0:08 homie just spit all over it lol wtf
🤣🤷🏻♂️🤦
Shakuuh!!
Bro that's called increased stickiness upgrade, it's not just spit
caught in 4k lmao
The ball even got stuck to it
I would say invest in a small rubber squeegee just to clean this rubber and use nonsticky protective sheets as much as possible. Clean with plain water and the squeegee. Dont use microfiber cloth, no fabric, dont rub it on your towel, nothing but wet hand or the squeegee.
Totally agree. I tell others that they don't need to spend money buying cleaners etc. Just water and a soft sponge will do. I also include non sticky protective sheets for each bat so new players can keep their rubbers safe
nah.....just buy another lmao wtf
@@zkacyy or get sponsored 😅
@@TheBatGuy Make sure you use distilled water. Tap water has minerals that will deposit on the rubber and degrade it faster.
does rubber cleaner kill the tacky?
The guy in the grey hat in the back looks like the final boss with that pose
Haha! I've GOTTA tell him that!
@@TheBatGuyu know him still
@@ShrekIsLoveShrekIsLif3 he's a friend, so, yes ☺️
@@TheBatGuy What’s his name

problem with rubbers like this is that the tackiness wears off even after just a day. youd always have to replace the rubber at regular intervals and depending how much you use. otherwise youd get used to a certain level of "worn-ness" of the sheet which you maybe cant replicate come tournament time.
Oh the initial crazy tackiness of Target-series rubbers always wears off quickly. Which is good because you gain speed but retain the spin capabilities of this rubber. I have a friend who likes Target National rubbers and commented, "A Target is forever" 😆 because the playing capabilities do last for long time - a couple of years even, depending on how often you use it. The top sheet itself gets marks easily but the rubber still plays well regardless
probably intentional though. I would assume it becomes a better rubber after it wears down. Similar to what happens with professional yoyo pads that start a little weird and play perfectly once broken in
You’re right.I’ve given up tackiness rubbers, though I’m in China, you know, almost everyone equips their blades with tackiness ones like Hurricane 3.However,trying to protect tackiness bothered me a lot😅😅
Pros use new rubber and rackets every time, what a good life.
field-tested
I used this 2 years ago. It is an easy to use rubber, but it cannot make deadly shots like i want. I switched to 729 battle ii gold a year later.
729 battle 2 gold is much better than any of the sanwei rubbers. Yinhe Moon Pro is also.
@@wayzooted Yes. Most of my club mates are using Battle II, but a provincial type I guess.
By the way, I'm using a 40 degree DHS Hurricane 3 Provincial on my forehand
Sanwei Target Pro Blue is probably less deadly than their Target National rubber. Wouldn't say that the Pro Blue is an all out offensive rubber😬 - maybe for controlled offense. Nowadays I prefer the Sanwei Gear Hyper anyway. Not the fastest, not the spinniest, not the bounciest, but it is just right for me at this stage.
you need a good technique to have power with the h3 neo, its not easy to use. And also you need booster
@@linyouhan6720 Yeah - I would concur, particularly at higher levels. At amateur level, I think it's fine to use it without a booster though it's likely far easier with boosting. I don't boost myself as I find it troublesome
Love the excited kiddos they're so interested in It lmao
😅 It was like a magic trick to them 🤣
I personally use the rubber, with the protection film, I think the rubber is pretty good, though need to be reglued to have the great bounce.
I used to lightly stretch mine while applying it on the blade too
The kids being fascinated is just wholesome
Such a lovely sight right?
Living in China, I've seen a lot of these types of rubbers. Really great for full power looping and serves, but playability REALLY suffers once the tack wears off. No bounce, no power, no feel, just tack lol
This one is different. The tack will wear off not long after initial play then speed and bounce increases. The target Pro and Target National are both high speed high spin rubbers. Really good for brushing the ball during service
I love the chuckle lol
Anyway, the stickiness was happened by electrostatic after he peeled the plastic layer. Except the surface is actually sticky
So that means ping pong can now be slow mo-ed automatically without the need of high tech editing 😂
I NEVER thought of it this way - excellent idea :D
lol i love how to kids just pop up out of nowhere
Like magic!
my old 729 R.I.T.C. is alot more sticky than that one, I'm having a hard time removing the protective sheet, and I had two bounce with the ball then it stick with it, but this one has two to three bounce. pretty sticky too as expected from Chinese rubbers.
A true classic hard, tacky rubber. I had one 25+ years ago and still like it on some training blades (though for others not training for national teams I'd recommend mid hard or softer blades 😆). My go tos were the 729 Super FX and Globe 999 rubbers
I have a 729 RITC ...I bought it back in 2016... played it a few times and kept it wrapped otherwise... I literally just took it out of the gallon size zip-lock bag and it's like brand new ... sticky as can be... we just got a ping-pong table in our co-op building and my wife (chinese) and 6 year old son and I play every night we can... good times ahead.... can't believe they don't sell that no more ....... good old wet hot rag works wonders... what would be something like that today I can go buy?
@@fastbladeproductions7961 UK TT shops like Bribar stock then but they're quite pricey. Get them from Asia if you can - 729 still sells them and it's still a good training rubber. Thing is, 729 has many different versions. The classic one would likely be the Ritc super fx
Loving my XPR 7 series (gen 3). It’s held up great since I got it
Stickier than a teenager’s sock

@@Horseshoecrabwarrior can't believe it's still ticking away 😄
With my 2 years old H3 I can still hold the ball like this
Especially when it's well taken care of (or after a light application of sunflower oil... 😆)
which version of h3 neo do you have?
@@hadyalbagu8615 I've used provincial for a couple of years and I've tried commercial. Nowadays I don't use NH3 because I started getting shoulder troubles. I've switched to Sanwei Gear Hyper on my fh. My alternative setup has Nittaku Moristo SP on the fh of a Xiom power hinoki
@@TheBatGuy i want to buy hurricane rubber blue sponge but i want it to last for a long time so should i get provincial or national? And which one lasts longer, neo or regular? I Appreciate your reply.
@@hadyalbagu8615 np. When I did my research on the rubbers, orange sponge lasts longer than the blue sponge version. Also, unless you're a very high level player, you won't be able to tell much difference or make full use of the offensive capabilities of the national version.
So, I never got the national for myself. Heck, I've seen those who are in the top 800 rankings use the commercial one just fine.
I remember playing at school, goofing off and pulling people's hair with a sticky racket was a classic
🤣 this one might have gotten them chasing after you real quick
At some point you have to wonder whether they're still making rubber or a slow-creep form of contact cement. You can make a rubber surface essentially infinitely tacky if you don't care about durability or elasticity (retaining energy on bounce vs. dampening), but gotta wonder what the tradeoff is like a few months or a year after playing on it.
actually nice :)
Thanks!
those kids
Now you ready to destroy the guys at Stratford 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha! I might if I was much more skilled but our community has many skilled players around including division one players
Bro these rubbers get more and more crazy
Ikr? 😂 Although, the trend right now is for less tacky rubbers
Random kid : *tries to touch it
cute kids :)
Sanwei and Milky Way are the best value rubbers and therefore so much fun to perform with.
Agreed! I must have spent hundreds of hours researching and trying different budget rubbers and blades for my starter builds. They're great for what you pay for!
@@TheBatGuy i doht play better with more expensive blades since the bottleneck is my FAILS (unforced errs)
@@plunder3624 hah! That's a great, unique way to describe the bottleneck 😂
Galaxy 999T is the stickest Chinese rubber. Nothing compares to it.
Also, 729 Battle 2 is very tacky.
I REALLY like the Globe 999T too. One of my favourite cheap, tacky, spinny rubbers. Monstrous spin. Struggle to use it nowadays since I give myself shoulder troubles
I showed this to my grandma. Now she is furious.
:D
Man, my first real rubber for table tennis and in competition were friendship on forehand and backhand.
I remember the spin and the tackiness were just like this. The speed was lacking tho. Then i went to sriver and it became my goto rubber.
My first was friendship 729 too 😀 When I joined the school team I asked a TT shop what rubber I should get and Sriver was the one so I had the same TT equipment journey as you I think!
I jumped from a wakaba directly to a tenergy 05 on fh and rhyzm p on bh
Now I have mxp on fh and r48 on bh
only watched for the peel and stayed for the rest
Thank you! Watching any part of the video is already helpful
Nice to find you here on TH-cam.
I was researching a little more about these rubbers, despite I'm using Sanwei Target National for a long time now.
I was considering trying other brands, but I would say that I'm pretty satisfied with this one... so, why change?
Anyway, I was researching what other people have to say and accidentally found you. 🙂
Great 😃 I'm also liking the Sanwei Gear Hyper a lot and recently started using a Tibhar Hybrid MK
Best title I've seen in years
😆 thanks!
w mans for ignoring the kids
These kids are so cute 😊
They certainly are :D
Back in the early 80s they used to have rubber that they use for ping-pong paddles it was called friendship rubber it was just as tacky
I grew up using that rubber 😊 Still a good training rubber and continues to be used in clubs all over the world. The 729 Super FX. ⭐🏓
Purple sheet with blue sponge was the best back then
bro didnt let him try
😁😁 she eventually got to try it😅
Is this the stickiest table tennis rubber ever? Lets find out...........

🥴🤭
Yasaka Mark V all the way. That is all I play with since I was 13 years old 😂
Still a good rubber though there are better choices for that price nowadays
@@TheBatGuy
You know I was actually debating it. I picked up a blade called dr. Bauer I think it’s the name it is insane, 64 grams insane. I’m open to suggestions, I play defense and control and low speed is what I look for.
Thanks
@@hormozaslani4309 are you currently playing Mark V on both sides or do you have another combination?
@@TheBatGuy
Mark v both side 1.8mm for the forehand and 1 mm for the backhand I’m a lefty so my backhand is not that great
Does Mark V need speed glue?
729 RITC was the first developer of tacky materials, in response to the needs with China world-class players in the year 1972. We have now got the China secret formula by courtesy of a china engineer attended Russian tyre plant for technical consulting. 0:07
Interesting!
about 30 years ago, Imperial Dingo was a rubber that did the same.
It seems like it's due to static electricity
I like to think it's due to magic ✨
Tro-jian rubbers

Almost fit for Man News
I love this rubber!
Chinese rubber, sticky for sure but after 1 week playing with it is almost over
You just don't know how to take care of your rubbers. 😂
@@joewell7970 not at all, I have dignics 05 and I use them for 5 months without any problem 😉
You need to clean it regularly, preferably with something simple like water and a soft sponge.
@@TheBatGuy i do that with all of my rubbers, and I protect them with a plastic sheet.
@@sega-re-trop-vieuxbro if you havent played with these tacky rubbers why comment? Yes their tackiness does wear off gradually but the rubber's performance gets better as you gain speed
Try Friendship or Double Happiness rubber. They are sticky as well
Yes, they're great options too for classic Chinese sticky (tacky) rubbers
As sticky as the stain on his teeth.
🤣😅
That tackyness lasts for let's say, hm... a couple of hours after you first remove the protective plastic....
That's true - it still remains tacky but not at the level shown in the video. You don't want that level of tackiness in match situations at amateur level anyway - it slows the ball down a lot
@@TheBatGuy But does it make crazy spin or what?
@@TheBatGuy btw which rubber is that
@@farzana6676 Yes, very crazy 😬
@@The_Middle_Class_University it's the Sanwei Target Pro Blue Sponge. It's seemingly tackier than the Sanwei Target National (which is already mad tacky)
The ball is sticking to the rubber because it is flat not because it is sticky
its another effect of things that are really flat like how two pieces of glass
stick together
Interesting theory!
Sticky reduce the speed.....
That's correct - the level of tackiness does go down for this rubber after a week and then it gets fast. The target Pro Blue and target national are both fast rubbers. Definitely faster than the hurricane 3 neo
that's tacky and no joke!
I would love to feel that in action.
I like how it plays - feel the sponge is more elastic than the Sanwei Target National and overall play is more forgiving. It is faster than the H3 Neo and has a very low throw
@@TheBatGuy I just ordered the Target Pro Blue.
How did I end up on table tennis bat protection TH-cam?
😳🤷🏻♂️ the algorithms. It's always the algorithms - I can only guess that it's because it is table tennis related and the opening part of the video shows me removing the plastic that's on all new tacky rubbers
Are there two tables at Stratford again? Last I've been there was only one
Only one at the moment. I've been vocal with Westfield's management about the desire for and the benefits that a second table can bring. Last year was about rebuilding relationships with them due to changes in personnel.
Hopefully there can be more positive changes this year
@@TheBatGuy ah that's a shame, it's a great spot to play but with only one table, there are often massive queues that just don't make it worth the time. What's the point of having a second table taking up space in their storage anyway 🤭Hope the management sees the benefit 👍
@@some_guy___ yeah, hopefully! I'm going to renew conversations soon
Me who uses mouse trap sticky rubber🗿
The black guy in the back wasnt buying it
He's always a cool cucumber :D
I use hurricane 3 rubber and like how tacky it is, I saw this video and bought the same rubber. It wasn’t nearly as tacky and I was disappointed. It’s not bad, but it definitely wasn’t like this video, I still prefer hurricane 3.
Ah - that's a pity! I may have gotten a particularly tacky one in the batch. The Sanwei rubber has a lower throw so if you still prefer the H3, keep using it - it's a good choice for many players
This is ridiculous. The logical conclusion of this process is that I think one day in the future people will be able to just get the ball on their racquet, and then walk over to the other side and drop it on the table.
And yet people complain about the so-called anti-spin rubbers: anti spin does not impart any spin whatsoever, it is non-sticky and minimally grippy.
😅 Would be an interesting variation of the sport perhaps - you'd have to physically stop the other player from touching your side once, perhaps twice
Which rubber is this? Brand and type plz?
Sanwei Target Pro Blue sponge
Wow
Cameraman just had to spit on the paddle.
Haha! That was me (unintentionally!!!) rather than the cameraman 🤣
Yes that rubber is abnormal
😆Possibly abnormally normally sticky
After few hours it is no more stickie :-)
: ) Wasn't this level of tackiness after a few hours but it was definitely still sticky
it has to do with the layer over it at the beginning. it was a little like that for me in when i got a new one and it just goes back to normal when it dries out
why is an empty inverted glass difficult to pull out of the water, is it glued? Same case with rubber.
Very sticky rubber :)
@@TheBatGuy The clean pores of new rubber make it the same as an empty glass in water. so it sticks to the ball like glass to water. not because of the glue concept like in the video
@@TheBatGuy So don't play in dusty places, if you don't want the rubber pores to fill with dust and get dirty. pores filled with dust are the same as a glass full of water, no longer sticky.
@@etelinhia water and a soft sponge helps to restore our rubbers at this table location but yeah, dust and dirt aren't great for table tennis rubbers
Is there any rubber glue for
table tennis rackets?
Yes, there are several good brands around and you'd be looking for something called VOC-free glue (to comply with current table tennis regulations).
Each table tennis brand has their own glue offering.
I use Revolution No.3 table tennis glue for all my builds
I sprt of sumbled on this video. What's the benefit of having the paddle that sticky?
Easy spin generation from a simple flick of the wrist plus these theoretically help you lift backspin a bit more easily.
Do you boost the rubber?
Nope. Never boost my rubbers - too troublesome for me and it's the kind of thing you'd need to do regularly once you start, so I chose to avoid it
@@TheBatGuy ok, thanks!
Why is no one saying about the spit when he says "oohh" at 00:08
Ahem.... 🤭🤐🥴🙊 *pretends to be invisible*
Idk if that’s even allowed on official events to begin with tbh
Might as well put double sided sticky tape on the black side if one wants that much stickiness on their racket/paddle
Hah :D it's very much legal. It's an ITTF-approved rubber. People can use it in league matches and higher-level matches
Based on a quick peak on my neck of the woods regulations, this sort of thing is a clear violation from what I’m seeing tbh.
The surface with this much adhesion is a clear violation since this significantly changes the characteristics of the surface in comparison to sanctioned official equipment.
Why hasn’t this sort of racket (and like it) been seen in any official leagues capacity yet if this falls within guidelines?
Nah, this isn't the only sticky tacky rubber around. As long as a rubber is ITTF approved, anyone can use them in sanctioned tournaments
@@jonathannoconnope, it doesnt change the characteristics and gameplay of table tennis nearly as much as it look to

Yes, it is ITTF-approved
Imagine how hard you have to hit the ball for it to go to the pther side of the table
Not hard because the sponge is also more elastic than the classic 'dead Chinese rubber' feel of older rubbers ☺️
Is it glue? Or just grip?
Just the grip of the rubber :D No extra glue was applied - as you can see from me taking off the cover 😁
Cool now play with it
I did for quite a while before switching to the Sanwei Gear Hyper for my forehand. It's a semi tacky rubber so nowhere near as sticky as the Sanwei Target Pro Blue in the video though! 😆
