Brother im also a video editor i have to say one thing don't charge below 500 because u have to consider a software subscription price and the time ur spending to make that reel and u used ur skill to make it right so don't charge below 500 if u don't have a portfolio u can charge low but if u have it charge high and make a standard don't go below that standard charge 500 for normal and minimal fx videos and charge 800-1k for motion graphic and animations. If u charge low it will affect other editor career so plz dont do that.
@NEWYEAR-ir2sr I get that brother but in my case I use free software CapCut pc and iam doing this as a parttime work as well iam in college for a video it takes upto 1 - 2 hrs for me to edit a reel upto 1 min footage and I have only a single laptop for me 200 - 250 is good enough for me if I have to charge 500 I need be professional in this field and I need to work as a full time editor and also for beginners it’s a good start in my pov 🤝
