David (Yawt), congratulations on your new record hog. Your trapping skills are unparalleled and now you’ve added the night vision shooting. Great combination! Our buddies from the hunting club told me this video was coming out and to be watching for it; I’m certainly not disappointed that’s for sure!
What a great service that you are providing. And you are right about not wanting a monster like this 350 lb. in your back yard or any yard in any community
WTG Yawt Yawt!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Keeping the community safe there, that beast could cause a child or anyone some ill harm. Enjoy watching you!!! Keep it up. From a spinal disabled Kansas older lady. Take care of you back young man. GOD BLESS YOU & YOURS!
@palmarolavlklingholm9684 I guess you don't understand how dangerous these hogs are. Let alone how they'll tear up your yard. These wild, invasive hogs have no problem attacking and eating your pets. Also, nobody is "shooting in-between houses." They are out in the woods and are excellent marksmen. If you're going to take the time to comment, at least check your spelling! Now, sit down!
@@palmarolavlklingholm9684you obviously don’t know what’s going on here…I guess some people just don’t get it. Thats ok buddy, you might get lucky one day and figure it out.
In the summer of 86 when I graduated I moved to Louisiana for several months to stay with my aunt before going to school in the fall. I worked part time at International Paper and had time to do outdoors stuff with both my cousins. We went squirrel hunting at this place that the state had gotten a large portion of it from an older gentleman that passed away and didn’t have family that wanted to deal with it. He had domestic hogs when he was alive. He has passed away back in the mid to late 70s and the few buildings were in bad shape at the time. The state just let the hogs run ferrel instead of trapping them or getting rid of them some other way. Anyway my cousin said to take a sidearm in case I encountered any. My uncle was a big pew pew collector and he had every caliber Ruger Blackhawk they made. I strapped up a .41 magnum thinking I was Wyatt Earp. Lol. I walked around awhile and out to my side here they come trotting along. There was at least 25 of them. They all were dark red or mixed with red and brown and black. They didn’t look anything like you’re trapping or Sniping like now. They didn’t get close enough for me to worry. Not sure if they would have done anything anyway but I was ready. Spur giggling sounds when I walked that how ready I was. Lol. Great video !

I have a few suggestions about dealing with the dump bed when trying to load those heavy hogs. I noticed one comment that suggested getting a power dump which would be great if it worked in both directions, but I think it most likely would only be designed for lifting the bed. I'll start with the cheapest option first. Get a short piece of chain with a hook designed to catch the chain and wrap it around the winch bar and through the choker or just wrap a short piece of chain with a hook hanging permanently around the bar if you don't mind the rattling. Then release the tension on the winch and then hook the winch cable to the feet of the hog(s) and pull the back end up to remove some of the load on the end of the bed. Next, you will need Red to help on the other options since it will require some fabrication. I don't know what kind of room you have under the bed since I've never looked at one of these side by sides, so that will play a big part. You can get a brake winch and mount it under the bed and have Red place a piece of angle or square tubing inside the front of the bed to connect it to. He would then need to fab up an extension to the outside with a removable handle to operate the winch. I saw some 1500lb capacity brake winches online made by Fulton that would work great. My hunting buddy and I used them on 55gal drum deer feeders when we used to hunt and they work fantastic and are a lot safer than standard winches. Next and last option would be to use another power winch instead of the hand winch. The only problem in my opinion would be that I would add another battery if possible. I don't think the charging system on the side by side is designed for much load and would really benefit from an extra battery, preferably a deep cycle. One other tip not relevant to the side by side but for your big trailer. I would get a strap or something made to daisy chain more of those hogs together when you have to drag them onto the trailer. It would save a lot of hassle and I'm sure Red could come up with some way to keep the hooks or cables from snagging on the gate and bed of the trailer. Good luck and take care of your back. I have degenerative disc disease in most of my spine and can no longer walk without crutches or a walker.
David, great hunting! I'm so glad for you and all of the work you put into it. Make sure you take care of you, before taking on your superhero persona. God bless and protect you and your family.😊❤
