In 1970s airline travel wasn't a commodity service, it was almost glamorous. Today it's an ordinary commodity. Not comparable. You could compare it with private jets if you want

Growth is not optional, it's the moral consequences of economic growth, you can't opt out of it.

@Ajit Kirpekar Yup, that is my argument, Growth is creative destruction, and destruction causes short term pain, but long term gain. What we don't want, however, is perpetual destruction, at that point, we simply become cancerous to the planet.

he forgot an important component: investing in basic math and science research. We invest too much in applied research and not enough in basic math and science, even though the former cannot live without the latter

America may have a good number of Danes - but with a difference. Our Danes aren't working 28 hour weeks and saving their income. They're living as parasites on someone (maybe parents) and hoping that they don't get sick. More of our "Danes" are living a stagnant life style because they don't have a choice. With housing and medical costs so high, it's not easy to have a spouse and 2 kids and work 30 hours a week. One question not really posed here is what to do with the massive individual wealth being accumulated by the very few when they die. Do we really want a hereditary aristocracy?

47:20 to make the exceptionalism of the USA-Israel relationship last, in the face of the expectations linked to the digitization of relations, it would be generous to grant Israel-Usa dual nationality to Israelis of Jewish religion who would wish to do so, in order to prepare, in case of conflict, a peaceful evacuation, not like the last time in Europe.
The future of Israel is with America, it is finished with Europe, Russia & the Muslim countries ...

Andreesenian goods vs Smithian goods - Google it. Productivity doesn't handle "free" goods well
