Wow! This is like my dream haul! lol that will last for a long long time. I found 60 packs of bacon once and had the same sentiments. If they killed the animal already, the worst thing is for it to be wasted in the dumpster. Great job!
I think the same thing. That would be the best explanation as far as I'm concerned. I work at a grocery store and that would be somewhat easy to do depending on who was taking out the trash. Sometimes the manager opens the door but he doesn't supervise the trash take out. I can't tell you how many times I helped with the trash and the manager was up at the front of the store.
Jacquelyn Anderson I agree. Plus I would think the folks at the warehouse who pack the meat would keep only one type of meat in a box to avoid cross contamination? Just a thought. Great find!!!
I use my huge tabletop turkey roaster to cook ground beef, drain the grease, store the cooked beef in quart or gallon freezer bags, patted flat so bags can be stacked. A timesaver and space saver!
Tip: chuck roast recipe- brown the roast with sliced onions on both sides, deglaze the pan and add to a crockpot. Add water, a chopped sliced onion, salt, pepper and cook on Low overnight. I batch / bulk cook my entrees overnight with 2-3 crockpots and freeze in ziplock bags the next day. By cooking ahead of time, Dinner is always ready to pull out of the freezers.Good haul, Frugal family, you did good! ❤️
I love your channel. You are so blessed to be in an environment where your dumpster diving is continuously generous! My area is not as lucrative. God bless you. The universe hears what you need and sends you amazing gifts!
OMG... Lololol. That moment when he looks at the camera as she says BYOB. LOLOLOL I love these videos... The freezer probably stopped working and when that happens they throw EVERYTHING out....awesome finds frugal dad
Aldi probably threw it out for the same reason mine discounted a bunch of meat. When the weather was bad and they didn't sell as much as projected they had to clear out stock even though they were well within date. They get meat shipments daily and if they don't sell as projected they ditch "old stuff". I recently bought a bunch of chicken for $4 off per package, and paid less than a $0.50 per package. I bought it for my husband, I'm a vegetarian.
This just blew me away~! Meats are so expensive to buy, and I cook all winter for my dogs, they would love having fresh meat in their diet. Frugal Daddy you rock~!
With that gorgeous meat in unopened boxes seems to be the actions of a worker who was going to grab it later, well haha frugal daddy used his ninja skills to get there first! Hope you enjoyed it.🛍️🛒🛍️🛒🛍️
Best score ever!!!! Wow what a blessing to add to your freezes, I see chilli and chicken enchiladas!! That bourbon meat in s low cooker with potatoes. Yum!!
My aunt told a very sad story about being a hungry little girl during the depression. She and two friends, (also hungry) were walking home from school, when they saw an old barn that one of them knew to be a smokehouse. They snuck in, and she said there was a ham hanging, where they could reach it. She said it was warm, and kind of green and slimy, and had bugs swarming all around it, but they all dug in and ate it. She said it did not taste good at all, but they ate a lot of it. She couldn't sleep that night, worrying that she would die in her sleep. When she grew up, and told her mother, she was told that the man who was smoking that meat was dirty, and never knew what he was doing, and none of the locals ever bought meat from him. But, she never even got sick. I think of that story all the time. I left eggs in the car one day, and was about to throw them out, when my dad said "When I was a kid, the eggs sat under the hen in the not hen house, until someone went out and got 'em." Not saying you can't get sick, but it's probably rare. You guys rock!
Never in my life have I seen them much food in the dumpster... I food like 10 packages of bologna and ham sandwich meat like 10 maybe and 4 or 5 sausage links and like 11 lunchables..tasted one to see if was good.. yep.
A Spanish recipe: You need Chicken thighs, potatoes, 2 onions, salt (pinch), Black pepper (lots). Pint of stock either home made or using a chicken stock cube. 6 garlic cloves. A large oven proof container. Method: place thighs in the dish. Roughly chop onions. Peel and quarter 4 potatoes. Arrange potatoes and onions, whole garlic cloves in and around the chicken. Season and pour over stock. Cover dish with either lid or foil. Cook at 140 degrees for 40 mins. Serve with crusty bread. I also add Spanish Colorante to the stock, or you could use half teaspoon of turmeric. It is a very Rustic recipe but easy and delicious.
All mine are locked also!! I've gone to Aldi quite a few times and got decent hauls, but nothing like what she finds! While it's not replacing my grocery shopping, it has supplemented. I've spent much less already.
Wholly Cows! What an amazing catch. Just read a Facebook post today bashing on tilapia. Not a fish eater myself. But those chuck roasts!!!!! Instant Pot heaven baby! Gave my wife an instant pot for Christmas, awesome way to cook a roast :~)
Do you ever can meat? I know someone with 8 children between 6ys to 20 ys old + 1 grand child. When she gets good deals on meat she will can ground beef seasoned for tacos, chili, italian food, sloppy joes, meat balls, even hamburger patties. She also cans roast beef and pork roasts. Nothing goes to waste in her home. Good huntin' Frugal Daddy!
I’m diabetic and believe in the Atkins diet I actually lost 110 pounds five years ago. You basically struck gold there geez meat is extremely expensive. Glad you were able to not just find that but save it. Love ur channel you two are so cute together ♥️
Toss those chuck roast in crockpot and walk away chica!!! ;) I couldn't lovecu guys more if I actually knew u in person!!! I sooo wish I were ur neighbor! Just LOVE LOVE LOVE you guys! You're sooo much fun!!!
Ditto with this thinking ~ cause the boxes do not have the same meats in each box, I think they packaged up stuff their friends liked and planned on delivering it to each friend.
Haha you and Frugal daddy should open a burger stand this summer! Lol You might want to check for a recall just to be on the safe side. Maybe they have a staff member tossing it in the dumpster and then stealing it after work. Congrats on getting to 1000 subscribers!
Financial Freedom for Real People I would make a bunch of meatballs in the oven on cookie sheets then freeze them. Then you could use them for spaghetti and meatballs, hawaian meatballs, meatball subs, meatballs and gravy over potatoes, cook them in cream of mushroom soup.......lol so many things. The girls can bring them in a thermos to school. I would grill all the boneless chicken and have it ready for salads, wraps, quesadillas....
I have to ask,has this meat been kept cold? How long did it sit in that dumpster? This is scary. Ive had salmonella food poisoning from a Hot Pocket i paid for at local grocery store. They had been havn freezer issues. I ended up in the hosp for several days from dehydration. I had cdiff at same time. 🤢. I do not want to go thru food poisoning again.
This is the best haul ever. This is top meat just great. I would so enjoy a big pack of pork chops cooked up right now. In 2022 we don't have much meat to buy in stores. I eat meat about once a week now. I can't afford it either.
Jackpot! Since Im a few days late watching this video I'm assuming Frugal Daddy lived, so maybe a case or two could be donated to a food pantry or homeless shelter. Just a thought.
Unbelievable haul. Meat is so expensive. That's a great find. You can make chicken tacos or use the hamburger for lots of things. Tacos, sloppy joes, etc.
Chicken thighs are awesome! So much more tasty than the breast meat. Love them baked with bbq sauce. I am so amazed at how much meat was thrown out and so happy your family will put it to use!
Baked a chuck roast in the oven it'll come out so tender it'll Fall Apart the only reason that stuff was in the dumpster was because the one that was supposed to put it out had a hangover and didn't want to put it out on display
Did you check recalls? If no recalls dang...its an amazing haul. Jealous!! Probably bout $1000 in meat esp. Roasts with seasons in it. 93/7 is awesome...extra lean.
It makes me so ANGRY to think of all the food, particularly all the meat that is thrown into landfills. And I am sure that I can't even imagine the quantities of that...
Oh My Word!!!! HOW WONDERFUL! When we come to visit at least you can feed us for nothing, we will bring our own buns for those tasty burgers you will make us so don't worry about that! BUT i do worry about your diet plan.... it does seem as though you won't be going hungry anytime soon!!!! Oh That dumpster diving sure paid off for you today and i'm so happy for you! If we'd found that meat we would have had to have gone out and BOUGHT a freezer to put it all in!
We had to reorganize the freezers to deal with it all, which was good reminder of what all was in there. He actually went back on got more a half hour ago.
Just 2 weeks ago I found a whole case of hamburger meat 95% lean meat and the date was still good for 6 days and we have been eating on it and it was fine. But with all that I would defently can some of it .It will last for up to 3 to 4 years..
Ground beef has not expired, it was RECALLED for contamination. Hope you regularly check the recalls on food, hundreds of items get recalled weekly. So the use by date means nothing if the store throws the stuff away for contamination. Cooking does not kill some bacteria, and definitely does not remove metal or plastic contaminates in the food.
I love it when she said ~ "we will test it on the Frugal Daddy first then maybe the dog". Love that.
Wow! This is like my dream haul! lol that will last for a long long time. I found 60 packs of bacon once and had the same sentiments. If they killed the animal already, the worst thing is for it to be wasted in the dumpster. Great job!
That's a LOT of bacon!!
I think someone who worked at that store had that meat in that dumpster to steal and this guy got to it first and got that blessing.
Maybe. I dunno. It was a LOT of meat. I think the manager would have noticed.
That's what I was thinking too
.lol. oh well
I think the same thing.
Yep...big problem in PHX. Good...frugal daddy foiled em!!
Is there any change in flavor when you do that?
Salute to both of you, There should be no food be thrown, alot of people starve, it is sad to see all of this blessings being thrown out..😟
Tip: chuck roast recipe- brown the roast with sliced onions on both sides, deglaze the pan and add to a crockpot. Add water, a chopped sliced onion, salt, pepper and cook on Low overnight. I batch / bulk cook my entrees overnight with 2-3 crockpots and freeze in ziplock bags the next day. I love your channel. You are so blessed to be in an environment where your dumpster diving is continuously generous! My area is not as lucrative. God bless you. The universe hears what you need and sends you amazing gifts!
The state police caught me in a dumpster all they said was be careful
That is so cool!
That’s disgusting not to be offensive I understand if you need help feeding your family kinda sad
XENO BLAZE disgusting? Disgusting is good food going to the landfill. Sheesh
and true l agree with you friend
OMG... Lololol. That moment when he looks at the camera as she says BYOB. LOLOLOL I love these videos... The freezer probably stopped working and when that happens they throw EVERYTHING out....awesome finds frugal dad
Awesome score. You are so right about the embarrassing part, once you bring home a big haul it's like who cares.
you can freeze hamburger meat before expiration date up to a year. you can freeze turkey up to 6 months and chicken and ham 6 months
I hate to admit it but we have consumed meat out of my mother's freezer that expired 4 years ago and it was fine!!!
I am very glad to hear this. We cooked some hamburger last night and it seemed just fine. usually you can tell by the smell if it is going off.
This just blew me away~! Meats are so expensive to buy, and I cook all winter for my dogs, they would love having fresh meat in their diet. Frugal Daddy you rock~!
I just wanted to mention that fish is so expensive and my oldest daughter has allergies. The universe is really blessing you!!
AMAZING! This is quite inspiring. I like how frugal daddy said "You get over the nervousness when you're bringing home $600-$1,000 worth of meat."
You guys are 2 cute together. Very inspiring!
OOOOOOOOMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGG!!!! You guys are killing me! LOL...I MUST try this...and thighs are SOOOO versatile
With that gorgeous meat in unopened boxes seems to be the actions of a worker who was going to grab it later, well haha frugal daddy used his ninja skills to get there first! Hope you enjoyed it.🛍️🛒🛍️🛒🛍️
Please be careful with the hamburger meat. There has been recalls of hamburger meat posted lately.
Catherine Wood Pretty sure that recalls have to be sent back to the company they came from.
I have watched so many of your videos and it makes me want to dumpster dive more and more!!!
You can take that chicken or hamburger and saute it with your vegetables and make all kinds of different meals.
You all inspire me in so many ways! Thank you for sharing your videos!
AW THAT'S SO SWEET OF YOU!
I agree. They are very inspiring.
Best score ever!!!! Wow what a blessing to add to your freezes, I see chilli and chicken enchiladas!! That bourbon meat in s low cooker with potatoes. Yum!!
Gratz on getting 1k so now I'm watching in full to ensure your watch time minutes. Nice video btw...

Unbelievable. I'm going to have start diving.

That is a great, albeit really gross, story about the ham. I am amazed she didn't get sick!
Such a waste. Thank goodness for dumpster divers. We save so much that would end up in the landfill.
If only Corporations understood this and the police didnt harass anyone.
Never in my life have I seen them much food in the dumpster... I food like 10 packages of bologna and ham sandwich meat like 10 maybe and 4 or 5 sausage links and like 11 lunchables..tasted one to see if was good.. yep.

Wow! Great find.
I have never seen a Walmart dumpster that wasnt locked. Where do you fi d these things?
All mine are locked also!! I've gone to Aldi quite a few times and got decent hauls, but nothing like what she finds! While it's not replacing my grocery shopping, it has supplemented. I've spent much less already.
Wholly Cows! What an amazing catch. Just read a Facebook post today bashing on tilapia. Not a fish eater myself. But those chuck roasts!!!!! Instant Pot heaven baby! Gave my wife an instant pot for Christmas, awesome way to cook a roast :~)
If we don't eat he fish, I can always just cook it up for the cats. My husband went back later and got chicken breasts and more roasts!
Wow!!! Amazing finds!! I was laughing constantly "we'll test it on frugal daddy" 😂
Me encantan ustedes...Son tan lindos y felices😀❤💙
Do you ever can meat? I know someone with 8 children between 6ys to 20 ys old + 1 grand child. I have not done any canning. I need to learn how. With the meat, we usually freeze it.
I’m diabetic and believe in the Atkins diet I actually lost 110 pounds five years ago. You basically struck gold there geez meat is extremely expensive. Glad you were able to not just find that but save it. Love ur channel you two are so cute together ♥️

thank you! I googled for a recall but did not come up with anything.
Financial Freedom for Real People I would make a bunch of meatballs in the oven on cookie sheets then freeze them. I agree someone was planning to steal. Awesome haul.
Do you have a walk-in freezer?
OMG that is fantastic!! Go Frugal Daddy!!! I gotta start dumpster diving!!!
Do y’all check for recalls as well? I always think when I find unexpired food it must be recalls but it never is when I check…

How much do you guys eat
Omg. That was terrific find
Chuck roast. Omg. Love some
Chuck roast but in crock put with potatoes, carrots and celery. 2 cups water, for 4 hours on high, yummy.
Lmao YOU MADE ME LOL WHEN YOU SAID MAYBE THIS MIGHT FINALY KILL US
Michelle Torres she is hilarious.
This is the best haul ever. This is top meat just great. I would so enjoy a big pack of pork chops cooked up right now. In 2022 we don't have much meat to buy in stores. I eat meat about once a week now. I can't afford it either.

I should call and find out their feelings on accepting dumpster food. research to be done!
Holy moley!! What a great haul!!! I think you hvae enough meat for mot of the rest of this year!! WOWZERS!!
Big. No large score. That was awsome.
Y'all make me laugh...great videos...
Thanks!!
WOW what a score! I wish I found that to cook for my dogs.
Unbelievable haul. Meat is so expensive. That's a great find. You can make chicken tacos or use the hamburger for lots of things. Tacos, sloppy joes, etc.

You are so right that all those animals died not to rot in a land fill!!!
Just freeze it. And give some too family and friends.
Did you check recalls? If no recalls dang...its an amazing haul. Jealous!! Probably bout $1000 in meat esp. Roasts with seasons in it. 93/7 is awesome...extra lean.
Tacos for sure !!!! Fresh vegies and chicken tacos yum
Could have been a recall on Hamburger meat. Chuck roast cook with potato, carrots, onions. broccoli is yummy on the side.
All of this meat was eaten up a long time ago! So if there was a recall, we lived through it!!!
Wow that was crazy, once you have cooked it you can freeze it for up to6 months.
Good job Frugal Daddy!!
It makes me so ANGRY to think of all the food, particularly all the meat that is thrown into landfills. And I am sure that I can't even imagine the quantities of that...

One gallon Ziploc Freezer bags, seperate meat, freeze, use as needed!!!
frugal daddy listen to your wife....stop eating bad food...
you are important...
I love your videos and both of you 😘😘😘
Awesome score guys, y'all be eating good lol
You can either freeze your meat for awhile or you can make some meals for so many days and freeze
I worked at aldis for 7 years and they throw away the meat 3 days before it expires, the bread is 2 days I believe and milk is 2 days.
Ground beef has not expired, it was RECALLED for contamination. Hope you regularly check the recalls on food, hundreds of items get recalled weekly. So the use by date means nothing if the store throws the stuff away for contamination. Cooking does not kill some bacteria, and definitely does not remove metal or plastic contaminates in the food.
tell me more of the metal and plastic...
Recalled meat has to be sent back to the point of packaging. They can't throw it in the dumpster.
@@deathrowtodisneyworld5030 that's not true
Can frugal daddy do a mukbang if you score big with meats, that will be fun!
Yummy Chuck roast will be very tender cut up yes slow cooker or else tuff!! I do beef stew
PS still binge watching you started this lol in Drs waiting room I was watching lol
I think yale are great !! Leep up the good work !.
God is blessing you
Amen!!!
It is much better to cook the mince up, drain all the fats off then freeze. This will make it last much longer in the freezer.
spaghetti sauce..chili beans .etc
