    I have that grill. We installed it when we moved into our outdoor kitchen built. It's an awesome grill. One day I went into the back yard after a 4 day work week and heard the grill hissing. I went over and noticed it was on. Dumb me, I left it on HIGH after I cooked some steaks 5 days ago. Temp had the gauge pegged but the grill withstood max heat for 5 days with only a blackening of the face of the thermometer. It also works great for pizza. We got a professional grade stone and it takes about 15 minutes to heat the stone to 575. Slide the pizza on with no cornmeal and 4 minutes later, perfect pizza. The video reminded me it had a light, I've never used it, lol
    It cost more than the home depot specials, it's well worth it!!
    I didn't know you were there. I'm only a few miles away so I may stop by and check you guys out. I'll be the guy loooking for a new delta heat thermometer.
    PS, where is that battery, I've never needed to change it.

      Hello! I'm happy to hear that your Delta Heat Grill has been performing well. Fun fact actually at the Twin Eagles/ Delta Heat headquarters they have a unit that has been burning on high for a number of years without issue. It's a true testament to the quality and craftsmanship of these products!
      There is a battery compartment located under the face on the left side.
      We are happy to help assist you with a new thermometer and anything else you may need. We look forward to seeing you! Happy Grilling!

    I just moved into a house that has a Delta Heat 38 inch. I'm getting really bad flare up, like my food is cooling by literal fire on the food making it really hard to dial it in. More like a fire than flare up. Grill is clean too, I just had it professionally cleaned. Any thoughts?

    I'm trying to find the answer everywhere, but what are the clips are in the drip pan for?

      Another company's site said it is to clip in a match to manually light the grill.

    We have had a Delta unit for years, aside from minor upkeep it has performed flawlessly.
    We use it several times a week and have never had the flare ups others have experienced. Perhaps a little more practice would benefit some.

    How long do you cook the briquettes on average and at what heat to clean them?

    • @GilbertFireplacesBBQs
      @GilbertFireplacesBBQs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! You would cook the briquettes on high for 20-25 minutes to clean them!

    I own a Delta heat 32" grill. Model DHBQ32R-DN. Worst/most expensive grill I've ever owned. I've only used it seven times so far and here's the report... 1. Rotisserie makes a grinding noise. After having to send them video and audio of it making the noise they reluctantly sent me a new rotisserie that does the exact same thing. 2. After seven uses one of the LEDs burned out. 3. It runs way to hot. The only way to even cook anything is on the lowest heat. 4. Worst is that it's actually dangerous. It collects any oils from meats on the bricketts right below the grill, not down in the drip tray. At low heat and even after cleaning (which is almost impossible due to the crappy design) that grease catches on fire. This can happen on any grill, but usually after many uses. Please do yourself a favor and don't buy one of these grills. This is literally the worst purchase I've ever made in my life.

      Sounds like you have the wrong gas type and your burning everything up because its getting to hot , we have never had this issue with a Delta Heat and we sell about 70 a year.

    • @ianragoonanan5814
      @ianragoonanan5814 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree, the main problem with this grill is the briquette tray which catches any and everything, which then causes massive uncontrollable flare ups even on the lowest heat.

    • @datsuntoyy
      @datsuntoyy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I own the grill and don't have any issues. It's an awsome grill. "it runs hot", damn I hate it when a natural gas flame gets hot. Seriously, it's a higher BTU grill than most, IT'S SUPPOSED TO GET HOT!!! You do know there is a knob to control the heat. As for the briquettes, anything between the gas and food is going to catch drippings. The cheap grills have poor briquette coverage and thus poor distrubution. It's by far the best grill I've ever owned.

      @@ianragoonanan5814 After 15 minutes, the briquettes will hold the heat & you need to lower the flame.

    Stick to the best grills on the market, Weber and Napoleon grills, they have the best design for even heat distibution. Most others fail.

    • @GilbertFireplacesBBQs
      @GilbertFireplacesBBQs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are both good grills as well! We've had wonderful results on the Delta Heat grill and our customer feedback has been tremendous. Thanks for the feedback, though! Keep on grilling!

    • @datsuntoyy
      @datsuntoyy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This IS one of the best grills on the market. This one will not fail. Mine didn't even after being left on high for 5 days straight. I've seen the bottom fall out of many a Weber grill.

    • @austin20127707
      @austin20127707 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Delta is in a much higher class than Weber or Napoleon!

    • @ianragoonanan5814
      @ianragoonanan5814 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@austin20127707 Higher class does not mean better heat distribution or better design, just means it's more expensive. But in this case it's not better than Weber. Weber makes better designed grills at a lower cost.

  • @ianragoonanan5814
    @ianragoonanan5814 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is actually one of the worst grills I have used, yes it's expensive, but that does not mean it is good. The problem with this grill is inconsistent heat at different parts of the grill, and secondly the design of the briquette tray causes food, oils, sauce and anything else that falls to be trapped on it causing massive uncontrollable flare ups, even on the lowest heat. Nice grill, but lose the briquette tray, terrible design.

    • @mr.kojack1295
      @mr.kojack1295 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to remove the grates and clean the briquettes once and while. It makes a huge difference. Once I started doing that I had zero issues. Clean your grill bro.

    • @ianragoonanan5814
      @ianragoonanan5814 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mr.kojack1295The grill is always clean, I never grill anything unless the grill is clean. Its just a bad design with that briquette tray. The grills with the flavour bars are a much better design with better results, no flame ups from stuff settling on the briquette tray.

      After the grill heats up, lower the burners and let the radiant heat take over.
