's no way to be 100% sure, but I have a feeling it would be. It's all up to you though, and your health is priority!! I think you guys would make great adoptive parents too.
I was wondering the same too. This isn’t to blame Colleen at all because I totally struggle with terrible eating habits. But I can’t help but wonder if her poor diet also has to do with it? (And I mean Colleen herself admits to her less than healthy eating) I know it’s a struggle for me and I’m working everyday to adopt better eating, but I’m sure if I was to be pregnant right now, my body would struggle to find nutrients to give my baby.
Also the touring and doing shows would be so rough on the body. I was pregnant at the same time and I could do almost nothing without my pelvis being horrible so I couldn’t imagine jumping around on stage.
I thought the same thing. She did not look healthy before, and she definitely looks better now.

I don’t like talking about other people’s bodies but her weight would have definitely been way under the safe BMI to carry a baby
I know that every pregnancy is different for each woman, but I pray that your second will be less traumatic and more joyful. You had the strength to persevere through everything you had to go through to bring your precious son into the world. I can only hope that when the time is right for you, your second pregnancy will bring you nothing but more love that makes you think you’ll spontaneously combust. You are a strong woman!! You’ve got Erik as your support system, and sweet Flynn as your reminder that even after the darkest of nights, the sun will rise again. 💕💕

My first pregnancy i was miserable. I had prenatal depression and I literally hated every second of it. My second pregnancy I puked like 10+ times a day but seriously i was so happy I didn’t even care. Every pregnancy is different. But most of the list I feel like are pretty typical symptoms. I had a lot of those symptoms with both. But for me the prenatal depression was by far the worst symptom.
I’d talk to a good OBGyn about having another pregnancy.

My sisters first pregnancy was terrible and the rest she said where amazing
Now, I'm not a doctor, but my mom's first baby was nine pounds and the pregnancy was the most horrible thing EVER. Me (the next baby) was only seven pounds. Her skin was already stretched and her body was used to it so it wasn't as bad. She now has 4 kids.
Your body has the hardest time with the first pregnancy, every time after that it’s more and more used to the stretching and hormones :)

I have Type One Diabetes is pregnancy is SO HARD with this disease! Just remember all the pain and trials are temporary. Flynn will be there to remind you of the beautiful outcome you'll have. I have 3 kids and they are all perfectly healthy and happy. Something that helped me with the pain was seeing a chiropractor. There are chiropractors that specialize in pregnant women. I saw a chiropractor consistently with my 1st and 2nd but not with my 3rd (felt too busy). TERRIBLE IDEA! I had never been in so much pain during a pregnancy. I had no idea how much it was helping me until I decided to skip it. Like I couldn't get out of bed. Anyway, good luck, girl! You're strong and you got this!

I had my two sons exactly 11 months apart - January 5th & December 5th if same year. My pregnancies + deliveries were EXACT OPPOSITES. My first, I had several TERRIBLE issues & was high risk, emergency c section + bled out. I literally had EVERY symptom you had during pregnancy. I got pregnant 9 weeks later (& cried A LOT) & I didn’t get sick but one time, I wasn’t in pain 24/7 & my delivery was a BREEZE. 🖤 I’d do it over again 10000 times. My first pregnancy was so terrible I didn’t think I’d ever had more. Now I want all the babies. We’ve been struggling with infertility for 4 years now & waiting on what ever the good Lord gives us. 🖤

Yes! This was my thinking too. I’m not sure the world can handle her being pregnant again. It was miserable for all of us!!! lol!😝 They are amazing parents though & Flynn IS the coolest! They need more. At least 10 more.💗

Pregnancy and deliveries are all different! My first was my hardest, but not so hard that I didn't do it again. My second was easy and exactly by the book. I love and adore my two guys. No longer babies, about to be 21 and 17.
The pregnancy is only short term, the life you bring into the world is worth everything! My guys are my world!!

This is just me asking not assuming anything, by any means. I know Flynn wasn’t planned for that long and you had to only “try” once from what I remember. Do you think if you made sure to have a healthyish/ vitamin filled/ protein filled new meal plan it would help prepare for another baby? Not saying you arent doing that now because I don’t see everything you eat haha. And I know that doesn’t solve every problem and pregnancy brings new symptoms and things. But I wonder if doing that and building up your immune system with vitamins and such would help? Or if you talked to a midwife/ prenatal doctor (if that’s what it’s called) for some tips to help also?? Just some questions I had out of curiosity. My sister is pregnant during this pandemic. And her boyfriend isn’t allowed at doctors appointments. He could only watch his baby over face time, it really sucks. I guess the only positive thing about this pandemic is that my sister has to work from home. So whenever she gets sick, she can lay down
i had a HORRENDOUS pregnancy with my first daughter, i'm 22 weeks with my second and it hasn't been bad at all. I puked for 7 months, lost 25lbs with my first. This time has been a breeze
