Cam awesome rowing, great to see you try on some choppy water. I can definitely see improvement! One thing though, try to exit the water a tad more cleanly maybe. A great exercise for this is rowing squared blades only or if that seems too unstable exiting with square blades and feathering earlier than usual. Really looking forward to seeing you smash it out the park when racing. As always, great stuff, God bless.
I really like your channel. The journal of a high performance rower, without any ego. Really interesting and encouraging for a below-average indoor rower like me. Love it
Super clean catches in the quad! Btw: The approach you described to go hardish on the long steady sessions and consequently suffering from fatigue on the hard stuff is polar opposite (pun intended) to the polarised training idea 😉 But the Aussies and Kiwis do the same, hard long distance work at upper T2 (UT2) into T3 (UT1).
Yeah much easier in the bigger boat! Yes indeed as I've spoke a lot in the past about polarised training it's really intersting to see some very successful athletes not use it and go very fast.
Hey Cameron, I’m 15 years old and I’m a freshman in high school. I have been rowing for about a year now and I’ve noticed that it’s my true passion! I’ve discovered your TH-cam page and I was memorized at the you and the content you make! My current 2k is a 1:51.7 or a 7:26.9 I wanted to see if you could maybe help me out and maybe give me a training plan on the erg so that when I join the Varsity program next year, I will be fit!
Nice place, Zaton north of Šibenik! I've been there almost 20 years ago for a training camp, and can still recognize plenty of the places in this video :-)
Another excellent video Cam, funny watching your light grey tee turn into dark grey in a matter of seconds. Does the towel not unbalance the boat? It seems to be bias to your right hand side (current?)

For sure! Thanks!

Stunning scenery under those blue skies, and you got to row with those red and white chequered blades!
It was an awesome experience!

Wow I am in the exact same situation as you- exact same age, same 2k, and same passion for rowing. Crazy
Yam looks like he is having good time too

Such an amazing experience. Hope you have learnt loads and enjoyed doing it #yamsquad
Looks beautiful!
BTW, I finally broke 6:40 in the 2K...thanks for your inspiration!
Nice work!! 💪
@@CameronBuchan Thx!

Came out quite well! 😂 I suppose it could a little bit as the towel was attached to the right side of footplate and running down right side of stern!
Skradin is nice when it's flat, one of the best places to row for sure.
for rowing at high rates like in the 30s, do you establish a breathing pattern? could you give me any tips for establishing a strong pattern?
It can vary a little for everyone. Even consciously breathing out at the finish can make a big difference
I love the Croatian's technique analysis hahaha
when is your next vid coming out
Get called tf out^
good for u!
Even in calm water sometimes there is a slight bobble to starboard. I haven't really noticed that before. Any ideas as to what's happening?
The bobble is at the catch. Meant to say that the first time.
Handle heights just before the catch. Right hand dips down just before placement. Or left hand placing slightly before right.
Yup, the handle heights are inconsistent at the catch. Something that I have been doing for a while and trying to avoid!
One side of the body is stronger
Great content! Will you be at HRR this year?
Thank you 💪 hopefully!
5:13 I believe it's all sweat

My club is having is father son races in doubles any tips for my dad lol
Enjoy himself!
good work
hahaha the Sinković brothers really said "jebote ko ovo prdi umrit ću" which translates to "f*ck who is farting I'm going to die"
Are those long sessions broken up with a couple minutes break here and there?
To turn yes!
You're crazy guy Valent hahaha
Plase tell us you did not call our Adriatic sea as water so many times. It hurt our ears...
Love you videos ❤️
