re 27:44 - hyperinflation. QTM suggests there are 3 factors to inflation, production, money supply, and the velocity of money. Tho' the money supply has vastly increased, the velocity of money has been at long-term lows. This appears to be b/c the newly created reserves are trapped withing banks due to re-regulation, tests and reserve definition changes,, and is not loaned nor in circulation. One way of viewing this is that we've had massive inflation due to the increased money supply,, but the inflation is restricted to T.Bonds & bills !
