Collection skins are always a pretty solid investments, especially when rare skins from that collection are popular/expensive. Few years ago I bought 50$ worth of mac-10s propaganda for 2.7$ each, figured it was a good deal since they trade up to glock emerald. Ended up slowly selling them for 20$+ I think I made a total of 300$ with that 50$ investment. I'm pretty sure rn these mac-10s sell even higher. Collection skins grow slowly but surely as long as the collection has good demand.
keep in mind that it has the 7/8th highest market cap out of any item in cs (tied with awp asiimov ft) and the skins with a higher one are the fn dlore and gungnir. trade up skins will always give the best roi, industrial grade usually being the best

Bought a ssg red stone FN two years ago for 3 dollars as a meme, i came back a month ago and now its worth 20 dollars. Not that high but i was like wtf when i saw it
@@iamjermcs can you review some bigger investors (different types) so we can see what others are doing, maybe start with yourself? Warts and all, I'm sometimes more interested in what went wrong
The hardest part to me about investing in limited time collection skins, is that the prices are going to only keep growing. I regret selling many of those, when seeing the prices years later... So I have no answer to the question, when to sell these?
You make me feel like a genius I've been making attempts at some higher tier trade ups in the control collection, 98% profitable trade ups btw and I have had really good luck with it so far and plan to hold some of the more sought after skins as well as a particular trade up filler, keeping things a bit ambigious but honestly its not hard to find out what im doing, I will delete this comment soon just because less competition is better for me, I really feel like you and I are kind of on the same wavelength, I also love the control collection, specifically the berries and cherries, a mostly blue pattern to me looks more appealing than a five seven blue gem, I also ended up nabbing a few sunset wave patches at your behest and got them at an incredibly good price ($24 each)
No one in their right mind is upgrading to classified from consumer grade.. Sit there and do the math and see just how many consumer grade skins you'd need to do that. Even if you did trade up contracts with just 1 skin from the control collection and got stupidly lucky with the correct upgrade every time, you'd still lose money lol.
There’s a lot of math that goes into doing trade ups proficiently and making it profitable. I’ve made a lot of money from doing upgrades similar to this with spending a fraction of what I would just buying these skins outright.
i must say im #1 blue phosphor hater but ye these collections are very good investments and got pretty interesting skins too I rly like to use old collection skins like (hades, moon in libra and like anodized gunmetal) but I also got bunch of havoc stuff the r8 and galil and they slowly all going up i remember i bought the moon in libra nova like not even week ago and even picked up better float one so over market and the lowest listed is already more than that

This is 100% this is all this dude tries to do dunno why anyone listens to him

Yeah bro I’m trying to make my 25 army sheens go up!!! If I pump hard enough I might make $2.50!!!
Showing how dumb you are lmao
I’ll filter it for you
This guy annoys me so much
Man I really hope valve doesn’t blow it for the investors.. at this rate, I feel like skin collectors are the only one keeping this game going.

When you in profit and need the money
Sell when you are ready to cash out and want/need money. Otherwise you HOLD
Stack Up too 2000 Skins of the Collection 🆙 back in 2021/22
Great video, my investment inventory is now just riptide/broken fang/shattered web cases.
operation trade up skins are my fav to invest in. some of my greatest returns have been on them.
bought 8x Crime Scene FN in september 2023 xd
Grab sealed cases and stickers, hold them til they don't drop often. Also hold common trade up items. Thank me later

@@namancool29 I don't want to give any specifics for obvious reasons but I can tell you they are within the control collection

Wrong, people will absolutely do trade ups if they are remotely profitable.

I have 150 low floats between This and the aug surv
I’ve been collecting Anubis skins for just in case they actually get rid of the Anubis skin
think its a lost cause its been around for some long
Really good for a high margin of profit.
imo certain patterns of the Icarus fell are wayyyyy better than the blue phosphor. I have one myself and feel like they’re pretty underrated.
Nah the new model paired with a simple but shiny color will ensure the phosphor will age like wine compared to Icarus.
