What a great video, you have inspired me to make a small layout board with my two little ones! Railway of course being me! Loving the videos and advice. Kind regards Tim
Great video Mel and what a lovely family you have there. Those tiles look really good and would be great if you were short on space, but still wanted a variety of playing terrains.
"Never work with kids and animals" Exactly the first thing I thought of when Willow is on camera, lol! She's a scene stealer for sure. Gonna be an actress when she grows up? Great idea for tiles. I can see grown up kids using this idea too. Just make the bumpers raised an inch and they'll keep dice off the floor. This could work for any of those foam terrain hex-tile systems too.
Nicely done, dad. I'm not that handy, but I might have to contemplate doing something similar for my kid. I like how your board restricts the moving and shifting of the tiles. I'm trying to think of a practical way one could place a similar setup next to the first to double the size of your map without losing the rigidity of the pieces.
Thanks for the inspiration. The terra tiles look great and absolutly the right thing for my kids too. I wonder what kind of games your children play with those? I found average wargames too complicated and long for my kids.
That was great, though your kids needs to work on their "crack ons" and "watchamacallits". The tiles look pretty cool too... another kickstarter for me to back? By the way, your royalty free music works so well so the fast forward bits on this; like like watching some cool kiddies TV show.
great to see the family build stuff and enjoy it. but shouldnt you make a hole in the table to push up on tile from below? just to make getting them out easier
Thank you for being an awesome example of a great father and involving your kids in your projects! It's such an inspiration.
So many ways to teach kids with hands on approach . Gives them confidence to try anything and open the minds

+watsonsd1 i'd go with weight edge strips, straight and zigzag. That way, they'll fit any size board and hold everything together
Nice work as always
+Jonathan Tucker Cheers buddy
