The question is how much time is needed to recover. After how many months one is not sleepy during tha day, can walk long distances without being totally exhausted and finally can do endurance sport like riding road bike 120 km and 2500m elevation gain. As he/she had done it before.

Good for you...much of illness is mental. I have CLL and cirrhosis (non alcoholic). I've had uterine cancer. Languishing is not an option.
