@@irmahernandezaranda4300 I make a similar cake and what I do is prebake the base for 10 minutes and cool it down before I put the prepared fruit in.At times the fruit is too wet and does not set as the ones she used it needs to be quite stiff. Hope this helps. Happy baking.
I made this today and put almond extract in the dough and it went beautifully with the cherries, but I had to add more sugar to the compote mixture. I also added a 1/2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to the meringue at the initial frothy stage to provide good structure to the meringue. I'll be making this again

Mine just came out ot the oven. I used blueberries I had on hand instead of cherries. I also could not locate the pan you used, so I used a bundt cake pan and it came out amazing! I havent't tasted it as I am taking it to moms for motheres day. thanks for the great recipe.

Just made this and it's really good. I used a bundt pan and canned cherry pie filling. I added some other frozen berries and then it wasn't thick enough so I added some corn starch. Turned out perfectly.

About 20 years ago I had a dream of a cake like this one I have been wondering what kind of cake it was. I thought possibly a baked cheesecake. But it wasn’t dry, but still baked.

Also, I watched a similar video before this from a different youtube channel (your's and their's were recommended by google), and it did not do a good job explaining their recipe. They also made the recipe steps needlessly complex, and had no fruit in their cake. Your video was perfectly done! Thanks to you, I now understand how to make this cake and look forward to shocking my family with this surprise! I haven't baked in years, and my teenager doesn't even know I can do something like this. Thank you so much for giving me the confidence to make this cake. Plus a huge thank you for giving me a homemade treat that I can show my teenager, who has many deadly food allergies, that they can make such delicious allergy-safe foods for themselves into their adult lifetime. Most kids in our current days don't even realize how delicious homemade baked desserts can be, they've never had anything like it. I was a little kid in the 1970s and still recall having to wait 1-2 hours for homemade dinners to cook (no instant microwave), and homemade desserts. Unfortunately I've been stuck in a cooking rut of sticking too close to basics like allergy-safe main dishes, vegetables, homemade breads, and whole fruits. Time to expand our list of homemade desserts with this cake! My cooking list needs to grow!! And same for my teenager (a male who is of course more interested in video games than learning how to cook) knowing how to cook is essential for a person with so many food allergies! I've been letting them get away with taking things easy for too long! Then again, I don't have a kid who is usually interested in sweets, and does eat well with whole veggies, fruits, simple perfectly tender, juicy meats (I cook sous vide. Always perfect proteins. And 24hr sous vide ribs are sheer perfection and crazy easy to make!). We are in Southern California and our fields, hills, and mountains are completely covered with those yellow pom pom looking flowers in your video! It has been quite a beautiful year here after our very, very heavy winter rains after years of drought and seemingly dead brown ground everywhere for the past few years. This year literally everywhere has magically sprouted into endless carpets of flowers, purple lupine, those yellow pom pom flowers in your video, tall willowy canola seed flowers (I recall seeing those also when I visited Germany once), fragrant white desert lilies, desert sage, citrus, and an endless array of other plants, bushes, and trees. The pictures of here don't do it justice, the mountains are currently yellow from such a thick density of flowers, especially those flowers that are in your video. Springtime is so beautiful! And now all of us in the northern hemisphere are all coming into my favorite season: naturally fresh fruits & produce! Nature is such a delight! Also, I watched a similar video before this from a different youtube channel (your's and their's were recommended by google), and it did not do a good job explaining their recipe. They also made the recipe steps needlessly complex, and had no fruit in their cake. Your video was perfectly done! Thanks to you, I now understand how to make this cake and look forward to shocking my family with this surprise! I haven't baked in years, and my teenager doesn't even know I can do something like this. Thank you so much for giving me the confidence to make this cake. Plus a huge thank you for giving me a homemade treat that I can show my teenager, who has many deadly food allergies, that they can make such delicious allergy-safe foods for themselves into their adult lifetime. Most kids in our current days don't even realize how delicious homemade baked desserts can be, they've never had anything like it. I was a little kid in the 1970s and still recall having to wait 1-2 hours for homemade dinners to cook (no instant microwave), and homemade desserts. Unfortunately I've been stuck in a cooking rut of sticking too close to basics like allergy-safe main dishes, vegetables, homemade breads, and whole fruits. Time to expand our list of homemade desserts with this cake! My cooking list needs to grow!! And same for my teenager (a male who is of course more interested in video games than learning how to cook) knowing how to cook is essential for a person with so many food allergies! I've been letting them get away with taking things easy for too long! Then again, I don't have a kid who is usually interested in sweets, and does eat well with whole veggies, fruits, simple perfectly tender, juicy meats (I cook sous vide. Always perfect proteins. And 24hr sous vide ribs are sheer perfection and crazy easy to make!).
We are in Southern California and our fields, hills, and mountains are completely covered with those yellow pom pom looking flowers in your video! It has been quite a beautiful year here after our very, very heavy winter rains after years of drought and seemingly dead brown ground everywhere for the past few years. This year literally everywhere has magically sprouted into endless carpets of flowers, purple lupine, those yellow pom pom flowers in your video, tall willowy canola seed flowers (I recall seeing those also when I visited Germany once), fragrant white desert lilies, desert sage, citrus, and an endless array of other plants, bushes, and trees. The pictures of here don't do it justice, the mountains are currently yellow from such a thick density of flowers, especially those flowers that are in your video. Springtime is so beautiful!
And now all of us in the northern hemisphere are all coming into my favorite season: naturally fresh fruits & produce! Nature is such a delight!
And adding your recipe to my family's weekend will make things even brighter!

It is better to serve it room temperature. So after the oven let it stay on the table a couple of hours. I cut it hot but it is not the best variant.
