    A dumpster diver once said that no one will ever be able to convince me that food that's thrown away will do more for a landfill than keeping my children from going hungry.

      it's a shame few store employees agree with you. Most feel a great sense of satisfaction locking bins, destroying/contaminating food so no one can possibly benefit.

    Tonight I found 12lbs of cheese, 2 turkey breast roasts, 5 different kinds of snack crackers, eggs, noodles, 2 different kinds of sauce, onions, peppers, mushrooms, 6 quarts of blueberries, 3 pints raspberrys, strawberries, and so so much more. I haven't spent a penny on groceries in 3 months. Not a single thing I found tonight is expired. The amount of waste I see is staggering and I'm happy to scavenge our share. Be safe beautiful divers.

    I understand dumpster diving. PLEASE do not let these crazy people who do not understand. I have bought food that I had to return or throw away as it was spoiled in the middle and you could not see it until you bought it. I wish I could dumpster dive again. Stores are throwing away mass amounts of food and making so much money they can afford to do it. ITS criminal what they are doing to us. Landfills are full of lovely food and new items. That is the crime. What stores are doing to people. Bless you for what you do. Hugs to all of you. I admire you so much. We are all just inches away from being homeless or helpless while these companies become fat. Remember the government shut dow? How many people were hungry? Anyone who judges you are sad. We spend over 500 a month for two people and I am frugal. That is a crime. LOVE you and your channel. Thank you. You are my hero's.

    I think dumpster diving is the smartest and money saving venture. I think our economy would save money by designating excess that's not sellable to donate to the soup kitchens or for whoever would need help feeding their families by anonymous donors. Can you guys imagine how much money you save for a year? lm all in for you guys,it's not disgusting or icky,it's rather genius. Keep up the good work guys.Thanks to you guys,ur helping America keep the landfills less polluted.Plus if stores would donate their leftovers to soup kitchens or families that have shut ins,volunteers could drop the excess and save the extra food as a tax deduction.

    DUMPSTER DIVERS!!! WE ROCK!...I traveled to Florida last month and I got food poisoning from steak and shake from eating 2 onion rings. I haven't ever gotten food poisoning from food that I've gotten from dumpster diving...

    I just started dumpster diving a couple of days ago. My first place I went to was an Aldi's store. There were fresh green beans that I couldn't reach but on top of them were hanging potted plants. They were a little wilted but I took them home and now they are starting to perk up really well. As a bonus, I also walked away with a 12 pack of Aldi's Cola. 2 of the cans had already opened and drained but the other ten were perfect.
    Today was my second time. I work third shift so after work I stopped by The Dollar Store but there dumpster was empty. I also checked next door at the local Subway but their garbage was just too raunchy to sift through so I didn't have any luck there either. My last stop was a small grocery store across town which I had a little more luck at. I am not getting the jackpot loads like you guys are but to me I hit the jackpot. I got 3 boxes of Little Debbie Fudge Rounds, 2 boxes of Sunbelt Strawberry breakfast bars and 1 box of Little Debbie Apple Pies. I love to keep snacks in my reading room and these are going to be perfect! This will save me about $15 on my groceries as my other snack are almost all gone and need to be replenished. I can't wait to start saving even more! Thanks for the videos and the inspiration to get started. I love saving money since it is so hard to make these days.

    so i wonder what is the store owner's reasoning for throwing brand new items into a dumpster. that is super frustrating

    • @tracylongest384
      @tracylongest384 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My husband is a Truck Driver and sometimes when they deliver to a store, there is an extra case(s) that the store did not order and the company doesn't want to pay to have it sent back so it's thrown in the garbage if the driver doesn't want it neither. It's sad because it's all perfectly good stuff.

      That's a very real fear/possibility. I just watched 2 different uploaders & the one found taxidermied animals (5) in I think a CVS dumpstet. These things were absolutely horrible & the uploadets think (as I do) these were dumped by a trafficking ring..& another fella fpund teeth that he couldn't identity what they came from in a box of odds n ends he found at someone's curb. Be really caeeful if you are going to do this.

    @Freakin Frugal- I just wanted to say that my man and I went dumpster diving for the first time. He was a little scared but I'm the bolder one,lol. To make a long story short, we had bananas, strawberries, 8 bags of organic oranges, a bag of lemons, granny apples, steaks, cheeses, 1 dozen of eggs, and 1 cage free eggs!! So much free findings!! I have saved so much money!! (Even though I had to spend for a rental car, it was well worth it!!) Also I blessed my family with food!!
