I’m currently studying right now, removing a tattoo from behind my neck, I’m excited about the path for me. I’ve been slacking on studying but knowing I want to qualify for a variety of jobs this video was raw and made me motivated to stay strict on studying my ASVAB. Wish me luck!
I followed your link through the fb group! I do have a question, I just finished getting an associates in the medical feild (lab tech). I actually want to continue that path but not sure how to go about it. Any advice?
Hey! My advice would be to see what jobs in the AF Reserves could help you further that type of training. You can get your school paid for with you GI Bill just for serving so if you land a job that coincides with your current civilian job goals, great, that will help a ton without any extra cost from your own pocket. Even if you cant land a job that is similar to your civilian job though, you can serve in any roll part time as a reservist, keep your current civilian job and just benefit from the education allowances down the road to continue but for free instead of your own dime. I definitely suggest talking to a Reserve recruiter and explain your situation, goals etc and see what they recommend! The cool part about reserves is you can enlist, go to training, serve part time as something related or unrelated to your civilian job and still get education benefits and free training. win win.
When I was at BMT we were the first class to be offered the vaccine in order to then remove masks two weeks later… I did not elect to do that and it’s been a year or next month since I’ve been to basic training so I’m not sure what the current climate is. We were not allowed to have anybody come to our graduation either

Do you get any health benefits for being reserved?
