- Hey guys! Enjoy this EPIC guitar battle between Punk Rock and Metal music! Important notice! I didn't separate punk to subgenres like Pop Punk, Hardcore Punk, Post-Hardcore Punk and so on. And I didn't separate metal music to subgenres either. You can hear Heavy Metal, Alternative Metal, Power Metal and etc. but I just want you to enjoy the video and I really hope you'll like it. I thought I was a punk girl, but now I know I'm a metal and punk girl, both genres are great.

punk influenced metal a lot, especially thrash and death metal
Slayer have a entire album covering hard core punk and mettalica have coverd punk stuff like Free speech for the dumb, last caress/green hell and crash course in brain surgery

I’m the opposite, I practically exclusively listen to punk but System of a Down and Neurosis are two metal bands I’ll listen to
@@podomuss SOAD and Neurosis are good bands. For punk I like Sex Pistols, Black Flag, Misfits, Bad Brains, Green Day, and The Gallows. Fear is a good band too.
The young me loved The Exploited . I remember going to Carnaby Street in London age 16 and getting so many cool t-shirts . Back before the internet delivered the world to your front door 👍

Чес гря, мне не очень прям заходят их тексты, да и голос иногда не очень.. но что касается музыки, то я тащуся. Даже из более позднего. Русская рулетка, философия, раздвоение, климат, серый бетон и тд... Вот можно было бы сделать подборку лучших гитарных рифов.. особенно интересно было бы взглянуть, как играется песня раздвоение.

Do you use anything to record the guitars actual audio because I record with my phone and it doesn’t sound as crisp ??
I'd assume he has his guitar plugged into something that is recording it
I don't know how he does it, but generally you run the guitar through a computer interface that converts the guitar signal into something the computer can use.
Another option would be to mic an amp, where you just run your guitar into an amp with a microphone in front of it and run the mic to your computer interface

I know nothing about how music is actually made but it seems like the difference between punk and metal is like an submachine gun vs a shotgun. Punk seems to flow more smooth and homogenous while metal kinda hits you in chunks
Punk is also waaaay more focused on power chords! My favourite kinda chords tbh

I'm still confused on what's the difference. I can tell there is a difference in the music tone but I don't know how to describe it.
punk is more simple and repetitive, has 18th note feel, and metal uses a lower tone, and is complex, the muted strings then playing, spacing between power chord, its more metal.

You know what the difference between Punk and Heavy Metal is? NOTHING! It's all just Heavy Rock to me and I find categories absurd. Listen to the classic Motorhead 'Ace of Spades' album and try to categorise it, I bet you can't.
