This was really nice. Brought something out of me I didn't realize was there. Thank you!
Man, that was *almost* there. If that had resolved to tonic, that ending would have been smooooth.... Nice track. Cool changes.
Pessoal, tem um erro na cifra dos acordes deste vídeo, o acorde final da progressão que esta sendo tocado não é um Gaug7 e sim um F#aug7. Até porque G7 não resolve em Bm, F#7 sim.
I agree!
Lovely laid back track. Nice. However, I think there's small error in transcription in the chords of the turnaround. The bass actually goes back down to F#, so I reckon it should read G | F#7 | G7 | F#7aug (not G7aug). It sounds great though.
Thank you for your comment. I was puzzled about that G7+. Now it makes sense. It sounds great.
I really dig this track, You have a way of playing and putting these together, like no one else. Total ear candy!
Yo that guitar in the thumb is so pretty. I'm in love
I like so many others have been trying to sort the scales out. B dorian is the strongest over the E9 section part of progression. I tend to think in Modal shapes, during the Chorus part i use F# Phyrgian, and when it modulates to the augment i use Diminished. What i am trying to wrap my head around however is the fact that for most of the song F# Phyrgian works and there are large swaths of the verse where B Dorian does fit, but it only really fits over that E9
F# Phrygian has the same notes as B Aeolian. Which is what the chorus of this particular track outlines. B Dorian for the verses, B Aeolian for the chorus.
How can you have a g major chord when there is no G in the scale?
Same question I had, B dorian has not G in the scale
i was starting jam that track when likes was 90 i stop playing and i saw 100 in few min...!Nice bruh!!!!!Gzzz!!!
B Dorian ? What about the G# ?
i think its a starting point cause you can do a lot over this
Depends what chord you play over. For example when the G comes, there you switch to B aeolian (natural minor), then when the F#7 comes you play B harmonic minor
@@mo3225-c8r Absolutely, that´s why you can only use Dorian over Bm and E9... It should be called "Dorian/Aeolian/Harmonic Interchange" or something like that
It seems like it's an E Dorian and not a B Dorian but awesome backing track anyways, had fun, thanks!
Yes you can play that but the E doesn't feel like the root
No bro, E Dorian is B Aeolion. That's why it sounds "right" to you. B dorian is a suitable scale to play over the track also.
@@Henryguitar95 in regards to the original comment-- I think You can play B Aeolian over pretty much everything except specifically that E9 because the 3rd of the E is the A flat so playing the G from B Aeolian would conflict, the rest, IMO is a bit more ambiguous
the verse is B dorian, clearly. the chorus is not, though, with the G natural (except on E9). it's also Gmaj7 and not G7
@@akahige8967 You're totally right! ;) You can play B Aeolian everywhere except on the E9 chord because of the G# (so it has to be Dorian at this particular moment). You can't play B Dorian over the G chord. So you have to alternate between B Dorian and B Aeolian, or simply play B Minor Pentatonic where one or the other clashes.... and most importantly B Minor Harmonic for the end of the loop :)
awesome track! thanks for this channel, you are the highlight of my guitar playing. recommendation: do A Dorian next time, as I have yet to see that on this channel. thanks!
Very good

hey, just a general question.... how are you able to produce so many backing tracks in such short periods of time?
It's not actually that difficult. I do some of mine in like an hour or two. it's just simple drum loops, play the chords once or twice. copy, paste, export.
I see, I guess my question is more about the process of coming up with chord ideas deciding how to put chords together.. that sort of thing
...there are plenty of vidz on chord theories, but these do seem inspired by greats like BB King... and Elevated J T offers o/l guitar lessons, even I would dig an advanced one!

VERY GOOD !!!
Using B dorian clashes with the G major chord.
I was thinking the same thing. If you lower the G# to G in the scale, you get no clash while playing the G chord and the scale becomes a B minor. (I think.)
Very cool track, but absolutely NOT in B Dorian all the way through.
The G# conflicts with the G chord, so you either have to play B Aeolian at this particular moment, or simply play B Minor Pentatonic whenever Aeolian/Dorian doesn't work.
You can also use B Minor Harmonic at the end of the loop... i even feel like you almost HAVE to! :P
Wow I'm the first one to like this "tasty" BT Happy New Year Bro (Y)
Does this scale have an extended mode?
This sound is in D escale but have a G# in E major chord, making a dorian Mode.
I cant understand why have a G major in the middle LOL.... but Nice job my friend
Wow that guitar in the photo is sick, what it is?
👍🙏
G???
Hmmm... B Minor works as well... maybe worth to try a modal interchange
makes sense. there is that G chord in there. the progression isn't totally dorian

😍😍😍😍😍😍
I dunno about this one b dorian surely doesn't work too well on this one
Just my opinion, but I find B natural minor sounds better over this as opposed to the shown scale. Just my ear and 1.5 cents.
Not B Dorian to me. Not with a so strong G.
Rather E dorian, no ?
The chord you are calling "Gaug7" is a F#7#9#5 get your shit together.
This is crap! Who puts ads in the middle of a jam track?!
