Retirement is soon and for us a 2013-2017 Newell mid entry quad slide is the ticket. I shopped both and while yes a prevost is nice and well done the Newells are on a whole next level. Prevost you take a bus and make it a motorcoach. A Newell was designed as a motorcoach a huge difference. The interior room on Newell is crazy plus having the driver and passenger seats available as living area makes a huge difference. The other thing after driving both the Newell with comfort steer and steerable tag axle is again much better than Prevost.
If ever I were fortunate enough to be in this market, the Prevost would be the only option for me. With a coach that large and heavy, I want something designed first and foremost to be safe rolling down the highway at speed.
@@rnordquest not saying it's unsafe by any means, but I was a professional driver for many years and I know the testing that the Prevost chassis has undergone to prove it's safety for passenger carrier service. RV chassis are not held to the same standard.
I really like the front end design of the Prevost. Also the storage bays seem a lot easier to load and unload as opening are bigger, even if they are a quad slide.
Remember Prevost, who designed as a bus to transport people plus all their luggage, that's why there's more luggage space. If you had the money I would strongly recommend Newell, it's built to your specifications. Both a great motorhomes with my preference would be Newell every time. I'd like to make one correction, they both have engines not Motors. Motors are electric, engines are combustible. As of yet you cannot by either one of these coaches with the motor. Today is June 10th 2022.
Great Video Andrew, and so much information with Brad. I have personally reached out to Brad and he responded immediately and was a wealth of knowledge and so nice. You can't go wrong with this company and what they have in the showroom. Thanks for bringing this to all of us out here in TH-cam land. I hope you are having a great day.
Obviously the Newell is flashier, more exotic, more custom. The Prevost chassis really depend which builder is building it, if it will be as nice as a Newell. But the Newell is the hot rod of the RV world.
I have learned so much about these RV’s. In would really like to see some of the “high end” super C’s thrown into the mix. Some Renegades, Showhauler, etc.
Seems to me that Newell is for the very experienced high end coach buyer. People who have learned over time their specific wants and needs that may not be standard fare for most coach builders. There seems to be nothing that Newell won't do, for those willing to pay. Nice upload, quite interesting, many thanks Andrew.👍
Newell is all about customization and that's the nost important thing when you're buying a new motorhome as first owner in my opinion. If I'm buying an used one (especially more than 10 years old) i probably choose Prevost over Newell because it has timeless design with so little differences. Also old Newells don't look pretty as the lastest P50 model i think. Great video as always. Be safe Andrew.
Love these videos with real expert discussions. Personally I like Newell better, but if I was using it for business such as a band or race car driver, I'd go for the Prevost for the storage.
It's like Brad said, It depends on if you value the space more in the basement or the salon. I personally love the tall ceilings and quad slides in the Newell not to mention all the custom built to order details from the ground up, not just a build out on an existing shell. The devil is in the details and it sounds like Newell has improved immensely to the level of Prevost or greater.......Great comparison video Andrew! Can't wait to upgrade to one of those babies!!!
Great interview, he answered all the questions complete. Very courteous for an owner of a company, sometimes they rush through everything. Great information 👍🏻
Newell v prevost. Being 6 ft 5" I would take interior head room over luggage space height. While I will never own either 😭 It appeared to me you buy a prevost ,and then with experience you have a Newell built for you,to your exact spec's. 👍
Andrew I commented on one of your videos about the difference of a prevost and a Newell. I really appreciate your grind… Don’t ever stop your grind💯💯💯💯
Every time I see Brad I just get more and more impressed by his knowledge and easy going way of dealing with business. It’s also quite staggering that he insists on the quality of the products that he sells after his company finishes with them. Top dude 👍🏻😉
What an objective review! First, he selects an H-series Prevost instead of an X, and then spends the majority of the review complaining about the low driver position and reduced headroom in the Prevost (the latter about 6 times), when choosing an X-series Prevost would mitigate these complaints. There is, in fact, no discussion of the X series whatsoever, and he says that's the headroom you're going to find "in a Prevost." Look at many of the comments--so many people are unaware that the X series even exists, much less recognize the headroom difference, and believe all Prevosts have the H-series headroom. He says the Newell power plant is "night and day" better when the Prevost's Series 60 has been arguably the best truck engine in the industry for two decades. Ask a truck mechanic. The interiors of both are almost entirely custom, yet he points to the decor, layout, and bedroom size as problematic when it represents the build choices of the original owner and doesn't represent either manufacturer. And virtually everything he pointed out in the Prevost interior, other than the much larger windows, represents the converter, not Prevost. Finally, how about discussing safety? Stainless chassis construction vs unfinished steel? The Prevost structure and chassis (that center windshield post has a purpose!)? Bradley's review was approximately as balanced as a news report on MSNBC, and he did a disservice to first-time buyers by conflating the interior amenities with the chassis manufacturer. If the intent were to compare Prevost and Newell, the review should have been on the chassis, drivetrain, reliability and driveability and stopped there. And if the intent were to discuss interiors, it should have been between Newell and Liberty Coach, not Prevost. Apples and oranges.
One comparison I’d love to see is usability of space while underway on the road… can a passenger even get to the rear washroom in a quad slide when retracted ? One thing I was alway told was to see the coaches with slides in first to determine if the floor plan still works.
Oh the cabinets from the top are longer and I like that because they looked more proposition to the down cabinets , it looks more even , more smarter !.
To me it is important to remember that the Prevost was designed to go down the road and carry passengers. Thousands were produced and errors of design were corrected. They were slow into the slide market because they felt it was a compromise to safety. Newell on the other hand was more of an extended experiment. They could be innovative vs. Prevost but with very limited numbers and less engineering they were at risk with the innovations. I will say what comes from several metal barns on the north side of Miami, Oklahoma is truly amazing and it seems to get better with time. Detroit diesel is almost bullet proof but I do not see the same with Cummings. That is just opinion but it comes with more than a decade of DD ownership. If its all about the chassis, I would give the edge to Prevost. But either one has more than its share of issues. One guy put it right on the back of his fiberglass wonder “little boy’s toys - grown man’s nightmare”.
The Cummins is as good a engine as you get today. I'm not a expert in these coaches as there all out of my price range but wouldn't this be more equal if they compared a Liberty coach.
Andrew, If you think of these questions as you going, (Spontaneously) You are my Hero! This is Why You are the best in the Business! When I grow up I want to be just like you! PS: I'm 62 so I'm looking for a time machine! ;^)
Really enjoyed the information content. Thanks so much for doing this one..been waiting to hear the comparison from an experienced owner of both units.
Andrew - I had heard that the Prevost has it all over the Newell relative to safety and structural integrity, with the example being the framed windshield and the aluminum structure throughout. Any validity to this?
Ford versus Chevy. In this instance it's more Lamborghini versus Ferrari. Both are great. The only differences that I can see is Cummins versus Volvo, mid entry door option on a Newell, an Aluminum skin on a Newell versus stainless steel or fiberglass on a Prevost. You will see very few 4 slide Prevost's out there, mostly 2 slides. Newell does a whole lot more 4 slides. Take your pick. My personal preference is Newell.
Knows this is an older (2 years ago) video but one comment in here made me scratch my head. In talking about how they drive the comment was they are both fine like a Rolls Royce and Bentley. I, in particular, question that. First of all, everyone I have talked to say both are ok but Prevost is the better ride. Newell is completely customizable, Prevost is the better vehicle. Given Volvo is in charge Prevost, that is believable. Wish he had just said that. Then going into the comparison. I got a Bentley Flying Spur 2 years ago. Didn't test drive it as it was in Texas and the deal on it was great. I have another high end car (S65 coupe which sadly isn't made anymore) which I also got in Texas but in this case I test drove. It (the S65) is an amazing car and served as a comparison for the Bentley. Got the Bentley delivered. The interior is gorgeous. Better than the S65 but not by too much. The driving dynamics are horrid on the Bentley. So much so, I took it in to the local dealer to see if there was something wrong with it. It came back that no, nothing was wrong, thats just the way Bentleys are made to drive. Got an offer on it 6 months later that somehow was 15k more than I purchased it for so I got rid of it as fast as I could. Going back to the comparison here. Just because the name is great, doesn't mean everything about it has to be great. In this case if you said it was Bentley versus Rolls in the driving dynamics case< i would interpret to be one is better than the other which wasn't the intended meaning. Final point of this section, I love this channel but it seems to have become mostly all Newell cheerleading all the time. It is ok to say negative things about products that are otherwise great. The driving dynamics of the Newell is fine, from what I heard, but just not as good as Prevost. It is all about tradeoffs. Prevost isn't as flexible as Newell in design.

I'm not 6 foot anything, but the headroom in the Prevost is almost a deal breaker. Damn, and I think the Prevost is cooler looking, too. Plus, I don't know if Newell is made to drive a million miles like a Prevost.
Newell is better on the inside it even looks more like a home and the bedroom. If i ever hit the lottery I could definitely see the country with this one
Personally, I think 'visually' I much prefer the Prevost over Newell... As for 'slides', it doesn't really matter if we're talking 3 slides or 4...IMHO, the more slides there are, the more chance of something (motor/track) breaking..! ;-) If you truly want a 'custom coach', *Featherlite* gets my vote! :-)
My Uncle wants to know if you can buy a Newell without the slide outs? FYI: When Prevost had Detroit engines, the company was owned by GM then sold to Diamler, the parent company of Mercedes, Freightliner and Western Star. For Newell, Caterpillar got out of the truck and bus engine business due to the new emission headaches in the trucking industry. Now each truck manufacturer use Cummins or their own engines.
I'm 6' 5" tall so Id have to go with the Newell ... While they are both beautiful coaches, I think there are more overall benefits to the Newell Coaches.
The Prevost Semi-Monocoque structure can limit some space options vs the Newel. The Prevost is built for both luxury and stamina. It is nothing for a Prevost to be in service for millions of miles. They have a very good support network. Both are beautiful and both have something for each buyer…..
LOL, because of this channel, I am probably the most Coach educated and UNDERqualified buyer! :D
lol
I love the Newell product. But if someone gave me a Prevost, I'd take it and be grateful.
Right! Because that's the only way you'll see me in either one!
Retirement is soon and for us a 2013-2017 Newell mid entry quad slide is the ticket. I shopped both and while yes a prevost is nice and well done the Newells are on a whole next level. The other thing after driving both the Newell with comfort steer and steerable tag axle is again much better than Prevost.
I love that Newell island bed! I haven't seen that before. It's a very nautical design. It does eat up the space - but it's more convenient.
If ever I were fortunate enough to be in this market, the Prevost would be the only option for me. With a coach that large and heavy, I want something designed first and foremost to be safe rolling down the highway at speed.
So what makes you think the Newell unsafe? The most unsafe part on either coach is the driver.
@@rnordquest not saying it's unsafe by any means, but I was a professional driver for many years and I know the testing that the Prevost chassis has undergone to prove it's safety for passenger carrier service. RV chassis are not held to the same standard.

I just need that red AMG in the middle only such a beautiful thing!!!
Wow! I used to be good friends with Brad. I always wondered where he ended up & now I know. Pretty cool.
Prevost only because of the engine. Have had too many issues over the years with Cummins. Great video once again. Brads a cool guy.
Great Video Andrew, and so much information with Brad. I have personally reached out to Brad and he responded immediately and was a wealth of knowledge and so nice. From a mechanical / construction standpoint, if the Prevost is built to Canadian-winter operational standards, it has no competition.
I have learned so much about these RV’s. In would really like to see some of the “high end” super C’s thrown into the mix. Some Renegades, Showhauler, etc.
That would be like testing a Mercedes Benz against a Bentley and a Rolls-Royce. The Class Cs don't hold a candle to these guys.
Seems to me that Newell is for the very experienced high end coach buyer. People who have learned over time their specific wants and needs that may not be standard fare for most coach builders. There seems to be nothing that Newell won't do, for those willing to pay.

PERFECT!!! Thank you, Andrew! We've been oscillating back & forth between buying a Marathon or a Newell. You read our minds! 👍🏼

OKH
Great job working on this one. So interesting on differences. Both coaches are knock outs.
Newell is almost 100% custom made, except for the engine/transmission and the axles/rims/tires!

Andrew, great video! The Prevost is nice but the Newell is fantastic.
Good info. Love the interior on the Prevost but the space on the Newell. Either way I’m going to need a driver. 😎
Kathy can I reply please, I have 40 years experience driving Prevost tour coaches and have owned and driven two Prevost motor homes
Thank you for the comparison walk through. Helps me make my decision.
Andrew, If you think of these questions as you going, (Spontaneously) You are my Hero! This is Why You are the best in the Business! When I grow up I want to be just like you! PS: I'm 62 so I'm looking for a time machine! ;^)
We just love your videos and all the experts in the business you share with us..take care Andrew.
Newell all the way
1)Which has better insulation for colder climate's?
2)Which has greater concern bridge height restrictions?
Really enjoyed the information content. Thanks so much for doing this one..been waiting to hear the comparison from an experienced owner of both units.
Really enjoyed the back and forth comparison.
A bit of whiplash for me. But always very informative
Both are top of the food chain. No owner will ever use either to its limit.
Both beautiful rigs but I’ll take the Newell.
Thank you for this excellent video and interview! The MotorCoach Store and Brad impress me. Terrific! Have a great day!
For me, I would choose more living space over storage. But everyone has different priorities
Correct. You'll have many more hours living time than driving time.
Andrew - I had heard that the Prevost has it all over the Newell relative to safety and structural integrity, with the example being the framed windshield and the aluminum structure throughout. Any validity to this?

100% agree. I’m going for a Newell due to the ability to have it completely customized to match my home. On top of that? The space!!
A brand new Newell is my mansion on wheels choice for owning a dealership of them . King of the road with a grin within Amen.

Good video, jumped back and forth a bit much. But always fun.
Those are older models. What about the newer ones from 2020 and newer?
Beautiful anniversary Trans Am
Andrew I like the bunk version with two full baths that Newell make
I like the 2022 red version of the latest sport version of the Newell. 👍
I'm not 6 foot anything, but the headroom in the Prevost is almost a deal breaker. Damn, and I think the Prevost is cooler looking, too. Plus, I don't know if Newell is made to drive a million miles like a Prevost.
Nice video Andrew. Can’t go wrong with either one of them!
The X3 Prevost addresses the headroom issue.
High quality review good job guys
First comparison video I've seen. Living space i would think is where you get your moneys worth.
I love them both they are very beautiful motorhomes ♥️💓☺️☺️
I would take the Newell. I like the motor and the interior height
Next time please walk through with all slides in so we can how it looks going down the road. Thanks
Great vlog Andrew

Great vid Andrew. Now I know some of the major differences between the two.
i love both of them they are beautiful
Love the comparison, great video Andrew.
Both of them are a beautiful 😍❤️ MotorCoach and them both have a beautiful 😍❤️ paint 🎨 scheme
Builder vs converter! Newell all day!
I owner a Prevost XL 2 I love the silverside much better.
Also the exterior is all Stainless steel and Newell is Aluminum..just saying.
I imagine that if you don’t want the hassle of customizing, go with a Liberty Prevo. If you want customization, Newell seems the best bet.
informative video. however, I'd like to see such a video on 2021 models, rarher than these older types.
Newell is better on the inside it even looks more like a home and the bedroom. If i ever hit the lottery I could definitely see the country with this one
Stunning!
OKH
Just as an FYI, I have seen 3 different mid entry Marathons (Prevost H3) in the wild.
If you go back to 2009 I know one other coach that started out as 2 I beams on a jig.
Yep. And I've got one them too Christopher.
Liberty coach does servicing in Chicago and sales in Stuart
Thank you universe 🙏
Andrew I have a glasses on my nose , Stas had beautiful taste!.
Personally, I think 'visually' I much prefer the Prevost over Newell...
As for 'slides', it doesn't really matter if we're talking 3 slides or 4...IMHO, the more slides there are, the more chance of something (motor/track) breaking..! ;-)
If you truly want a 'custom coach', *Featherlite* gets my vote! :-)
More RV Videos Awesome
The key for me is serving availability. I think Prevost has a much larger network? Would love to know who’s best in case of emergency/Breakdowns
Ok now I'm back to Newell.
Newell hands down!
Great vid Andy
Newell for the win.
Yes, some Super C's as well. Curious, and hit on the gas mileage along with drive-ability. Thks, A
Prevost! The X!
Frigin awesome stuff!
Does either of them use acoustic glass? Dual pane laminated?
Great video!
I like the VA Newell Coach 👍🏾✝️💒⛪📖🙏🏾
My Uncle wants to know if you can buy a Newell without the slide outs?

Yes
I'm 6' 5" tall so Id have to go with the Newell ... While they are both beautiful coaches, I think there are more overall benefits to the Newell Coaches.

I've learned alot here thnk you Andrew 🙏
The Prevost Semi-Monocoque structure can limit some space options vs the Newel. The Prevost is built for both luxury and stamina. It is nothing for a Prevost to be in service for millions of miles. They have a very good support network. Both are beautiful and both have something for each buyer…..
